Mr. Larry Stephen “Steve” Moseley, 54, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at a Pensacola, FL hospital.
Mr. Moseley was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, AL and attended the Brook’s Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his Son, Denver Moseley of Atmore, AL; three Daughters, Blaire and Chris Singleton of Atmore, AL, Gina and Jonathan Wetzel of Crestview, FL, and Miranda Moseley of Atmore, AL; his Parents, J.T. and Laurie Moseley of Bay Minette, AL; 6 Grandchildren, Hunter Moseley, Talerie Singleton, Jaxon Singleton, and Cole Singleton, all of Atmore, AL, Chesnea Moseley Wetzel and Brody Wetzel, both of Crestview, FL; and the Mother of his children, Janet McLeod of Atmore, AL.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Persee and the Rev. Mike Wetzel officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M .at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Turberville, Bo Bryars, Scott Bryars, Jeffrey Gibbs, Jimmy Campbell and Ken McLeod.
Evelyn Inez White

Evelyn Inez White, 71, of Century passed away July 4, 2010, in Jay.
Mrs. Inez was born March 23, 1939, in Enon.
Her husband, Joe Ivey White; a son, Carl Joe White; two infant children and a granddaughter, Jolene Hiebert preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Donnie) Victor and Londy (Ray) Himes; two sisters, Emogene Mitchell of Pace, Fla. and Mildred (Bennie) Pugh of Thomasville, N.C.; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren and family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, from Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Kathy Stophel and Pastor J.T. Guyton officiating. Burial will follow in Byrneville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. July 7, 2010, from Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Cody Joe Fowler, James Victor, Ronnie Merchant, Michael Seagers, Eli Himes and Lee Waller. Honorary pallbearers will be John Fowler, Jason Victor, John Victor and Bennie Pugh.
Florence Merriline Garrett

Mrs. Florence Merriline Garrett, age 86, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at a Pensacola, Fla. hospital. She was a native of Castleberry, Ala., a former resident of Brewton, Ala., and a resident of Atmore, Ala. for the past 43 years. She served as chaplain for the VFW Post 7016 of Atmore, vice-president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Brewton, Ala., a member of the Women’s Gardens Clubs of Atmore and a member of the Lottie Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dempsey Garrett; a son, Donald Jack Garrett; and her parents, Issac and Cora Anderson.
Mrs. Garrett is survived by three sons, Jerry Wayne Garrett of Atmore, Robert Dempsey and Kay Garrett of Indianapolis, Ind., and Michael Riley Garrett of Pace, Fla.; one daughter, Deborah and Charles “Shag” Thornton of Booneville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary and Tom Mullins of Pensacola and Emily and Melvin Johnson of Jay, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 30, 2010 between 6 and 9 p.m.at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Vera Morgan Singleton, 99, of Walnut Hill, Fla. died Monday, June 28, 2010 in Bay Minette.
She was a homemaker, born in Alabama on November 11, 1910, to the late James Pollard and Catherine Daniels Morgan.
Her husband, Groce Singleton; one brother, Emmuel Morgan and three sisters, Earlee Lynn, Nellie Ruth Walker and Emma Gray Nunn, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, James Singleton of Walnut Hill, Fla., and Gene A. Singleton of Atmore; one brother, James Morgan of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one sister, Maureen Gulsby of Cantonment, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Gwen, Denise, Theodore, Glenda, Barbara, Becky, Autry, Mark, Janet, Darryl and Janine; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benny Stokes and the Rev. Tim McCraney officiating. Private interment will follow at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday, July 2, 2010.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Oakwood Nursing Care Center, Dr. Armstrong and the staff at North Baldwin Infirmary, for all the loving care given to our mother.

