Johnnie Ruth Thomley Creighton

Johnnie Ruth Thomley Creighton of Pensacola, FL born June 25, 1943 went to rest in the arms of her Lord on August 1, 2021.

Johnnie loved the Lord and her family more than life. They were her World! She enjoyed family gatherings at her home where she made sure you had plenty to eat, and if you left hungry, well that was your fault. She was so full of love that she shined. Always had a smile and open arms to welcome you in. Johnnie will be truly missed for she was loved by so many. This is not goodbye, but a “see you in a little while”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Evelyn Thomley; husband, Elton Creighton, Brother I.J. Thomley; and son, Donnell Patterson.

Johnnie is survived by her sons, Dwayne (Cynthia) Patterson and Sebastian Patterson; brother, J.W. (Mary) Thomley; sister, Betty Ruth Enfinger; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
The family would like to thank Baptist Hospital SINU and Comfort Care for the love and help they provided for Johnnie.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at New Beginnings Church of God, Molino Road, Molino, FL with Pastors Robbie Kolb and Alvin Kolb officiating. Johnnie will be laid to rest at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1PM prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Patterson, Sebastian Patterson, Tommy Carter, Bo Bibby, and Roger Gill.

Frankie Dale Scott

August 2, 2021

Frankie Dale Scott passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his home in Century, Florida. He was the son of the late James G. Scott and Bernice Scott Daughtery. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Suzette Scott. His children Matthew Livingston of Century, Brandy Godwin (Josh) of Brewton and Jennifer Strength (Nick) of Navarre. The mother of his heart Florence Mosley Cofield. Step-Father Ed Daughtery (Irene). His brother Buddy Scott and Sister Ellen Scott Hawsey, along with his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

One of his greatest joy’s in life was his grandchildren; Chayton Livingston, Bailey and Callie Godwin, and Avery Strength. Dale was extremely proud of them. His next joy was fishing as much as possible with his son.

Dale worked at Campbell’s Sand and Gravel for 41 years. They became his second family. We would like to thank them and all our family and friends for their support and kindness during his illness.

His ashes will be spread along the Escambia River, one of the places he loved most. Family will provide information as to the date and time later on Facebook.

Glenda Wilson Harris

Glenda Wilson Harris
December 11, 1938 – July 23, 2021

Glenda Harris walks with God forever. She was born in Georgiana, Alabama, to Nina and Lewie Wilson. Siblings were Dr. Carl Willis Wilson, Pete-Calvin Morris Wilson (Ann), Gloria Wilson Holcombe (Don), and Ricky-Richard Alton Wilson (Cindy).

She graduated from Andalusia High School in 1957, married, and was mother to 4 children. Her children are Dr. James Daniel Cartwright (Rosario), Emma Renee Carrtwright Meyer(John), Lewie Benjamin Cartwright(Cherie), and Judy Harris Lancaster (Gary).

Glenda received her RN degree in 1978 and began at Sacred Heart Hospital where she worked for 29 years, many of those years in Labor and Delivery. She retired in 2001.

For a short time, she owned an antique shop on 9th Avenue. She then cared for her mother, Nina Wilson, for about 4 years In Evergreen, Al.

She was grandmother to Holly Cartwright Egan, Jeremiah Cartwright; Robert Johnson; Jessica Cartwright Long; Stacey Maucher, Nathan Maucher, and Russell Maucher. She leaves 16 great-grand children, and 1 great, great daughter.

Thomas Charles Teachey

Thomas Charles Teachey, 45, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on Sunday July 26, 2021. He was born on October 15, 1975 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Thomas graduated J.M. Tate High School in 1994. He played football all 4 years. He was a member of Tate’s FFA, and loved to drive John Deere tractors. Thomas was baptized at Hillcrest Baptist Church in 1990. He enjoyed boating, fishing, Alabama Football, ATV’s, swimming and grilling. He is survived by his parents Dusty and Becky Teachey of Cantonment, Florida, 2 nephews: Cameron and Caleb Teachey and his niece Caitlin Teachey. Thomas is also survived by several Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Thomas is preceded in death by his brother Tobey Teachey. Pallbearers are Cameron and Caleb Teachey, Michael Judy, Danny Bishop, Brandon Davis, and D.J. Tripp.

Family has entrusted Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with services. Visitation is Friday July 30, 2021 from 5-7pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 W. Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, Florida 32534, with services being held Saturday July 31, 2021 at 12pm. The Internment will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.

Edward Farrar Barnett, Sr.

Edward Farrar Barnett, Sr., age 73, passed away on July 27, 2021 in Pensacola, FL. He was
born on May 8, 1948 in Atmore, AL to the late Elbert “Ned” and Ethel Prestwood Barnett.
He was a graduate of The University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science
in Commerce and Business Administration. He was Vice President and General Office
Manager of Barnett Construction, Inc. He retired and enjoyed spending time with family
and especially enjoyed fishing with friends and family. His greatest enjoyment was
spending time with his grandchildren.
He loved the Lord and he shared that love with all that he knew and came in contact with
both in word and deed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Preston Barnett, Glenn Barnett and
nephew, Miles Bridgman.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Gwen Owens Barnett; his son, Edward Farrar
Barnett, Jr. of Atmore, AL; his daughter, Leigh (John Murray) Ikner of Huxford, AL; his
brother, Jimmy (Kathy) Barnett of Uriah, AL; his sisters, Beverly (Johnny) Sanslow of
Bristol, VA and Sally (Bill) Bridgman of Atmore, AL and five grandchildren, Morgan,
Cowen, Sophia, Emeri and Mattox as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby
Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cornelius Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at
Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, AL.
Active pallbearers will be Jameson Kelley, Randall Barnett, Jason Barnett, Jon Owens,
Randall Owens, Jamie Owens, Cowen Ingram and John Murray Ikner.

