The Northview Chiefs lost were defeated by Chipley 70-53 Tuesday night in Bratt, while the Lady Chiefs lost to Chipley 41-22. Northview will host Laurel Hill on Tuesday.

Flomaton Hurricanes Advance To 3A State Championship Game

Somebody needs to tell the National Weather Service that hurricane season is not over. The Flomaton Hurricanes area headed to state.
The Canes defeated Providence Christian of Dothan 34-33 Friday night in Flomaton.
It was the first time in the 94-year history of Flomaton football that the Hurricanes had appeared in state semifinal game. And now for the first time ever, the Flomaton Hurricanes advance to the 3A state championship game Thursday at 11 a.m. in Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium. They Hurricanes (11-3) will take on Piedmont (12-2).
A record crowd packed into Flomaton’s stadium to see the historic game, and oh what a game it was.
And all came down to the last 2.5 seconds of play. The Hurricanes were up 34-33, and the Eagles were ready for the win with a 27-yard field goal attempt. But Flomaton blocked the kick for the dramatic win as the horn sounded.
Flomaton was down 33-26 about halfway through the fourth quarter. Daquan Johnson found Da’Shun Odom with a long touchdown pass with 5:30 to go. With a two-point conversion into the endzone, the Hurricanes were up by one.

Northview, Flomaton Basketball Games Rescheduled

Northview versus Flomaton basketball games set for this week have been rescheduled due to Flomaton’s playoff football game Friday night.
The games were scheduled for November 26 and November 29. They will not be played at Flomaton on January 14 and at Northview on January 28.
Flomaton will host Providence Christian Friday night at 7:00 in the state football championship semifinal round.
Beulah Middle Cheerleaders Take First, Ransom Second In Cheer Challenge

Beulah Middle School placed first and Ransom Middle School was second in the recent Tate High School Charity Cheer Challenge. The first-year cheerleading program at the new Beulah Middle is coached by Taylor Rouchon. Rouchon graduated from Tate High School this year. She has 15 years experience cheerleading, including Ransom, Tate and all-star programs. She also cheers at the the collegiate level at Coastal Alabama Community College. Flomaton Makes History With 12-10 Playoff Win (With Other Scores)

The Flomaton Hurricanes made history Friday night with their first-ever third round playoff win. The Hurricanes beat Pike County 12-10 on the road in Brundidge.
Pike County was first on the board 3-0 with a field goal with about six minutes to go in the second quarter.. The Hurricanes scored on a 14-yard pass from Da’Quan Johnson to Quincie McCall for a 6-3 advantage. Johnson was in again for Flomaton for a 12-3 lead with 3:06 to go in the half.
Pike County scored with a 69-yard touchdown run to pull within two of Flomaton.
Flomaton will host Providence Christian next Friday night at 7:00 in the state semifinal round.
