Nancy Janelle Hall, 79 of Oak Grove, died Friday March 9, 2012, in Atmore.
She was owner/operator of Hall’s Store, born in Escambia County on February 25, 1933, to the late Arthur and Lilla Pearl Terry Beasley.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Hoover “H.H.” Hall of Oak Grove; two sons, Jim C. Hall and wife, Kathy of Jackson, AL, Tim H. Hall of Seminole, AL; one daughter, Janet Womack and husband, David of Atmore; four grandchildren, Jace Hall and wife, Natasha, Lana Nelson and husband, Michael, Shelly Womack and Morgan Womack; and one great-grandchild, Ariana Hall.
Services will be Tuesday March 13, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Hall and Minister Michael Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Clark Hall, Glenn Hall, David Adams, John Solomon, Ryan Godwin and Brett Ward. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Nelson and Matt Robbins.
Family will receive friends, Tuesday March 13, 2012, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home one hour prior to service time.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Martha Dubose Cofield

Mrs. Martha Dubose Cofield, age 77, passed away at a local hospital on Friday March 9, 2012. She was a native and longtime resident of McDavid. Martha was a waitress at Mamie’s Restaurant for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband W.C. Dubose Jr.. parents Dewey and Elaine Stuckey. and sister Mary Branner.
She is survived by three sons, William Dubose (Jennifer) of Cantonment, Robert DuBose (Sandy) of Pace, Jimmy Dubose (Tonya) of Repton; daughter, Cathy Spears (Dennis) of McDavid; stepdaughter, Joy Garrett (Roger) of Lubbuck, TX.; brother, Joe Stuckey (Sue) of Walnut Hill; and sister, Faye Zangas (Larry) of Flomaton.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel with Rev. Jerry Keese officiating.
Visitation will be March 11, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Dubose, Brandon Dubose, Bobby Dubose, Steven Dubose, Jimmy Dubose Jr., Levi Dubose, Jason Spears and Joshua Spears.
Honorary pallbearers will be Denny Spears and Dillon Spears.
Major Billy R. Lee

Major Billy R. Lee, Florida Highway Patrol retired, age 67 of Lake City, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Suwannee Valley Care Center.
A native of Pineville, Billy was the son of the late Bill W. and Mattie Reid Lee, and was raised in Davisville. Billy retired as the Major of Troop B in Lake City from the Florida Highway Patrol after 37 years of service. He graduated from Troy State University and The University of Alabama with a masters degree in criminal justice. He coached Little League baseball, played Police Olympics basketball, softball, and table tennis, was a deacon at First Baptist Church, and was a member of the Gideons.
Billy was preceded in death by his sister and brother.
Major Lee is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Lee of Lake City; two sons, Jeff Lee (Jennifer) of Elba, AL, and Jason Lee of Yulee, FL; brother, Sam Lee of Atmore; five grandchildren, Jaxson Lee, J.D. Lee, and Jace Lee all of Elba, AL, and Andrew Lee and Matthew Lee of Yulee, FL; mother in law, Essie Coleman of Century; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Major Lee will be conducted at First Baptist Church in Lake City on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Corporal Mike Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 Saturday evening at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Lake City. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 182 NE Justice Street, Lake City, FL 32055.

Marjorie Nicholson Armour

Marjorie Nicholson Armour, 85, of Cantonment, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012.
Born in Niceville, she had resided in Pensacola and Cantonment for most of her life. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her strong family ties and her unwavering faith in Jehovah God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Sam; her two children Greg Armour (Judy) and Amy Calhoun (West); her grandchildren, Daila and Stijl Calhoun, Chris and Brian Odom and Brittney MacKenzie; great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Gonzalez Jehovah Witness’s Kingdom Hall at 399 E. Kingsfield Road, Cantonment. The Memorial Service will begin at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice in memory of Marjorie Armour.
Paul Edgar Mason, Jr.

Paul Edgar Mason, Jr., 76, of Alpharetta, GA, died Monday February 6, 2012, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore until he moved to Alpharetta with his wife and daughters in 2004.
He was owner of Sam’s Place with his father Ed for close to 50 years. During this time he also farmed soybeans, corn and wheat with his best friend Jimmy Mason. He also worked for the Escambia Grain elevator with his life-long friend Jim VanPelt.
He was born in Atmore on June 14, 1935, to the late Edgar and Lola Troutman Mason.
He retired with the Army National Guard and served during the Korean and Gulf Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce C. Mason of Alpharetta, GA; two Daughters, Shayne Mason Lee and Missy Mason Kindig, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Betty Ann Mason and Lanell Mason, both of Atmore; two grandchildren, Garrett Mason Lee and Colby Kyle Kindig, both of Atlanta.
Services will be Thursday February 9, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Atmore, with Rev. Leon Stewart and Rev. Jim Reece officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mason, Luther James, Wendall Eicher, Steve Drew, Butch Watson and Gary Welch. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Jackson, Jim VanPelt, George VanPelt, Ed Nolan and Wendall James.
Family will receive friends, Wednesday evening February 8, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church from 7 until 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Tommy Elbert Weaver, 61, passed away on March 7, 2012 at a local hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Gayle Weaver of Walnut Hill; son Thomas William (Toby) Weaver; daughter Nikki Smith (Randy) of Walnut Hill; brother Jimmy Weaver of Laurinburg, NC; and three grandchildren, Jami Andrews, Logan Lambeth and Katherine Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Roy Chewning officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Town Cemetery in Evergreen, AL.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Harry Burton Sellers (Buck)

