Billie Joe Rolin

Mr. Billie Joe Rolin, age 75, passed away, Friday, June 30, 2023, in Atmore, AL. He was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. He has lived in the Atmore area most of his life, and was retired from the City of Atmore with many years of service.

Mr. Rolin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed many outdoor activities especially going fishing and hunting. He enjoyed riding around on his golf cart and cutting his grass.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George Washington (Mary Magaline) Rolin, two brothers, Frank Rolin, Glen Rolin, one sister, Delores Schultz, two nephews, Hubert Lee Rackard, Jr; and Glen Rolin.

He is survived by one sister, Lenna Rackard, of Atmore, AL; one niece, Anita Glass (David), of Flomaton, AL; four nephews, Kevin (Trina) Rackard, of Lottie, AL; Rodney Rackard, of Atmore, AL; Jerry (Tammy) Rolin, of Atmore, AL; Tommy Rolin, of Atmore, AL; a host of great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Rev. Kevin Rackard and Rev. William “Bubba” Rolin officiating.

Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Rolin, Chez Mercer, Jacob Rackard, Michael Glass, David Glass, and Keith Rackard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Rolin, Tommy Rolin, and Jerry Rolin.

Eddie Leon Mooney

July 3, 2023

Mr. Eddie Leon Mooney, age 66, of Oak Grove, FL passed away on June 30, 2023 in Pensacola, FL. He was born on February 25, 1957 to Freddy Leon Mooney and Joan Reneé Milstead Mooney. He was a lifelong resident of Oak Grove, FL. He retired from International Paper Company in Cantonment, FL with twenty-seven years of service. Eddie loved being with his family. He cherished time fishing with his dad and his sons on the Tensaw River.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Freddy Leon Mooney and Joan Reneé Mooney; his grandparents, Everett Mooney, Odie Mooney, Frankie Leslie Milstead and Beatrice Milstead.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eunice Marie Mooney; his two sons, Eddie Leslie Mooney of McDavid, FL and Casey Leon Mooney of Oak Grove, FL; his daughter, Miranda Danielle Mooney of Davisville, FL; four grandchildren: Landon Mooney, Hayden Mooney, Chloe Hyatt, Nolan Mooney and his stepmom, Betty Mooney.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Landon Mooney, Nolan Mooney, Hayden Mooney, James Morris, Jacob Coon, Tim Davis and Bryan Ballard.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.

Deborah Kathleen Shelby

Deborah Kathleen Shelby, 62, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada and moved to Pensacola, Florida at the age of 5. She worked as a flight attendant until birth of her son, Jared. Deborah made a career in condominium management and eventually retired at 62.

Deborah spent her life as a dedicated mother, and faithful servant of God; spreading light and positivity to all those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Shelby; son, Jared Shelby; mother, Judy Doucette; father, Ralph Doucette; brother, Robert Doucette; and sisters, Melanie Lee, Jeanine Settle, and Melissa Doucette-Cravatt.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Deborah Kathleen Shelby will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (3015 St. Elizabeth Street, Molino, Florida 32577) at 12:00 p.m. with Father George Thekku officiating. Deborah will be laid to rest at Barrineau Park Colony Cemetery.

Autumn Lee Curtis

Autumn L. Curtis, age 42, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 28, 2023, surrounded by her family in Pensacola, Florida after a courageous sixteen-month battle with cancer.

Autumn was born December 3rd, 1980, in Easton, Pennsylvania to Kenneth A. Curtis and Loretta F. Watford. She went to Tate High School. Autumn had been a stay-at-home mother for most of her children’s lives. Once they were grown, Autumn had started a career at Dunkin’ Donuts where she excelled. She started at the bottom and quickly moved into management where she took over her own store locally. Autumn had such a kind heart and loved training and working beside her coworkers.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Autumn had a passion for traveling, gardening, cooking, cosmetology and caring for her dog, Pee-Wee. She loved to take rides on the boat with her sister and brother-in-law.
Autumn had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
Autumn was a member of Pine Forest Assembly of God.

Autumn is preceded by death by her loving husband, Brett Beede and lifelong friend, her children’s father, William Powell; Grandparents, Grammy, Pappy Curtis and Grandma, Grandpa Finney.

Autumn is survived by her loving children, Aydrian and Anna Powell (Daughter and daughter-in-law) and Trenton Powell (Son); parents, Kenneth A. Curtis (Father), Loretta F. Watford (Mother); Lynn & Robbie Mitchell (Sister and brother-in-law); nephews and niece, Tyler Curtis, Austin Shepherd, Dylan Shepherd, Tristan Mitchell, and Cierra Stearns; great nieces and nephews Ryder, Bristol, Paisley, Whitley, Lakelynn, Hayes and numerous other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 5th, 2023 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. A visitation will be one hour prior at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Ryan Trawick will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526.

Joyce A. Brown, age 62, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023. Joyce was born in Dothan, Alabama on May 9, 1961 to Odis Riley and Pearl Senn Riley. She had a passion for gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Pear Riley; and her lifelong friend and significant other, Mike Chicouske.

