Reimagine Flomaton Planning Begins

The organizational volunteer meeting for Reimagine Flomaton was held Thursday night at the Flomaton Fire Department.
Reimagine Flomaton will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016. Reimagine has held similar events in Century, Brownsville, Warrrington, Thomaston, GA, Santa Rosa County and Peru. Events have included clothing giveaways, free haircuts, free food, free health checks and displays from community organizations.
The next meeting for the group will be Thursday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting location will be announced at a later date on NorthEscambia.com. For more information, contact Linda at (850) 454-5280.

Fields Of Faith: Community Worship Service Held

The Northview High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) sponsored a student led worship event “Fields of Faith” Wednesday night in the Tommy Weaver Memorial Stadium.
The service included music, student testimonies and a message from guest speaker Jody Levins, a youth leader at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church in Bogia.

Local High School Bands Shine At Marching Performance Assessments

District 1 High School Marching MPA performances were held Saturday at Tate High School.
Several bands, including the Royal Pride Band from Jay High and the Showband of the South from Tate, earned straight superiors.

Camp Fire Kids Hold Trike-A-Thon For Children’s Hospital

The children at Camp Fire USA Century Youth Learning Center recently held their seventh annual Trike-A-Thon in support of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital last week. The children not only raised money for St. Jude; they also learned about trike safety and the importance of helping others.

Cantonment Comes Home For Homecoming Fall Festival

Cantonment residents took part in a Homecoming Fall Festival Saturday at Carver Park. The event brought families together with food, family fun, kid’s games and entertainment, plus information tables from community partners. The event was organized by the Cantonment Improvement Committee.

Local Fire Stations Participate In Fire Safety Outreach Events

Two North Escambia fire stations took part in Fire Safety Week events Saturday morning.
The Cantonment Station of Escambia Fire Rescue took part in a Fire Safety Awareness Day Saturday the Cantonment Waterfront Rescue Mission Bargain Center (pictured left and below).
And members of the Molino Station of Escambia Fire Rescue took part in a fire safety display at the Molino Community Center (pictured top).

Pumpkins Arrive At Popular Church Pumpkin Patch

Hundreds of pumpkins arrived Saturday afternoon and were unloaded by volunteers ata St. Luke United Methodist Church on Nine Mile Road. The church’s annual pumpkin patch, at 1394 East Nine Mile Road, will be open Monday-Saturday from 1-7 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Homecoming Fall Festival Saturday In Cantonment

The Cantonment Improvement Committee will present the Cantonment Homecoming Fall Festival this Saturday, October 10.
The 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. event at Carver Park on Webb Street will feature food, family fun and games for the kids. There will also be musical groups, a ballroom dancing demo and much more.