Harry Burton Sellers (Buck), age 64, passed away at USA Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama on March 5, 2012.
A graduate of the class of 1966 of Escambia County High School in Atmore, Buck attended the University of South Alabama. He grew up farming with his grandfather, and later worked with the seismograph crew for Shell Oil Company in Louisiana for several years. Upon his return to Atmore, he came back to the farm, and then worked as a nursery manager in Semmes, AL. Buck worked with Escambia Farm Equipment Company, also known as the John Deere Place, for several years prior to his early retirement due to a severe injury.
Buck loved anything related to agriculture, fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing and Alabama football. One of his greatest joys came from sharing with others, whether it be milkshakes, biscuits or candy with the bank tellers or crew at the local drug store, or delivering green peanuts and sweet potatoes to various friends. He was a friend to all, and greeted everyone with a hug or handshake and a smile.
He is survived by his mother, Lenora S. Sellers; his wife of 44 years, Joyce P. Sellers; daughter, Vicki S. Gulsby (J.B.) of Uriah, Alabama; son, Leonard Ray Sellers (Leslie), of Birmingham; sister, Rebecca S. Phillips (Joe) of Atmore; and five grandchildren, Noel, Haley, and Heather Gulsby and Jackson Sellers.
Buck is preceded in death by his father, Emmette Ray Sellers, and grandparents Earl and Sallie Sellers and Jackson B. and Mary Elma Stallworth.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Johnson Quimby Funeral home in Atmore, Alabama on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The service will be conducted by Rev. Mike Grindle, with eulogy by Boyd Sigafoose. Pallbearers are Mike Helton, Rodney Helton, Charlie Stark, John McMurphy, Boyd Sigafoose, and Benny Respress. Honorary pallbearers are brothers-in-law Bill Phillips, Joe Phillips and Wayne Harrison; grandson Jackson Sellers; nephews Jarard Phillips, Jonathon Phillips, Chris Harrison, Travis Harrison, Michael Harrison, Sheldon Phillips, Chad Phillips and Brandon Phillips; and Bennie Watson, Ronnie Hughes, Julian Johnson, Luther West, Alvis Respress, Rickey Fore and Jerry Dykes.
Doris Rigdon Buck

Doris Rigdon Buck, age 84, passed away March 6, 2012, with her family at her bedside. Mrs. Buck was a native of Louisiana and moved to Cantonmentin 1979. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Cantonment, she was well-known for her sewing and baking skills in serving her church and community.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John L. Buck Jr.
Survived include her sons, John L. Buck III (Bonnie) and Thomas L. Buck (Sandra); brother, Vernon D. Rigdon (Marilyn); grandson, John Russell Buck (Lauren); step granddaughters, Tonya Duke (Dave), Deana Lepa (Jeff), Janice Gilley (Ron), Cynthia Perkins; four nephews; four nieces; five step great grandsons; and one step great granddaughter.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 7433 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Cantonment, 118 Morris Avenue. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Huff and Dr. Will Stone.
Pallbearers are Aaron Hodge, Ken Hicks, Ronnie Gilmore, Fred Raby, James May, and Dennis Carlson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Esther Sunday School Class.

Eudith Watts Killam, 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in her home in Flomaton.
Mrs. Killam was a native and resident of Flomaton for most of her life, a homemaker and attended the Sardis Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Park Augusta Killam and son Walter Augusta Killam.
She is survived by three sons, Harry Killam (Shirley Ann) of Flomaton,, Danny Killam (Diane) of Flomaton, and Steve Killam (Carol) of Atmore.
Funeral services will be Friday March 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene and Rev. James Pugh officiating
Burial will follow at the Poplar Dell Cemetery.
Visitation will be March 09, 2012 , prior to services from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Tony Holmes, age 50 of Pensacola has left us to go be with the Lord.
Tony was the owner of Puppy Shop since 1999 where he put happiness in peoples lives. He is survived by his mother and step dad, Rose and Richard Pugsley; father, Cecil Holmes; sisters, Debra (Billy) Parker and Donna (Don) Crump, Haley Holmes; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Scott Parker, Chris Parker, Donny Crump, Jeff Phelps, Jermery Fleming and Robbie Fairey.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with funeral services being on Friday, March 9, 2012m at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
