Mr. Regi Burkett, age 62, passed away, Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Century, FL; at his home surrounded by family at his bedside. He was a lifelong resident of Century, FL. He was employed with Westinghouse for many years.
Mr. Burkett valued his time he got to spend with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed fly fishing, and refurbishing reels. He always enjoyed planting a vegetable garden every year. He was a “Florida Gators Fan”. He was a big fan of Nascar Racing especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and loved collecting old fire extinguishers. He was a member of Century Vol. Fire Department, Station 5, for 39 years, where he served as Chief from 1987-2017. He was the most influential person on building of the current fire house and the stations as of today.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carrie B. (Mary Lois Ray) Burkett, and one sister, Donna Jo Way.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ann Burkett, of Century, FL; one son, Ryan (Mariah) Burkett, of Century, FL; one daughter, Casey (Stephen) Roach, of Grand Ridge, FL; three brothers, Roger (Katie) Burkett, of Century, FL; Todd Burkett, of Century, Fl; Trent (Marjorie) Burkett. of Troy, AL; five grandchildren, Benjamin Roach, Reagan Roach, Samuel Roach, Carlton Roach, Liz Kelley, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Rev. Mitch Herring and Rev. Tim Floyd officiating.
Burial will follow at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.
Pallbearers will be David Adams, Gary Johnson, Mark Way, Ron Harrison, and Stephen Roach.

Infants Sabrina Grace Rhamstine and Dagan Alexander Rhamstine passed away peacefully in the arms of their parents on August 20, 2022. Sabrina and Dagan were born on August 20, 2022 to Alexander and Stephanie Roach Rhamstine in Pensacola, FL. They are loved deeply by their family and friends. They are preceded in death by their great grandparents, William Coon and Mary Coon.
Sabrina and Dagan are survived by their father and mother, Alexander and Stephanie Rhamstine; their grandparents, Valeria Slevin (David Bowling), Timothy (Carrie) Rhamstine and Raymond “Eddie” and Kathryn Roach; their great grandparents, Barbara Rhamstine, Thomas (Maria) Rhamstine and Athalia Cherry, and their uncles, Avery Rhamstine and Pierce Rhamstine.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Grove, FL with Bro. Joel White officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Alex Lorinza “Buster” Hollinger

Mr. Alex Lorinza “Buster” Hollinger, age 90, passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2022, in Century, FL. He was a lifelong resident of Uriah, AL. He was a member of Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church and Poarch Band of Creek Indians. He was also a very skilled “Handy Man.” He served in the United States Army with many years of service.
Mr. Hollinger enjoyed going camping on the sandbars. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing, and playing gospel music. He had a very vibrant and bubbly personality, that he never met a stranger. He traveled many different places spreading the gospel with his gospel music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex (Lillie Mae Heathcock) Hollinger, two wives, Patricia Ann Woods Hollinger, Yvonne Johnson Hollinger, two brothers, Dennis Cee Hollinger, Adam Lavon Hollinger, three sisters, Lucille Turk, Ernestine Lundy, Anna Jean Hollinger, and one grandson, Denver Shuttlesworth.
He is survived by his four sons, Phil (Serena) Hollinger, of Uriah, AL; Gary (Tara) Hollinger, of Uriah, AL; Jarrell (Angel) Hollinger, of Uriah, AL; Darrell (Sandy) Hollinger, of Uriah, AL; one daughter, Brenda (Michael) Helton, of Atmore, AL; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Brian) Marshall, Brandy (Clint) Lassiter, Austin Shuttlesworth, Alexis Hollinger, Dawson (Maggie) Hollinger, Colby Hollinger, Jarrell Hollinger, Jr; Anna Grace Hollinger, five great-grandchildren, Lydia Marshall, Tripp Lassiter, Brooklyn Marshall, Kade Marshall, Ryleigh Marshall, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Williams, Rev. Waylon Stuckey and Rev. Clifton Buchanan officiating.
Burial will follow at Semirah Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.

Margie Brown McGhee, age 81, of Poarch, AL passed away on August 21, 2022. She was born on December 10, 1940 in Geneva, AL to Jack and Polly Davis Brown. She was a Dispatcher with Poarch Police Department until retirement. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chief Houston Lee McGhee; her daughter, Jacqueline McGhee Hadley; her great grandson, Robert Everett “Rhett” Hadley and her siblings: Danny Brown, Larry Brown and Paula Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie L. McGhee (Nicky Hadley) of Poarch, AL; her grandchildren: Valisa (Lee) Lambert, John (Amanda) Chance, Shane (Jessica) Hadley and Kelley (Matt) Cotton and her great grandchildren: Nevaeh Hadley, Mikenna Mattheiss, Hunter Chance, Easton Cotton, Weston Cotton, Lane Chance, Dalton Hadley and Oaklynn Cotton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Ward officiating. Interment will follow at New Home Cemetery in Poarch, AL.

Mr. Robert Leroy McCall, age 78, passed away, Friday, August 19, 2022 in Atmore, AL; surrounded by family at his bedside. He resided most of his life in Atmore, AL. He retired from the United States National Guard with many years of service.
Mr. McCall enjoyed fishing, “Alabama Football” and Tab Benoit music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John O’Bannon McCall and Cynthia Murl Comlander McCall, two sisters, Gayle Juanita Smith, and Helen Luverne Hughes.

