Pauline Cooper McKinley Gandy

Pauline “Polly” Cooper McKinley Gandy, 88, of Gandyville, FL. passed away July 12, 2025 in Pensacola, FL. She was born to the late Howard and Cora Mae Barnett Cooper on May 18, 1937, in Canoe, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Diane Salter, son Troy Gandy, brother Claude (Nell) Cooper, and her grandson Caleb King.
She was a longtime member of Poplar Dale Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring person and was loved by many.
She is survived by her husband Carl Gandy of Gandyville, FL. Her children Jan (Robert) Whitton of Foley, AL; Rick (Suzi) McKinley of Dallas, TX; Rhonda Wright of Century, FL; Robert (Yvette) Gandy of Berrydale, FL and Katie and Roger Burkett of Byrneville, FL; and her sister Bonnie (Sonny) Davis of York, S.C. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Cooper McKinley Gandy will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11 AM at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Bro. Mitch Herring and Bro. Robert Gandy officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Patrick Salter, Jeremy Grimes, Javis Grimes, Jared Gandy, Phillip Gandy, Mark McKinley, Cody McKinley and Brett Spears.
Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Fuzer, Gene Findley, Will Williams and Kenny Salter.
Visitation for Mrs. Polly will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Michael Glen Williamson

On July 3, 2025 Michael Glen Williamson took his last breath on Earth, surrounded by family, he peacefully left the pain of this world behind and entered the light of heaven. He was 51 years old when he was completely healed after his extended battle of illness that he fought long and hard, with family and friends by his side.
Mike was born in Pensacola, Florida. He spent the last 20+ years of his life employed by Panhandle Grading and Paving in addition to being the crew chief for multiple race teams. He was the owner of Mike Williamson Race Cars (MWRC), and co-owner of Club 151 Race Cars. He was hard-working and known for sharing his knowledge with those around him. He was an artist, innovator, and a pioneer in the racing world. His work ethic was unmatched.
Known for his authenticity and grit, he was equally known by those close to him for his quiet generosity and fierce love for his family. He was a proud father-his love for his son was immeasurable, cherishing Gage with all his heart. He also was a devoted stepfather, to Trenton and Bryant, loving them and embracing them as his own. From the sidelines of soccer fields to the front rows of dance recitals and karate tournaments, he was always there-supporting, cheering, and celebrating his nieces and nephews with unwavering love. His sense of family extended beyond traditional boundaries.
In addition to his loving legacy he leaves behind to his family and friends, he also left a significant impact on the racing world. Mike’s love and knowledge of dirt and asphalt racing was widely appreciated. He was a crew member in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Also, as a crew chief, he led many drivers to multiple championships and prestigious wins on asphalt and dirt, including the Snowball Derby in several divisions, Baby Rattler, Southern Street Stock Nationals, The Fall Classic, and The Clash at the Mag. It cannot go unmentioned that Mike was a talented driver himself. While the latter of his career was focused on investing in the next generation of racing, his knowledge was built from experience. Mike was a fierce competitor and a force to be reckoned with behind the wheel on any surface. He was driven, fearless, and battle-tested.
Mike will be missed by many. The love and devotion to family and friends he leaves behind will be his lasting legacy. If you were a friend to Mike, you were family. Mike knew how to show up and put words into action. He was genuine and dependable and we can move forward blessed and better to have known him.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Roger P. Williamson, Sr. and Jewel “Judy” Hildebrand Williamson.
Mike is survived by his wife, Stephanie Norton Williamson; his son, Gage Williamson; his stepsons, Trenton and Bryant Norton,Father and Mother-in-laws, Rex Sutton, Nancy and Buddy Connelly, Donald and Brenda Long; his former wife and mother of his son, Holly Long; Granny,Betty Long, Brother and Sister-in-laws, Gary and Valerie Sutton, Johanna and Hunter Robbins, Haley and Josh Hamner, Tony Bowes; his sister Terri Bowes; Nieces and Nephews, Darren, Emery and Miller Sutton, Rory and Rhett Robbins, Sadie and Hayes Hamner, Jen and Dan Bowes. Alongside his relatives, he leaves behind dear friends who shared in his life like brothers and sisters.
A special thank you to Donald and Brenda Long, whose steadfast love and support meant so much throughout Mike’s journey and passing. Their generosity and care will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Pensacola memorial Gardens Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 am. Memorial service to immediately follow at 10:00 am. The procession will take you to Five Flags Speedway for Mike’s final “green, white, checkered” laps. A private burial for family will follow. The family has invited everyone for food and fellowship at Long Acres following Mike’s final victory lap.
Gregory Franklin Boatwright