Joyce is survived by her children, John Brown III, Monica Barton, and Alisa Sanders; grandchildren, John Brown IV, Nick Brown, Christopher Brown, Hayden Huddleston, Summer Brown, Christopher Barton, Destiny Barton, and Logan Sanders; great grandchild, Elton Brown; sisters, Carolyn Smith, Patricia Brown, and Sonda Riley; nieces and nephews, Daniel Greathouse, Kevin Greathouse, Brandon Smith, Larry Brown, Josh Brown, Serina Brown, Candis Galloway, Airelle Smith, and Kathern Smith.

Barbara A. Agerton, age 85, passed away on June 30, 2023, in Pensacola, FL. She was born in Verndale, S.C. to the late Wilbur and Bertha Miller Cumbee. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward Clark Agerton. She attended Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Melinda) Agerton of Monroeville, AL, James (Stacey) Agerton of Atmore, AL, Gene Agerton of Oak Grove, FL, Kristy (Kris) Marshall of Oak Grove, FL; her sisters, Bernice Jones, Karen Cumbee and Wilma Gilberto; her grandchildren: Justice, Jadlyn, Tristan, Jameson, Ashley, Nick, Jordan, Mindy and Kaylee and her great grandchildren: Aleigha, Christian and Jensen.

Graveside services will be held on July 5, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Tim Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Alene Colbert

Alene Colbert, age 80, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 30, 2023, in Atmore, AL; surrounded by loving family. She was born September 18, 1942, in Garland, AL; and later on, in life moved to Atmore, AL; where she has resided most of her life.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She really enjoyed going to church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Selma Ernest (Peggy) Harvill, and two brothers, Jimmy and Sammy Harvill.

She is survived by her four loving sons, Ricky (Alison) Colbert, of Jupiter, FL; Tommy Colbert, Atmore, AL; Craig Colbert, Tensaw, AL; Scotty Colbert, Perdido, AL; two sisters, Peggy Joyce Maynard, Prattville, AL; Madine Hamilton, Atmore, AL; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Graveside services and burial will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 at 10:15 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Richard Daniels officiating.

Johnny ‘Mike’ Seals

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Seals, age 65, passed away, Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his home in McDavid, FL. He was a resident of Walnut Hill most of his life. He was retired from the shipyard with many years of service.

Mr. Seals enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed many outdoor activities especially going fishing, to the creek, playing basketball, and going to the beach in Panama City. He loved to sit back and watch some good Alabama Football. He enjoyed riding the old back roads.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Joel Seals, mother, Melvie Seals House, wife Becky Seals, two sisters, Lisa Seals Hadley, Janice Hall, and one brother, William Joel Seals, Jr.

He is survived by one son Michael (Crystal) Seals, of Wetumpka, AL; one daughter, Shanon (Richard) Roux, of Monmouth, ME; three sisters, Shelia Lee, of Century, FL; Donna Jordan, of Atmore, AL; Sheree Morgan, of Loxley, Al; five grandchildren, Savanna, Samantha, Olivia, Haiden, Ryland, three great-grandchildren, Myles, Emmalyn, Dallas, special friends, Diane Crews, Winston Dortch, Ronnie Caraway, Ronald Hall, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.  with Rev. Ronald Hall officiating.

Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.

James Larry ‘Stoney’ Presley

James Larry “Stoney” Presley, age 55, of Nokomis, FL passed away on June 27, 2023. He was born on April 28, 1968 in Atmore, AL to Jesse Larry Presley and Linda Davis Presley. He was a retired aircraft mechanic. He had a love of disassembling old things and bringing new life to them. He loved his family dearly. Stoney also enjoyed rock music, fishing, good ole southern food and guns. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Presley; his son, Jesse Stone Presley of Perdido, AL; his daughter, Rachel Presley (Kyle Robbins) of Pensacola, FL; his siblings, Chester Presley of Atmore, AL and Angelia (Billy) Rolin of Atmore, AL and his granddaughter, Riley Brown.

A gathering of friends and family for James Larry “Stoney” Presley will be held Friday, July 7, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore, AL.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joseph Adam ‘Joe’ Richards

June 27, 2023

Joseph Adam “Joe” Richards passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, in Pensacola, FL. He was born September 30, 1938, in New Orleans, LA. Joe worked in Retail Management and retired from Sears. Joe was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. He loved his family, hunting and fishing.

Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret Mary Constantine Richards; parents, Herman and Gertrude Richards; brother, Herman Richard, Jr.; and sister, Ruby Richards Watson.

Joe is survived by his sons, Joseph Richards, Jr., Mike Richards (Rochelle), Steve Richards (Tonya) and Scott Richards (Leslie); grandchildren, whom were his pride and joy, Hannah, Emily, and Sophie; sister, Mary Ann Richards Guidry; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 30, 2023, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, at 11 a.m.

Inurnment will be Friday, July 7, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, FL.
