Lee Roy Wiggins

R. Lee Roy Wiggins, 92 of Walnut Hill, FL. passed away December 4, 2019 in Pensacola, FL. He was born on September 26, 1927 in Bratt, FL. to the late Preston and Grace Langford Wiggins. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bratt and honorary deacon and was past deacon at Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He was a mason, a member of the Walnut Hill Ruritan Club for over 50 years and was the First President of Walnut Hill Water Works. He served in the United States Army and served on the draft board. He was a retired district conservationist from Escambia County Florida Soil and Water Conservation. Mr. Wiggins was instrumental in working with Past Superintendent Jim Mayo of the Escambia County School Board for the location of Northview High School. He worked on creating the Northview High School Football Field and Baseball Fields at Northwest Escambia Bradberry Park. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Rayford Wiggins and Leonard Wiggins.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years Lois Shell Wiggins, two sons Larry (Pamela) Wiggins of Daphne, FL. and Gary (Judith) Wiggins of Davisville, FL. Two sisters Clydell Tisdale of Daphne, AL. and Willneila Henderson of Flomaton, AL. granddaughters Leah (Gary) King, Robyn (Brian) Andrews, Kerrie (Teryll) Boutwell, Melissa (Josh) McElhaney, Jessica (Terry) Levins, Amanda Lashley, Deana (Shawn) Jones and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Chewning officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Wiggins, Lamar Wiggins, Harry Brooks, Phillip Henderson, Shawn Jones and Terry Levins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church of Bratt.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 9AM until service time at 10:30 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Duane L. Banks
December 4, 2019
Duane L. Banks, 53, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019. He was born November 21, 1966, in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Jack Banks and Mary Lee Connors Banks. He was a carpenter most of his life until he became ill several years ago. Duane was a former trustee for the F.O.E. #2442 in Shoals, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Steven Pace.
Duane is survived by his wife of 17 years, Virginia Banks; son, Jory Anderson; three step-children, Alexia Nelson, Derek Nelson, and Taylor Gaskey; five grandchildren; sister, Denise Pace; niece, Rachel Pace; nephews, Steven Pace and Rannon Pace; aunt, Carolyn Babb; and cousins, Larry (Renee) Babb, Tamara Babb, Frances Ducker, Bobby Ducker, Brenda Bledsoe, and Donna Ducker.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Family will receive friends at 3 p.m. prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Duane’s memory to the American Liver Foundation.

Gloria Jean Christiansen

Mom, Daughter, Granny, Nana, Gloria J. Christiansen, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019. She lived a good life filled with friends and family and adopted many extra children. She managed several convenience store chains before going into the cleaning business and becoming disabled.
Gloria always had a big heart, was willing to help anyone that she could, and would not leave a friend stranded. She did the best she could to make people happy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Tague; grandparents, John and Garnett Coburn and Raymond and Sylvia Christiansen; father, Lawrence Christiansen; and mother, Viola Meredith.
Gloria is survived by her father, Bruce Meredith; brothers, John, Terry, Dave, and Bobby Christiansen; sisters, Patty Rolett and Debbie Christiansen; daughters, Shelly (Ron) Burch, Yvette Tague, and Royette (Cody) Owen; son, Tyrone Tague; her sidekick and companion, Sassy; grandchildren, Nichole and Kris Burleson, Cody and Kenneth Fincher, and Dallas and Trent Tague; and great-grandchildren, Mariah and Mallory Burleson, and Addison Fincher.
Memorial services were held Monday, December 2, 2019, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South.

Mrs. Johnnie Mae White, age 92 of Flomaton, AL, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at her home.
Mrs. White was a long time member of the Flomaton community coming from Pineview, where she was employed as secretary with White’s Pallets. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Vision Church in Flomaton, AL. She was preceded in death by her son, Bennie White, Jr., and her husband, Bennie White, Sr.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Godwin of Brewton, AL; sisters, Delray Dewberry of Brewton, AL, Juanita Parker of Brewton, AL, Delores Bagget of Cantonment, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ricky) Hart of Flomaton, AL, Craig (Amy) White of Flomaton, AL; daughter-in-law, Linda White of Flomaton, AL; great-grandchildren, Savannah (Brett) Gafford, Garrett (Alyssa) Hart, Noah White, Nathan White, Sawyer Hart, Zoe White.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Hart and Bishop Leon Stewart officiating.
Interment was in Flomaton Cemetery in Flomaton, AL.
Pallbearers were Garrett Hart, Noah White, Nathan White, Buck Smith, Wayne Lisenby, Dave Brantley.
Honorary pallbearers were David Baggett, Robert Holt, Toby Boutwell, Miller Stallworth.

Walter Thomas Ard, Sr.

Walter, age 83, was born on June 23, 1936, in Cantonment, Florida and passed away on November 26, 2019, in Cantonment, Florida. Walter loved fishing with a passion but his world revolved around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always willing to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna F. Ard and son, Walter T. Ard, Jr.
Walter leaves behind his daughter, Brenda Ard; son, Benny F. Ard; grandsons, Eric Ard, Jeffery Ard and Scott (Angel) Griffis; granddaughters, Heather Griffis and Mary Ard; great-grandchildren, Tyler Jensen, Kodi Griffis and Ryler Ard; sisters, Dollie Byrd and Jannie Ard; and his brothers, Benny Ard and Edward Ard are also left to cherish his memory.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Burial was in Cottage Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mandie Kelley Lowery, age 35, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Lowery was a native of Milton, FL, former resident of Jay, FL and had resided in Bratt, FL for the past 10 years. She was a 2003 graduate of Jay High School; she was a member of the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God where she was active in the Women’s Ministries. She served in a nursing home ministry with the gospel group, Sandra and Friends. She is preceded in death by her PaPa, Joseph Lebron Taylor; her nanny, Laura Helen Taylor; uncle, James Earl Taylor and aunt, Sherry Taylor.
She is survived by parents, Van and Sandra Carroll of Jay, FL; husband of 10 years, Craig Lowery of Bratt, FL; one son, Colton Lowery of Bratt, FL; two daughters, Adalynn Lowery and Madalynn Lowery, both of Bratt, FL; two sisters, Raven Kelley (Josh) Greenwell of Molino, FL and Stephanie Carroll (Ryan) Weeks of Jay, FL; nephew, Michael Greenwell and niece, Breanna Greenwell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Jay Cornerstone Church with Bro. Tim Floyd officiating.
Burial will follow at the Godwin Cemetery.