Mr. Gregory Franklin Boatwright, age 64, departed this life on July 8, 2025, in Atmore, AL. He spent the majority of his life in Canoe, AL; where he dedicated many years to the building homes.
In his leisure time, he found joy in fishing and cruising around in his truck. A devoted fan, he delighted in watching Alabama football games and classic western films. Additionally, he had a passion for car repairs and loved to tinker with small engines and boat motors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland F. (Lillie Mae Harrelson) Boatwright, and his wife, Teresa Boatwright.
He is survived by his two sons, Steven (Nancy) Flowers, of Mexia, AL; Christopher Boatwright (Courtney Bryant) of Atmore, AL; one sister, Lechia Perry of, Atmore, AL; nine grandchildren, Beka Carpenter, Stephanie Flowers, Dawson Flowers, Joshua Boatwright, Olivia Boatwright, Karissa Boatwright, Abagail Boatwright, A J Patterson, Gunner Bryant, two great-grandchildren, Aspen Johnson and Riley Williams.
Graveside and burial service will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bowman Cemetery with Brother Malcolm Harrelson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Harrelson, Rickey Harrelson, Scott Griffis, Stoney Mason, Squanto Joiner, and Alex Williams.

Donald Roy Beans

Donald Roy Beans, 89, of Atmore, AL, passed away peacefully July 6, 2025, in Atmore, AL. Donald was born August 25, 1935, to Lester Grant Beans and Hannah Mary Smith in New Castle, WY. Donald attended the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science where he obtained a degree as a Certified Register Nurse Anesthetist. He later retired from Atmore Community Hospital as a CRNA. Donald was an active member of the University Parkway Seventh-day Adventist church in Pensacola, FL. Donald loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed greatly by them.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; Edith Beans, and his sister; Ruth Leach.
Donald is survived by his children; Connie (Tim) Mercer of Bristol, TN, Cathy (Clark) MCcrain of Firestone, Co, Kevin (Linda) Beans of Hopkinsville, KY, Troy Beans of Atmore, AL, and Jodi (Jim) Burrill of Apoka, FL, Eleven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service for Mr. Beans will be held August 2, 2025 at 4:30 PM at University Parkway SDA Church. 8751 University Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32514.

Donna Jo McDaniel, 65, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She was born in Columbia, Missouri, on November 6, 1959 to Ben and Arbell Chew. Donna was married to Robin McDaniel for 38 years. She worked as an Insurance Examiner for Vivian Crumwell. Donna was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church for six years and Christian Fellowship Baptist Church for 15 years, as the secretary and Sunday School teacher. Donna enjoyed baking, crafts, going to the beach, and family time was very important to her.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Ben L. Chew; mother, Arbell Chew; son, James Randall Evans; father-in-law, Dave McDaniel Sr., and brother, Ben L. Chew, Jr.
Donna is survived by her husband, Robin McDaniel; son, Kevin Evans; son, Tylon McDaniel; granddaughter, Anaiah Rae Olhrogge-Evans; sister, Debra (Jerry) Furman; sister, Tammy (Bill) Portner, sister, Tresa (Jimmy) McCaskill, sister-in-law Amy (Marcus) Chew Brewer, sister-in-law Carol (Herman) Black, brother-in-law Donnie (Twana) McDaniel, brother-in-law Dave McDaniel Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be at Faith Chapel North located at 1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL 32533 July 17, 2025 from 3-5pm.

James (Jim) William Leath

James (Jim) William Leath, of Pensacola, passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2025. Jim was born on Oct 6th 1937 in Chattahoochee, Florida. He was the son of Alice Laverne Merchant “nee” Gilbert and Alex Merchant.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Susan Bear Leath and survived by his son, Eric Leath, daughter Nikki Leath Faktor (Roy), and Bobbi Kitty.
He was always ready to help anyone, and loved nature, the mountains and children. He had a long, exciting career as a police officer with Pensacola Police Department and retired as a well adored sergeant after serving in the Marines and a few other odd and exciting jobs.
We would like to thank Dad’s wonderful caretakers that were his heart for the last couple of years. DJ, with hospice, Tammy, Sinciera, and Angie. You all were the bright light in the last few years and made life so much better.
A celebration-of-life will be held at the Pensacola Yacht Club on Saturday, July 19th at noon. All friends and family are welcome, attire will be casual. We request that contributions to your favorite charity be sent in lieu of flowers.

