Mrs. Reaby Fore

Mrs. Reaby Fore, 101, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Fore was a native of Canoe, AL, and a resident of Wawbeek, AL, for most of her life. She was a former employee of Vanity Fair, operated Wawbeek Upholstery for many years and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Irvin Fore and two sons, Billy Fore and Phillip Roscoe Fore.
She is survived by a son, Vernon R. Fore of Wawbeek; a daughter, Joyce Watson of Atmore; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene officiating.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Natchez, AL.
Mary Julia Cox White

After a long battle with cancer, Mary Julia Cox White “Nano” went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the age of 68. She was born in Pensacola and resided in Century since 1975.
Julia was employed by Century Pharmacy as office manager and gift manager for over 25 years. She enjoyed decorating, dancing, and spending time with her family, especially at Pensacola Beach. She attended Perdido Methodist Church in Perdido, AL.
Julia was preceded in death by her mother and father, Evelyn and Clyatt Cox; her dear friend, Brother Lou Caballer; and sons-in-law, Charlie Booth and Jack Moran.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Lori Skaggs of Jay and Julie Booth-Moran of Century; one stepson, Russell White of Panama City; two sisters, Marlene Anthony of Century and Myra Reed of Cummins, GA. Nano was blessed with three grandchildren, Riley, Corey, and Danielle Skaggs; two great-grandchildren, Beverly and Logan Skaggs; adopted family members, Ivory Brown and his daughter, Ty McGee; many nieces and nephews; and her best girlfriend, Barbara Dorriety.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Byrneville United Methodist Church in Century.
Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was loved by many and Nano to all.
Eileen Evelyn Robinson

Eileen Evelyn Robinson, age 68 of Cantonment, went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 25, 2011. Mrs. Robinson was a member at Northview Baptist Church. Eileen was a retired bartender at the Red Baron and a member of the American Legion #340.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Mildred Norton; a grandson, Jason Grace; and two brothers, Bud and Howard Norton.
Eileen is survived by three daughters, Candyce Robinson, Sandi Thorsen (James), and Mandy Parker (James); two sons, Randy Robinson (Sheri) and Andy Robinson; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Donald Owen; an aunt, Beverly Barber; sisters-in-law Dot Norton and Kandy Tolbert; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Hwy 29, with Reverend Keith Mott officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, September 27, 2011, from 5 until 7 p.m.
William C. Marshall

William C. Marshall, 74 of Huxford, died Saturday, September 24, 2011, in Mobile.
He retired from Monsanto in 1993 and from Jefferson Davis Community College as an A/C instructor. He was born in Escambia County (Ala.) on January 1, 1937.
He is preceded in death by his parents S. Jack and Berline Driskell Marshall. Survivors are his wife, Shirley Dreadin Marshall; one son, Stan Marshall and wife Diane of Huxford; two daughters, Janice Carlton and husband Jim of Canoe, and Annise Bruley and husband Chris of Atmore; one brother, J.C. Marshall and wife Leitha of Canoe; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jesse Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Huxford Baptist Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Monday evening, September 26, 2011, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Theodore G. “Ted” White

Theodore G. “Ted” White, age 79, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011.
Ted retired from Monsanto after 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller, valuing that time of his life greatly. He was an avid golfer, being known to “shoot his age” quite frequently.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. and Edna Haynes Noel; sister, Jane Bouler.
Ted is survived by his four children, Noel Anthony (Abby) White of Texas, Toby White of Chumuckla, Wendy (Thomas) Watts of Atmore, and Tracy (Charles) Burgess of Jay; grandchildren, Jessica White, Kendall (Kat) White, Kendrick (Amber) White, Kelley Nunemaker, Christina (John) Brown all of Texas, Kevin (Melissa) Lovett of Pace, Colton White of Chumuckla, Jansen Burgess and Taylor Burgess of Jay; three great grandchildren; sister, Christina (Michael) Harrison; mother of his children, wife of over 20 years and continued loyal friend, Elsie White; his faithful companion, his dog “girlfriend” Susie-Q; and many nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.
He was very passionate about his family and loved his grandkids with all his heart. He instilled in us integrity, loyalty and most of all love. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel with Rev. Curtis Powell, officiating.

Georgia A. Wilson

Georgia A. Wilson , 40, of Atmore, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011. Georgia was born on May 5, 1971, in Pensacola, and she moved with her parents to Molino when she was 12-years old.
She graduated from Ernest Ward High School in 1989 and went on to become a medical assistant. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter, and BFF to many. Her granddaddy and grandmother Williams and Uncle John beat her to Heaven but are holding hands with her today.
The people left to carry on her memory are her daughter, Katelyn; mother and father, Betty and Stephen Williams; her fiancé, Scott Davis; great aunt June, aunt Lisa and many cousins.
Services for Georgia will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services beginning at 10:30 a.m.. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Our family would like to thank all the wonderful friends and family that have prayed for us and helped us through the most terrible time of our lives.