Mr. Harold Everett Godwin, 75, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010 in Pensacola, FL.
Mr. Godwin was a native of Oak Grove, FL and resident of Pensacola, FL for the past 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, a retired employee from the Pensacola Monsanto manufacturing plant, followed by nuclear electronics work at locations around the nation. After this, he was a licensed realtor in the Pensacola area, most recently with Better Homes Realty before retiring full time. He was an avid golfer and devoted fan of NASCAR and the Florida Gators. A number of children and other family members are members of the armed forces, a fact of which he was extremely proud.
Preceded in death were his wife, Susie Godwin, and his parents, Jack and Arlene Godwin and a brother, Jimmy Godwin.
Survivors include: his son, Lieutenant Commander Harold Kevin and Cherie Godwin of Chesapeake, VA; two daughters, Audrey Suzette England of Knoxville, TN, and Laurie Suzanne and Greg Nita of Cibola, TX; five grandchildren, Jason England, Logan England, Peyton Nita, Delaney Nita and Kaitlyn Godwin; a brother, Cary Von and Connie Godwin of Altha, FL; and a sister, Diane and Raymond Jerkins of Atmore, Ala.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Chewning officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Randolph McPherson, 96, of Atmore died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Atmore Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church in the Freemanville Community with Elder Edgar McCarthy, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010. His body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Bobbie Mae Parker Dailey, 73, of Atmore died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Century Nursing Care Center in Century, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Dr. A.L. Durant Sr., and the Rev. Willie Hawthorne, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Family Hour being held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Earl O. Kimbro

On the evening of Thursday, June 24, 2010, the Lord called another of His children home. Earl O. Kimbro was born October 5, 1923 to John P. and Carlie Garrett Kimbro in Florala, Alabama. While living in the community of Brent, Florida and attending Brent Primary School, he met Gladys H. Norris, the girl who in 1944 would become his wife. Earl Kimbro was a member of The Greatest Generation and served with the U. S. Army in France during WWII. He retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1988 after 27 years of service.
Earl was preceded in death by his bride of 52 years, his parents and brothers Nathan, Howard and Walter Kimbro, and his first grandson Robert David Kimbro. Mr. Kimbro was again blessed and married a second time to Elsie Manning. They were married for 10 years when Mr. Kimbro was called home.
He is survived by his wife Elsie, his children Bobby (Reba Gainey) Kimbro, Rev. Ron (Sharon Gainey) Kimbro and Rosemary Kimbro (Rev. Ken) Cook, step children Wayne (Linda) Manning, Alan (Debbie) Manning, Beth (Charlie) Dillard, and Karen (Royce) Tate. He is further survived by his brother Enzor (Edna Earl) Kimbro, sister Vernell (Byron) Tims and sister Elna Ezell.
Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family members and his furry friend and companion, his little dog “Happy”.
Services will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with visitation Monday, June 28 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Faith Chapel North with burial to follow at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church in Bogia, Florida, where he was a member.
Services will be conducted by Dr. Dale Patterson of East Brent Baptist Church and Rev. Nathan Brown of Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Ernie Able of Molino passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on July 27, 1932 to Samuel and Lillie Abel. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Alabama. He served four years in the U. S. Navy and worked over 36 years in federal civil service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frank and sisters, Mary Wilder, Fredda Hubbard, Juanita Street, Jamie Venn and Dixie Abel.
He is survived by his wife; Jean Abel, son; Robert Abel (Tammy), daughters; Susan Sullivan (Andy), and Laura Kennedy (Pierre), grandchildren; Sylvie Kennedy, Cathy Kennedy, Colleen Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, Marcus Abel and Sean Abel.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Edna Grace Cross Wiggins, 86, formerly of Pensacola and Madison County, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home in Lee, Florida.
She was born in Crenshaw County, AL in the community of Pigeon Creek. She and her husband of 64 years, Lambert Dewitt, moved to Lee in 2005 after living 48 years on Camden Road, Pensacola, FL. She entered the U.S. Army on April 4, 1944 serving her country for a brief time during WWII.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and loved cooking, working in her flower beds and baking the families’ favorite “Pound Cake!” She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Jay, Nicole, Mandy, David, Katie, Richie, Lenny, Allen, Butch and Jackie and her eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Richard Cross and Nina Olive Stallings; her siblings, Houston Cross, Carol Cross, Earl Cross, Joe Cross, Sel Cross, Lois Bennett, Velma Dillard and Mary McCormick.
She is survived by her husband, Lambert Dewitt Wiggins; sons, David (JoeAnn) Wiggins of Madison, FL and Roy (Rebecca) Wiggins of Cantonment and a daughter, Rhonda (Frank) Galbraith of Lee, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend David Wiggins officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Home Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Dillard, Jimmy Dillard, Lenny Galbraith, All Galbraith, Butch Galbraith, Richie Wiggins, Jay Daniels and David Schrader.