Donald “Don” Ray Stuckey

Donald “Don” Ray Stuckey resident of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the age of 66. He worked for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department and retired in 2013. He had a great love for his family, hunting and attending church. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Stuckey and his brother, John Marvin Stuckey.

He is survived by his mother, Sybil Stuckey; sons, Donnie Stuckey and Jonathan Stuckey; grandchildren, Connor, Cole, Alexa and Kaylie; brothers, Michael Wayne and Joe Villeneuve.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Cooley and Pastor Mike Mashburn officiating. Burial will follow at Clopton Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM prior to services.

Robert “Bob” Rueb

Robert “Bob” Rueb passed away July 23, 2021, in Pensacola, FL.  He was born January 6, 1933, in New York, and spent his childhood in Orange, New Jersey.  He joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and spent most of his Air Force career as a member of The Air Force Band of the West, playing the saxophone for 21 years.  He had the distinction of playing for President Kennedy. Bob had a 37 year career with the Postal Service.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Helen O’Donnell Rueb; father, Henry Ferdinand Rueb and wife, Faye L. Rueb.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Laura Rueb Paige; son, Robert D. Rueb; son, Randall D. Rueb; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 2, 2021, at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, at 12:00 PM. Reverend Father George Thekku will be Celebrant. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, FL.

Pallbearers will be Dan Paige, Robert Rueb, Randall Rueb, Don Shepherd, Luke Gandy and Claudio Moreira.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Pooser, Mark Ard and Stony Brock.

Rev. Raymond Lavon Wiggins

Rev. Raymond Lavon Wiggins, age 84 of Raines Road in Century, Florida, passed away Wednesday morning July 28, 2021 in a Pensacola, Florida health care facility. Rev. Wiggins was a native of Bratt, Florida and life long native of the Century, Florida area. He retired from Alger Sullivan Lumber Company as a machine operator with 30 years of service. Rev. Wiggins was a faithful Holiness Preacher and had previously preached at New Haven Holiness Church, Friendly Holiness Church, Magnolia Springs Holiness Church, McGougin Chapel Holiness Church and Happy Valley Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 1/2 years, Joann Atchley Wiggins of Century; brother, Buford (Sharon) Wiggins of Davisville, FL; two sisters, Dianne (Clarence) Rolin of Canoe, Myrtle (Jim) Staff of Atmore; a number of Nieces, Nephews, family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Iva Dell Wiggins; Brothers, Bill Wiggins, JC Wiggins, Bernie Wiggins, Jerry Wiggins, Sylvester Wiggins, Ronnie Wiggins, Jimmy Wiggins; and sister, Dorothy “Sis” Lloyd.

Funeral services for Rev. Raymond Lavon Wiggins are scheduled for Friday morning July 30, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Brother Nathan Johnson and Brother Tommy Lee Johnson officiating. Private family graveside will follow at Godwin Cemetery with CRAVER’S FUNERAL HOME OF BREWTON DIRECTING.

Visitation will be held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Wilbern Lee Tyree, Jr.

Mr. Wilbern Lee Tyree Jr. age 82, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, in Century, FL.

Mr. Tyree lived in Century most of his life. He was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church. He was a founding member and first Chief of South Flomaton Fire Department. He worked with his dad at Tyree Garage and Wrecker Service. He was employed with Jim Walter and Crawford Doors and was employed for 22 years with the Town of Century.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbern Lee Tyree Sr. and Clara Tyree; one brother, Stewart Wayne Tyree; and one sister, Voncille Tyree Cannon.

Mr. Tyree is survived by his wonderful wife of sixty-four and a half years, Mrs. Voncile Tyree of Century, FL; one son, Steven Lee Tyree (Barbara) of Flomaton, AL; one sister, Dorie Lea Hammond (Larry) of Century, FL; four grandchildren, Michael Tyree, Jennifer Gomez, Martin Tyree and Stephanie Taylor, six great-grandchildren, special friend numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Rev. Robert Barrow officiating.

Burial will follow at McCurdy Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Terry Grogan, III

July 27, 2021

On Friday, July 23, 2021, at the age of 65, Terry “Frank” Grogan III went to his eternal resting place in his home from natural causes. For the past decade, Frank courageously fought a rare, progressive, and debilitating disease. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a Christian. He will be greatly missed.

Frank is survived by his wife of 22 years, Anita Grogan; son, Spencer Grogan (Alison Grogan) of The Woodlands, TX; stepson, Gregg Wilson (Jann Kleeman) of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren; and sister Jennifer Nott.

He was preceded in death by parents, Terry and Betty Grogan; brother, Spencer Grogan; sister, Cindy Glaze; and stepdaughter, Lori Lyn Wilson.

Frank was born on June 29, 1956, in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from J.M. Tate High School in 1975 and earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Pensacola Junior College. He worked in many trades throughout his career including, 22 years at Flour, a reserve deputy with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, a corrections officer with the Florida Department of Corrections, a business owner, and a variety of others.
He loved to spend time with family and friends. He found great joy in teaching children and young people about the outdoors and working with your hands. Frank loved the outdoors and spent most of his free time outside even as the disease progressed. His most beloved hobbies were hunting, fishing, and working in his shop.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a celebration of life is scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Frank’s charity of choice – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
