Timothy “Gooley” Monroe Hayes, Jr., 22, of Atmore, passed away November 8, 2015. He was born in Atmore on September 6, 1993. He was employed with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home and was an avid Alabama fan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hybert Hayes, Agnes and Sidney Lynam and Dot Harrleson; his uncles and one aunt, Eddie Burkett, John Lynam, Lee Lynam and Brenda Brown. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Madison Monroe Hayes; father, Timothy Hayes, Sr.; mother and stepfather, Brandy Lynam and James Marlon Smith, Jr.; one sister, Tiffany Smith; three brothers, James, III, John and Jake Smith, all of Atmore; grandparents, Betty Reid of Monroeville; grandfather, James Harrleson of Atmore; stepchildren, Emma Rone and Brayden “Bubba” Weaver; girlfriend, Christine Weaver; aunts and uncles, Charlene Lynam, Diane Hadley, Tammy McKenzie, Joyce (Glen) McLwain, Janet Burkett, Jenette (Russell) McGhee, Shonda (Eric) Strehl, Angela (Roy) Mosely, Janice (Don) Styron, Jerry (Kim) Smith, Donnie Smith; special uncle, Skeeter Crochet; best friend, Billy Gee; special cousins, Mike (Jesse) McKenzie, Keith Brown, Stephen (Dana) McKenzie, Ashley McKenzie; and many more cousins, aunts and uncles that he loved very much.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Fails and Bro. Donnie Wasdin officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be James “Lil Man” Smith, Stephen McKenzie, Michael McKenzie, Nathan Powell, Terrell Boutwell, Billy Griffis, Justin McGhee and Rudy Lynam.

Jody Lynn Hardy

Jody Lynn Hardy, 39, of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015.
Jody was born on April 8, 1976, to Charles and Cindy Hardy. She was a graduate from Tate High School where she was involved in the “Showband of the South” color guard.
Jody owned and operated Jody’s Housekeeping, a business she started and was very proud of. She was a devoted mother who will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Hardy.
Jody is survived by her children, Travis Delacruz, Taylor Delacruz, and Raleigha Heard; mother, Cindy Hardy of Pensacola; sister, Chasiti (Andy) Goss of Texas; brother, Chuck (Kim) Hardy of Pensacola; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. prior to services.

L.G. “Pete” Thomas

L.G. “Pete” Thomas, age 83, of Molino, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015. Pete was born March 11, 1932, in Falco, AL, to Lucious and Ancie Bell Thomas. He was an avid fisherman and in his younger years was an avid hunter. He enjoyed the outdoors and socializing with his old fishing buddies. With the passing of Pete Thomas and Willie Ward the Escambia River will be restocked with fish.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Earle Thomas of 54 years.
Survivors include his four children, Danny (Deborah) Thomas, Debbie (Larry) Matroni, Donnell (Pam) Thomas, and Donna McQuaig; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Thomas; two sisters, Ellen Turman and Mary Woods; honorary sons, Lonnie (Mule) and Wayne (Cotton) Ward; honorary daughter, Faye Lee; and special friends, Budda Fillingim, Jody Newton, and Glen Pierce.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Rusty Knowles officiating.
Burial will follow in First Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Molino.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Mr. Elbert “Fat Boy” Stacey, 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in Pensacola.
Mr. Stacey was a native and lifelong resident of Rabun, Alabama. Mr. Stacey was a member of the Blue Sandbed Hunting Club and Alabama Dog Hunters Association. He worked offshore on Dredge Boats for years and Standard Furniture. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luzell and Letha Mae Stacey; two sisters, Jeanette Stacey Chaffin and Marie Stacey Hadley; and three sons, Jeremy E. Stacey, Ronald E. Stacey and Randall E. Stacey.
He is survived by his wife, Rose (Joiner) Stacey of Rabun; daughter, Amanda Stacey (Robert) Pitts of Perdido; four step-daughters, Jennifer Tuberville of Rabun, Christy Tuberville (Ed) White of Robertsdale, Jessica Tuberville (Fernando) Flores of Rabun and Angie Tuberville of Rabun; three sisters, Joyce Stacey (Ernest) Hadley of Stockton, Carolyn Stacey (Danny) Hadley of Perdido and Diane Stacey (Don) Sanks of Dyas, AL; three brothers, Willie Stacey of Rabun, Bob (Lori Davidson) Stacey of Stockton and Bo Stacey of Rabun; one grandchild; 11 step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one step-great-granchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the New Providence Baptist Church with Bro. Angelo Thomley and Bro. Michael Hadley officiating.
Burial was at Dean Cemetery.

