Cornelius “Neal” Reynolds, 94, born August 18, 1915, to Stephen Parker Reynolds and Hattie Alabama McKinley Reynolds in Franklin, AL, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Cantonment, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Reynolds; mother, Hattie Reynolds; first wife, Ollie Mae Mabrey Reynolds; second wife, Velma Buzbee; three brothers, Lester Reynolds, Carl Reynolds and Hunter Reynolds.
He is survived by his two sisters, Myrtle Norris and Dorothy (Dot) Drew; two daughters, Elaine Jones and Darlene (Terry) Boyett; two sons, Ronnie Reynolds and Dwight (Debbie) Reynolds; eight grandchildren, Travis (Jenny) Boyett, Holly (Mike) Milstead, Raymond (Laurie) Jones, Heather (John) Nicholls, David (Natalie) Jones, Megan (Matt) Ausbrooks, Logan Reynolds, and Clayton Reynolds; ten great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jones, Angelica Jones, Ember Reynolds, Zoey Reynolds, Nathan Jones, Connie Nicholls, Zachary Milstead, Emily Jones, Rachel Jones and Joel Jones.
The family would like to give special thanks to Linda Spencer, Hazel Smith, and Cathy Willis for all the tender loving care that they gave to “Pa”, and to Dr. Robert Flurry, his nurse, Karen, and his staff for their professional and prompt care.
The viewing will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill, Cantonment on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 20:30 a.m., Pastor Mark Torrez, Rev. Phil Enfinger, and Rev. Raymond Jones will be officiating.
Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at McCullough Cemetery, McCullough, Alabama.

Fred Owens Jr.

Mr. Fred Owens Jr, 83, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at a Brewton hospital. He was a native of Wilmer, Ark., and a resident of the Flomaton and Century area since 1971, coming from Bossier City, La. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, retiring after 22 years of service as a jet engine and missile technician. While stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, he received the Air Force Commendation Medal for rescuing a launched, out of control missile that could have done grave damage to the base. After he retired from the military, he worked in the oil fields as a technician. He was a member of Century First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lou S. Owens of Flomaton; four sons, Fred A. (Sharon) Owens, Terrance ‘Terry’ H. (Cynthia) Owens, Darrell (Kimberly) Owens and Tracy R. Owens, all of Flomaton; a daughter, Sandra L. (Donny) Hastings of Brewton; two sisters, Francis Wright of Lake Providence, La. and Kathlene Gideon of Dearborn, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Stewart and the Rev. Gam Graves officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Cemetery with full military honors and Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Kyle Owens, T.J. Owens, Mickey Sansom, Coby Owens, David Owens, and Charles Sansom.

Infant Ryder Nathaniel Depue Carden passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010 in Birmingham, AL.
Ryder was a native and resident of Century, FL. He was preceded in death by a Cousin, Bryant Terrance McCall, his Great-Grandparents, Robert Burke, Betty Redmond, Nick Carden and Stella Carden, a Great-Aunt, Elizabeth Burnham, and a Great-Uncle, Douglas Carden.

Nella Mae Hester, age 81, of Molino, Florida passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Hester was born January 21, 1929 in Brunswick, Georgia to Gordon and Madeline Arnett Westberry. She was a member of Victory Assembly of God Church.
Surviving Mrs. Hester are her husband, James S. Hester; her two sons, Russell and Ronald Hester; her two daughters, Patricia Jane Clemente and Karen Reichle; 17 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Victory Assembly of God Church in Cantonment with Rev. Jeff McKee and Rev. Doug Green officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: grandsons, Troy Hester, Tobe Hester, Jared Hester, Jason Hester, Jimmy Reichle and Christopher Hester.

Mrs. Thead was a native of Poarch, AL, and a lifelong resident of Atmore, AL. She was a loving Mother and church worker and attended the Friendly Holiness Church. Preceded in death by her Husband, Melvin R. Thead, a Son, Steve Adam Thead, 3 Brothers, Cassie McGhee, Sam McGhee, and Kinzie McGhee, and 3 Sisters, Inell McGhee, Evelene Manning, and Mary Flurnoy..
Survivors include: three Sons, Hubert and Lenna Rackard of Atmore, AL, Winston and Jean Thead of Bristol, TN, and Marlin and Jeannie Thead of Poarch, AL; 10 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; and two Sisters, Eva Ramer of Moundville, AL, and Willie Mae Bray of Pensacola, FL.