Mrs. Esther Olean Emmons, age 88 of Century, passed away at her home September 24, 2011. She was a lifetime member of the Century community and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Emmons was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Emmons; parents, Ethel and Leonard Glover; three children; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Emmons is survived by sons, Joey (Sandra) Emmons of Salisbury, NC, and Wayne (Linda) Emmons of Pensacola; daughters, Doris (Winston) Brown and Betty (Troy) Brown, both of McDavid, and Pat Harrison of Jay; brothers, Clark Glover of Jay and Troy Glover of Washington dtate; sister, Christine Morgan of Bratt, FL; 14 grandchilden; 38 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011. at the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 12:30 and will continue on until service time at 2 p.m. Officiating the service will be Bro. Harold Brown and Bro. Mike Johnson. Interment will follow in Byrneville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Byrneville.
Pallbearers will be Tony Brown, Steve Brown, Mike Brown, Shannon Emmons, Jamie Waters and Dale Townson.
George Wilson Saucer

George Wilson Saucer, age 86 of Pensacola, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2011. He was born in McCullough, AL on May 22, 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII at Bronson Field, Pensacola and retired from Pensacola NAS Rework Facility in 1983. He loved gardening, his daylilies and sports.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Saucer; mother and father, Oscar and Callie Bernice; brothers and sister, Rayford and Alvin Saucer, and Alma (Saucer) Slaughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Ann Pendleton (Ken) of Pensacola; son, George Stephen Saucer of Pompano Beach, FL; daughter, Ellen Kay Korecky (Rob) of Ft. Rucker, AL; two grandsons, Corey Kenneth Pendleton (Kayleigh) and Wilson Robert Korecky; sister-in-law, Wilda (Jimmie) Waller; and many dear nieces and nephews. .
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011, at the Faith Chapel Funeral Home at 100 Beverly Pkwy. in Pensacola. Interment will follow in Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery in Chumuckla.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Faith Chapel South on Monday.
The family would like to thank the fine staff and nurses at Covenant Hospice for their wonderful care.
Gail Fillingim

Gail Fillingim, age 95 of Enon, died Thursday September 22, 2011, in Pensacola.
She was a retired teacher, born in Nettleboro, AL, on July 23, 1916, to the late Joseph and Corrie Lambert Morris.
Mrs. Fillingim lived in Clark County, AL, until she was three years old, then moved with her family to Mobile. At age 15, her family moved to Bay Springs, FL, where they ran a community store.
After graduating from Ernest Ward High School in 1934, she attended Florida State College for Women (FSU) and the University of Florida. She returned to Escambia County and began her teaching career that spanned 40 years. She also taught part of that time in Liberty County, FL. She loved to teach and was proud to know that she was in some small way making a difference in children’s lives. She helped mentor and shape the futures of many of the area students, many of whom are now leaders in our community. She was a member of the Later Day Saints Church and was a Relief Society Teacher for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, R.T. “Tommie” Fillingim and two sisters, Mildred Morris and Hortense Huffmaster.
Mrs. Fillingim is survived by one daughter, Susan Purvis and husband, Gary of Atmore; two grandchildren, Gary Wayne Purvis and wife, Monica of Blountstown, FL, Sharon Delmar and husband, Mark of Atmore; three great-grandchildren, Nick Delmar, Brandon Purvis and Colton Purvis; special niece, Mitzi (James) Windham; special nephews, Don (Mary) Huffmaster, Eric Fillingim; and a host of cousins.
Services will be Sunday, September 25, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with Rev. Jim Reese and Bro. Lloyd Albritton officiating.. Interment will follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chester “Butch” Watson, Wendell Hall, Wayne “Sambo” Garrett, James Windham, Rodney Fillingim and Wayne Fillingim. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Belleu, Bernice Robbins, Yvonne Obren, Elaine Levan, Mary Lee Garrett, Phil Lucas, Ellen Settle and Dave Fillingim.
Family will receive friends Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until service time.

Kathy Watford Gaffney, 58 of Atmore died Thursday, September 22, 2011, in Pensacola. She was a bookkeeper with Poarch Band of Creek Indians. She was born in Atmore to the late Carl William and Audrey Sims Watford on June 20, 1953.
Survivors include her husband, James Gaffney, Sr.; one son, James M. Gaffney of Atmore; two daughters, Karie Sawyer of Atmore and Jeanifer Long of Mobile; two brothers, Billy Watford of Atmore and David Watford of Georgia and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with Rev. Mike Grindle and Rev. Don Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Huxford Community of Christ Church Cemetery.