Mrs. Helen Luverne Hughes, age 76, passed away, on Friday, August 19, 2022 in Atmore, AL; surrounded by her family at her bedside. She resided most of her life, in Bratt, FL; before moving to Atmore, AL.
She valued her time she has got to spend with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, working, playing softball and other sports. She loved “Alabama Football.”
She is preceded in death by her parents, John O’Bannon McCall and Cynthia Murl Comalander McCall, husband, Joseph Hughes, one daughter, Angela Gordon, one grandson, Allen Gordon, and one brother, Bobby McCall.

Charles Deane Freisinger

Charles Deane Freisinger, age 86, of Molino, Florida passed away on August 19, 2022.
He was born to Peter and Anna Freisinger on July 6, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. He attended JM Tate High School and graduated in 1954. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958 where he was a fireman stationed in Greenland.
He was an outdoorsman who prided himself on having a beautiful yard and loved feeding his fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Anna Freisinger and brother, Richard Freisinger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ollie Mae Freisinger; children, Lauren Freisinger, Mike (Phyllis) Freisinger and Anna (Greg) White; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several bonus great-grandchildren; special niece Carol Ann Swinford; brother-in-laws Robert (Pat) Kennedy, and Dink (Cindy) Kennedy; sister-in-laws Betty Faye (Edward) Wooten, Alice Kennedy and Charlotte Seamon, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Pallbearers will be Glenn King, Shane Gibson, John Middleton, John Chance, Justin Patterson and Robert Kennedy.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2022 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Reverend Dale Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Baptist Cemetery, Molino, Florida. A meal will be served at the church after burial.
Eugene Garove

Eugene Garove, Colonel USAF (Ret) was born in 1929 in Washington, PA, to Francis P. and Mary (Marenchin) Garove and passed away from this earthly life into our heavenly Father’s arms on August 18, 2022.
He served two years in the Navy beginning in 1947 attaining the rank of Petty Officer First Class followed by two years in the Naval Academy as a Cadet ending in 1951. After leaving the Navy in 1951, he attended Ohio University for 2 years. Gene started flight training with the US Air Force in 1953. He finished his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at Oklahoma State University in 1961. His academic work concluded with a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma University in 1968.
He served in the US Air Force as a pilot from 1954 through 1980 where he flew F-89D andC-130A and E aircraft, as well as serving as a Base Civil Engineer at three different Air Force bases. He also completed two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded many medals, commendations, and awards during his career.
After retirement he worked in the Geology Department at the University of Oklahoma for several years, as well as teaching private flying lessons and aviation basics both in Oklahoma and Florida. For over 20 years, he was usher at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pensacola, FL.
His love of flying was second only to his love for his wife to whom he was married for 62 years. Together they traveled the world, and even in retirement they spent many days driving across the country enjoying the journey.
Gene is survived by his wife, Nadine (DeRousse); two daughters, Deborah Nolan and husband Marshall of Clifton, VA and Janin Kroenung and husband Dennis of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Allison Craiger and husband Jacob, Christopher and Victoria Nolan, and Lauren Kroenung; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Craiger.
Preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 12:30-1:30pm at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. The service will follow at 1:30pm. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Stella Doria Terrell resident of Cantonment, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the age of 60.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Duffie Thomas and Abigail Yazzie Thomas; step-father, Donald Peterson; sisters, Diana and Donna Thomas; daughter, Ly’Shauna Terrell; and granddaughter, Ja’Miyah Brown.
Stella is survived by her husband, Gregory Demetrius Terrell; sister, Gail (Larry) Imler; daughters, Ly’Nethia (James) Brown, Ly’Kesha Terrell (Fonte) Benson, Ly’Sheena Capehart, and Ly’Tasha (Jeffery) Stanton; son-in-law, Brandon Capehart; ten grandchildren, Isaiah, Paris, Jaylen, Jordin, Jayla, Jaiden, Jalia, Kingston, Josiah, Elijah; five nephews; one niece; and one sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Clexton Middleton officiating. Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Florida.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Mrs. Andrea Etheridge, age 56, passed away, Thursday, August 18, 2022 in Perdido, AL. She resided most of her life in Atmore, AL; before moving to Perdido, AL. She was an account for the utilities board with many years of service.
Mrs. Etheridge loved spending time with her husband and playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed music, singing, and playing the piano in church. She enjoyed her phone, especially to get on “Facebook” to see what was going on with friends and family. She enjoyed going dog hunting and “Alabama Football.”
She is preceded in death by her mother, Opal Wiggins Greenwood, one son, Matthew Baisden, one brother, Donnie Gates, and one sister, Debbie Gates.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Billy Etheridge, of Perdido, AL; one son, William “Sebren” (Shea) Etheridge, of Flomaton, AL; two daughters, Britton Baisden, of Century, FL; Opal Suzanne Etheridge, of Poarch, AL; one brother, Keith (Grettel) Wiggins, of South FL; one sister, Elesha Pecevich, of Canoe, AL; three grandchildren, Britton Grace Respress, Jovi Saige Etheridge, Joseph Alton Sheffield, other relatives, and friends.