Brenton Dale Kelley

Brenton Dale Kelley was born on September 16, 1963 to Clyde “Buck” and Glenda Kelley, and passed away on July 4, 2025. He is preceded in death by his Father, Buck Kelley, and brother, Timothy “Moe” Kelley. He is survived by his Mother, Glenda Kelley; son Daniel (Nikki) Kelley; daughter Jill (Jeffery) Steadham; grandchildren Liam, Clara Ann, and Logan; sisters Beverly (Mike) Digmon and Ellen (Darryl) Sims; and many nieces and nephews.
Brenton was a lifelong resident of Bogia. He will always be remembered for his lively spirit and his love for the outdoors. He could usually be found in the woods or on the water. He was a superior hunter and fisherman, making his nickname “Hook” most fitting. He also excelled in many sports, and was known for being a star athlete in baseball and football. He also spent time later in life coaching football and baseball, a role in which he was very loved.
He leaves behind a trail of memories for his loved ones, most of which are remembered with a smile, thinking of the fun adventures which were had over the years.
A memorial service will be held at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, July 19, at 10 a.m.. Family and friends are all welcome to attend.
Orbin Albritton

Orbin Albritton was a Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend. He served the state for 25 years as a corrections officer in Century, Florida. He grew up on his parent’s farm in Molino, FL, taking care of livestock, mending fences, and growing crops. He had his first car and job when he was 13 years old working for a farmer down the road picking produce in the fields for a few dollars an hour. He graduated from Tate High School in 1992. Out of high school, he started laying carpet and tile. Then, with his certificate in welding, he received a job with Better Built. In 1999, he started working as a corrections officer and worked there until he retired in 2024 as a Sergeant. He enjoyed the people he worked with and spoke highly of them.
Orbin’s witty personality and humor was always there. You would be hard pressed to find a person he had met or talked to that he didn’t make laugh at least once. No one knows this better than his friends and family. Some of his favorite times were cooking with his mother, Linda Albritton, taking his children to the fair, Blue Angels show, the river, the rodeo, or any place or event that he knew they would have a good time. He was the proudest of his children, Wyatt and Erin Albritton, and the people he raised them to be. His joy later in life came from his Granddaughter, Scarlett Albritton, and spending time with her every chance he could.
After Orbin’s parents had passed, he found new family and love with the Sweetings. He enjoyed every second and minute with his love, Nichole Sweeting. Nichole and Orbin would travel, go to concerts, and enjoy time together. Orbin thought of her son, Brody Ragsdale, as his own and was proud to watch him turn into a fine young man. Orbin and Brody shared a love of football and bonded over sports. Nichole’s parents, Charlie and Joyce Sweeting, loved Orbin like a son. Many holidays were spent together at their house enjoying food and football.
Orbin was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Linda Albritton. Orbin is survived by his children and daughter-in-law, Wyatt (Sara) Albritton and Erin Albritton; his granddaughter, Scarlett Albritton; siblings, Rhonda (Sean) Fillingim, Sandra (Dick) Whiteside, Michael (Laura) Albritton, and Steve (Susan) Albritton; and nieces, Destiny and Shawna Fillingim.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory North. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Albritton, Wyatt Albritton, Matt Ramsey, Jason Sims, Brody Ragsdale, and Nolan Lorenzana.
William “Mack” DuBose

William “Mack” DuBose, a man known for his life lessons and tireless devotion to his family, was born on August 22,1966. On July 1, 2025, Mack passed peacefully in his home in Cantonment, Florida. He was the son of William and Eleanor DuBose, born in Andalusia Alabama.
Mack was married to the love of his life, Veronica “Michelle” DuBose, for 36 ½ years. Together they had three beautiful children and nine adored grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest, loving his family with every breath he took.
Mack devoted his life to providing for his family each and every day. He had an infectious laugh and was a man of integrity, who believed in doing the right thing even when no one was watching. Mack enjoyed taking the people he loved most on lavish vacations, days on the boat with his family, and Alabama football. You could often times find Mack dancing the night away at the American Legion, watching his grandkids play sports, or spending long days in his garden.
Mack learned the value of hard work and dedication from his own parents. These values led him down a long road in the electrical field which eventually led him to become the Senior Vice President of Burkes Electrical. He was a humble man who loved his work family dearly. He believed that no matter what your position was, you were to always be treated with respect.
Whether it was being a father figure to many or lending a helping hand, Mack’s presence made life feel grounded. To his wife, Mack was her rock, her protector, and her always and forever. To his children, he was Superman, their
confidant, and the magic behind Christmas morning. To his grandchildren, he was a story-teller, their champion, and their biggest supporter. To his siblings, he was a devoted brother, a shoulder to lean on, and their forever friend.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eleanor DuBose; and his granny, Clara Evelyn McGhee.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Veronica “Michelle” DuBose; his three children, Chasitie (Ajay) Martin, Jordan (Hunter) Tisdale, and Caul (Lindsay) DuBose; grandchildren, Garrett Thomas, Kimree Alexa, Eleanor Capri, Elvis Beau, John (Tripp) Anthony, Evelyn Frances, William Cash, Mack Ace, and Eloise Carter; siblings, Rebecca (Aaron) Turner and Lisa (Mike) Barnes; aunt, Sarah McGhee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved very much.