Mrs. Ethel Louise Gates, 71, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in Spanish Fort.
Mrs. Gates was a native of Lottie, Alabama and a resident of Spanish Fort for the past 35 years. Mrs. Gates was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ethel Milstead; sister, Wynell Milstead; and son, Charles “Lonnie” Breedlove.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Gates of Spanish Fort; three sons, William Curtis Gates of Millington, TN, Floyd Lee Breedlove of Magnolia Springs, AL and Johnny William Breedlove of Citronelle, AL; six daughters, Tambra Sluder of Spanish Fort, Laurie Ann Davis of Fairhope, Susan Luree Breedlove of Summerdale, Shawn Louise Strasser of Bay Minette, Cynthia Sue Griffin of Bay Minette and Lou Ann Strasser of Daphne; four brothers, Buford Milstead of Fairhope, Ray Milstead of Mobile, Roy Odom of Fairhope and Edward Odom of Pensacola; two sisters, Luvern Boyington of Whitehouse Fork and Frances Cook of Shubuta, MS; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and special Aunt, Mary Alice Odom of Bay Minette.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating.
Burial was at Milstead Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steven Gates, Blake Gates, Paul Strasser, Michael Griffin, Pat Goodman and Ed Griffin.

Herbert Hare

Herbert Hare, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
He retired from International Paper in 2008. Herbert loved fishing, hunting, just being outside and usually working in his shed.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Audrey; three children, Stephanie (Jason) Comalander, Eric Hare (Tabitha Roberts) and Vanessa Hare; six grandchildren, Eric, Destanie, Jasmine, Zachery, Jason Jr. and Little Raylee; one brother, Bartis (Brenda) Hare; one step-sister, Sue Fillingim; one step brother, Ray Gene White; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Active pallbearers were James Hare, Jeff Hare, Joseph Hare, Tracey Hare, Matthew Freeman, and Elliot Ross.
Interment was in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Robertsdale.
In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted in Herbert’s name towards funeral expenses.
Halee Nickole Boyd-Bush

Halee was born October 6, 1994 to Daniel Jason “Jake” Boyd and Martha “Mardi” Elizabeth (Gatlin) Jernigan in Pensacola, Fl. She was a 2014 graduate of Tate High School where she was a member of the Beta Club and attended Pensacola State College. She was a longtime member of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and served as a volunteer for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Organization.
Halee is survived by her devoted husband Sidney Albert Bush, loving brother Spencer Boyd, adoring grandparents Mary Crawley of Lemoore, CA and Dan and Linda Boyd of Pensacola, loving great-grandmother Isabel “Mamu” Goss of Pensacola, stepfather Keith Jernigan and step-sister Kandace Jernigan of Munson, FL, beloved adopted puppy Nova and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A celebration of Halee’s life will be held on November 14, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 800 E. 9 Mile Road, Pensacola, Fl with the Pastor Jeff Howard officiating. Visitation is at 9:00 a.m. and the service is at 11:00 a.m. Halee specifically asked that no one wear black to her service. Halee’s motto was “When you have something to live for, you can’t stop fighting” and she lived up to that every day of her life! Glen Shannon Taylor, 50 of Atmore, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2015, in Walnut Hill. He was a mechanic with Offshore Oil Industry. He was born in Atmore on February 23, 1965, to Albert Austin and Patricia McBride Taylor.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Austin Taylor.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Patricia Taylor (Feldman) Frymire of Atmore; two sons, Anthony Austin Taylor of Pensacola and Nolan Cole Taylor of Indianapolis, ID; two daughters, Lachlan Taylor of Bay Minette and Kelsey Taylor of Flomaton; one sister, Alissa Taylor of Redondo Beach, CA; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Jacob, Jaxin, Easton, Kiley and Callen.
Services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 12 p.m. at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating.
Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.

Marcus Eugene Johnson

Marcus Eugene Johnson, age 61, of Century, finished his course on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the Baptist Hospital in Jay.
He is the son of Doris Laird Johnson and the late David Donald Johnson, Sr., owners of Park Funeral Home in DeFuniak Springs, FL.
Marcus began his law enforcement career in the DeFuniak Springs Police Department under Chief Clinton Hooks. He spent several years as part of the Walton County Sheriff Department under Sheriff Quinn McMillian. Both added greatly to his career which led to the Florida Department of Corrections where his highest rank was Colonel.
Marcus was large in stature with a big heart and a caring personality. He was quiet in the sense that many confided in him with assurance. He was firm, fair and focused. He gave his best and expected no less from others.
Memories of Marcus will forever be enshrined in the heart of his wife, Sherry C. Johnson; children, Candace D. (Jimmy) Jones and Vincent D. (Senetria) Longmire, Sr.; grandchildren, Camryn D. Johnson, Caitlyn D. Johnson, Vincent D. Longmire, Jr., Amare’ D. Longmire, Jalen Jones and Alexis Jones; his mother, Doris L. James Earl Taylor

James Earl Taylor, age 59, of Milton, went to be with Jesus on Friday, October 30, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Labron and mother, Laura Jones Taylor.
He left behind four siblings, Jerome (Lori) Taylor, Jeffery (Karla) Taylor, Sherry Taylor and Sandra (Van) Carroll; many nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. James loved everyone and he was loved by everyone. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and helping anyone he could. He will be missed greatly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 3 p.m. at Cobbtown Holiness Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time.