Mr. L. J. Carnley, 82, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at a Pensacola medical facility. He was a native of Jay, Fla. and a longtime resident of Century. He was a salesman for the National American Corporation where he dealt with real estate and land sales. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and he was preceded in death by his parents, Pink Holly and Gladys Carnley; a son, Jackie F. Carnley; a daughter, Gloria J. Johnson and a grandson, Frankie G. Carnley.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Floyd Carnley of Century; two sons, Frankie (Kay) Carnley of Flomaton, and Ricky (Marie) Carnley of McDavid, Fla.; three daughters, Jo Ann Williamson, Joyce Carnley and Joan (Earl) Dewise, all of Flomaton; two brothers, Shorty Carnley of Davisville, Fla., and Dan Carnley of Flomaton; a sister, Mae Owen of Pensacola; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Miss Dolly.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Enfinger officiating. Burial will follow at Cora Cemetery in Jay, with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.

William Everett “Billy” Carlson

William H. “Billy” Carlson passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010.
Billy Carlson was born in Pensacola, Florida on January 29, 1980. He graduated from Tate High School in 1998 and attended Pensacola Junior College. Billy worked as a residential home designer at Today’s Homes, Billy was no ordinary employee. His wonderful artistic talent and dependability led his employer Jim Bozeman to remark that he felt like Billy was part of his family.
Billy’s ambitious pursuit of a career in acting and modeling led to a number of successes which included various photo shoots and spreads in local and regional publications, television commercials, runway modeling, and an appearance in the movie, “Final Destination”. His commitment to this career led to an unparalleled dedication to personal health and fitness. He could often be found in the gym three times a day, five to six days a week.
Billy’s love for refurbishing cars and trucks was first triggered by his father’s gift of a ’56 Ford pick-up. Subsequently, he built and renovated various show cars and hot rods. His two most favorite vehicles, a GMC truck and a Camaro convertible will be displayed at the viewing and funeral.
Along with his love for cars and automobiles, Billy loved to help others. There was no task too large or challenge too difficult for Billy. He was extremely creative, thoughtful, and resourceful. He loved his friends and family, and lit up a room whenever he entered. He would do anything for anyone. His self-sacrificial nature has resulted in a great multitude of friends and family that loved him so much.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; Mr. Raymond William Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Melatt, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Everett Carlson, and his best friend; Brian Carter.
Survivors include his parents; Dennis and Peggy Carlson, his brother; Scott Carlson, his sister; Shelly James (Michael), his grandmother; Mary Jones, his great aunt and uncle; Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sam Newton, his great aunts; Mrs. Gervis Jones and Mrs. Mona Pond, numerous aunts and uncles; Jerry Jones, Larry Jones, Mike Jones, Tommy Jones, Doug Jones, Susan Escobar, Kathy Adams, Nancy Frank and Steven Carlson, his special friend; Regina McKinley along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment with Rev. David Wiggins officiating.
Serving, as pallbearers will be; Jason Baltimore, Beezer Beczakowski, Daniel Carnley, Daniel Cook, Dale Nelson and Jeff Wiggins. Honorary pallbearers will be; Scott Carlson, Steven Carlson, Jerry R. Jones, Larry Jones, Tommy Jones, Mike Jones and Doug Jones.

Inge T. Bedard left this world after a long courageous battle with cancer on June 19, 2010. Born on January 4, 1933 in Koblenz, Germany to Karl and Martha Tillmann. Inge dedicated her life to being a supportive military wife, volunteer to the Red Cross and many military organizations. She loved cooking, traveling, and her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Inge leaves behind her loving and adoring husband of 30 years; Robert, her son, Bernhard and wife Julie Becker of Palestine, Texas; daughter, Sylvia and husband Mark Dyke of Cantonment, Florida; stepdaughter, Susan and husband Robert Murphy of Los Angeles, California; stepdaughter, Patty and husband Richard Yates of Jacksonville, Florida; as well as her loving grandchildren; grandson, Christopher, wife Laura, and sons Andrew and Aidan Dyke of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; grandson, Sean Dyke of Lincoln, Nebraska; granddaughter, Ashley and husband Erik Myers of Gulf Breeze, Florida; brother, Rolf and wife Anelise Tillmann of Koblenz, Germany; sister-in-law, Rita Atwood and family of Lowell, Massachusetts. Inge was a truly genuine person and will be deeply missed.

His was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty Brantley and a brother, Nick Brantley. He was survived by his brother, Ray Brantley of Milton, Fla. and two sisters, Rhonda Godwin of Pensacola, Fla. and Jennifer Boyett of Montgomery.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Osaka FWB Church in Flomaton and visitation will be held at 5 p.m.

Rosa Lee was born July 20, 1928, to the late Mr. Clarence Harris Sr., and Mrs. Jimmie Lou Harris in Cantonment, Florida.