Mr. Donnell “Don” Rounsaville, age 82, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019, in Atmore, Alabama.
Mr. Rounsaville was a native of Laurel, MS, former resident of Alaska and had resided in Atmore, AL for the past 33 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore, the Gideons, and a contributor to the Young Life Organization. He is preceded in death by his step-son, Lee Coker; son, John David Rounsaville and daughter-in-law, Dori Rounsaville.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Rounsaville of Atmore, AL; three sons, Steven (Darlene) Rounsaville of Kodiak, AK, Clayton (Holly) Rounsaville of Grants Pass, OR and Robert Rounsaville of Lockport, IL; one step-son, Charles (Mishalene) Coker of Shalimar, FL; one daughter, Kathy (Orbi) Gonzales of Glendale, AZ; one sister, Barbara Helton of Atmore, AL; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Rickey Tedder officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Robin Carnley
November 30, 2019
Robin Carnley, 67, passed away on the morning of November 23, 2019. Her loving husband Cecil Wayne Carnley and family members by her side. Robin was born April 2, 1952, in Worcester, Massachusetts to William Pransky and Evelyn Berglund.
Robin found joy in many things; studying the bible, sewing, and cooking for her family. She enjoyed being a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a great-grandmother. Robin met her husband while both of them resided in Okeechobee, Florida. Robin and Cecil officially married May 15, 2015. Robin was introduced to Cecil by a family member. It was love at first sight for Robin and Cecil. Both never leaving each other’s side from that day forward.
Four years ago, Robin and Cecil moved to Pensacola to be closer to family members. Within months both would experience a sudden head on collision that seriously injured them. It took several months and hard work for them to recover. Robin would tell you today they both survived by the grace of God, their deep love for each other, and the love that was poured out by family members and friends.
Throughout her life she was known as kind, thoughtful, and selfless. She had brought joy to all those who came to know her. Although she has departed from this life, she continues to live on in the hearts of those who hold her dearest. She will forever be missed and never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband Cecil Wayne Carnley of 13 years. Her children Robert Pransky and Michael Carnley, Marissa Green, Debbie Hedgepeth, Christine Carnley, Kayla Stone (Jason Stone). Her three sisters Merilee Berglund, Judith Tiffany, and Donna Clough. Two brothers Billy Pransky and Rick Berglund. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Robin would also want us to mention two gentlemen names she called her honorary son’s, Johnny Ray Heathcock and Kenneth Jones.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday December 2. 2019 at East Side Assembly of God Church at 2990 East Kingsfield Road.
Mary Frances Smith

Mary Frances Smith, 77, of Atmore, AL, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019, at her residence. She drove truck and worked at Buster’s Restuarant for many years. She also owned Ramblin Rose. She was born in Georgianna, AL on November 25, 1941, to the late Arthur and Inez Johnson Stokes.
She is preceded by her parents; two daughters, Kathy Harrison, and Angela Stoll; and brother, Mack Stokes.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Aubrey Smith of Atmore; one son, Aubrey “Sonny Man” (Faye) Smith of Turnerville, AL; five daughters, Janet Hayes of St. Stephens, AL, Judith (Rusty) Zeller of Picaynne, MS, Jackie (Larry) Kiper of Saraland, AL, Jeannie (Wayne) Crabbtree of Semmes, AL, and Kimberly Turner of Mt. Vernon, AL; step-daughters, Vicky (Don) Williams of McCullough, AL, Lisa (Ricky) Ward of Excel, AL, and Michelle (Claude) Turberville of Saraland, AL; one brother, Lester (Naomi) Stokes of Crenshaw County, AL; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, November 22, 2019, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Glenn Barnhill officiating.
Graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland, AL.

William Cook

William “Eddie” Edward Cook of Davisville, FL. passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 in Pensacola, FL. He was born in Chumukla, FL. on March 26, 1937 to the late Roy W. and Edith Marie Carnley Cook. He served in the United States Army. He was a retired Senior Mechanic with Exxon Mobil and had work for the City of Atmore with the Beautification Department. He was a member of the Walnut Hill & Century Masonic Lodge. He also was a 32nd degree mason and Past Grand Patron of the Order of The Eastern Star of Florida which was an elected position. He began playing fiddle when he was 8 years old and became a well-known musician during his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Leon Cook and Clarence Ray Cook.
He is survived by his wife Laura Green Cook of Davisville, FL. Two sons Chadwick W. (Tonya Black) Cook of Nokomis, FL. and Brady E. (Kay) Cook of Daphne, AL. One brother Winston Cook of Pace, FL; two sisters Voncile Grant of Pace, FL. and Marie (Otis) Joiner of Milton, FL. 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Burkland, Randon Watson, Cordair Cook, Travis Ashcraft, John Wesley Cook and Scottie Cook.
