Donnie Faye Nobley

Mrs. Donnie Faye Nobley, age 70, of Brewton passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014, in a Pensacola hospital.
Mrs. Nobley was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She worked in the lunchroom at Flomaton High School. Mrs. Nobley was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Fred (Christi) Morris of Brewton; two brothers, Gilbert White of Pineview, AL, and Kenny White Houston of Texas; four sisters, Sylvia Hammonds of Pensacola, Brenda Dunn and Bonnie Oglesbee both of Pineview, and Wanda Brown of Bessemer, AL; and one grandson, William Morris of Brewton.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 1 p.m. until service time.
Martin Dubose “Tab” Turberville

Martin Dubose “Tab” Turberville, 96 of Atmore passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014, in Atmore. He was a retired farmer, born in Mineola, AL on December 7, 1917 to the late Daniel Arnold and Mattie Boone Turberville.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jones Turberville; sisters, Alva Lee Duncan and Danny Dean Rosetko; brothers, Floyd and Henry Turberville; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Rachel Turberville.
Survivors include his son, James A. Turberville of Atmore; brother, Calvin Coolidge Turberville of Atmore; and sister, Cleo Dean Gwatney of Fairhope.
Services will be Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Pruitt officiating.
Interment will follow in Mineola United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Agee, William Baggett, Claude Dean, Terry Roberts, Mark Rosetko, and Wayne Turberville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Baggett, Benny Biggs, John Day, Rufus Dickey, Otha Martin, Lester Peavy and Marvis Taylor.

Frances Kee Morgan

Frances Kee Morgan, 82, of Cantonment, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Morgan’s favorite hobby was reading. After she lost her eyesight she listened to audio books. She also loved to surf fish, especially with her husband. For many years she attended Aldersgate Methodist Church and Allen Memorial Methodist Church. She enjoyed eating at area restaurants.The joy of her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Morgan, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Nicholson (Donnie), Mona Ward and Janet Morgan; son, Clarence (Teet) Morgan III (Lesa); eight grandchilden, 15 great-grandchildren and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Reverend Rian Kegerreis officiating.
Interment will follow at Aldersgate Cemetery.

Olvie Chaney Beech

Olvie Chaney Beech 74, of Goodway, Ala., passed away at her residence after a long illness with Parkinson’s disease on February 3, 2014. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years William Mack Beech of Huxford; and her parents, Earnest F. and Corell Morris (Hall) Chaney. Mrs. Beech worked 15 years with Vanity Fair and then later became a homemaker. She loved flowers, gardening, painted art, cooking, baking cakes and she had a license to fly. She and her late husband Mack Beech lived on Orange Beach for a few years, overseen shrimp boats and shrimped. They later traveled from coast to coast in their “bus” with blue bird groups and saw the world.
She is also preceded in death by brothers, Wiley, Riley, and Stinson Hall; sisters, Luverne Veveen, Arlie Yohn, Carlie Morris, Gladys Hall; and three nephews and three nieces.
She is survived by her two daughters, Julie (Jeff) Fillmore of Atmore, Carol House (late husband Ralph) Robinson of Huxford; son, James L. (Shelia) House of Goodway; four grandchildren David James (Amber) House, Haley House (Kyle) Albritton , Forrest Fillmore and Justin Fillmore; five great-grandchildren, James Curtis, Payton, Jailynn, Trenton, and Blaze House; loving and devoted sister, Olivia (Larry) Carroll; and brother, Ira (Inez) Hall both of Hattiesburg, MS; 10 nieces and seven nephews; beloved and devoted friend and caregiver, Ophia Millender of Monroeville; and her beloved dog of six years “J.R. Beech.”

Mr. Lee Hadley, 58, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in Bay Minette.
Mr. Hadley was a native of Rabun and a resident of Nokomis, Alabama for the past 15 years. Mr. Hadley worked as a truck driver. A wife, Bonnie Sue Hadley, precedes him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Donna S. Hadley of Bay Minette; one daughter, Jena Hadley Capps of Bay Minette; three step-daughters, Linda K. Myers of Perdido, Betty Hearne of Houston, TX and Jamie Williams of Bay Minette; one brother, Luke Mitchem of Stillwood, MO; two sisters, Maxine Hall of Elberta and Lorraine Gray of Nokomis, Ala; six grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Darlene Bordelon of Nokomis, Ala.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at the Lottie Methodist Cemetery.

Mr. Billy Joe Hadley, 65, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014, in Atmore. Mr. Hadley was a native and life long resident of Perdido.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Hadley of Perdido; one stepson, Don Conway of Poarch; two stepdaughters, Elaine Brewton and Earline Walls both of McCullough; one brother, Charles Ray Alexander of White House Fork, AL and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at the Miller Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ron Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Marty Wilson, Zack Brewton, Ken Brewton and Ryan Linam.

Lee H. Archer, 89, was born in Century on November 11, 1924, and died on January 27, 2014, in Pensacola. He retired from St. Regis Paper Company. He worked at Hess Marine and Pensacola Imports. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married the love of his life, Aphrodite Betty Kagias, in New York City on May 20, 1945.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar A. Archer and E.G. Archer; his sisters, Pringle Fitzgerald, Madrie Ree Robinson and Alvis Reeves.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty K. Archer; brother, Simmie A. Archer; daughters, Barbara A. Rhodes and Cathy A. Pieler; son-in-law, Bill Pieler; son, Mickey Archer; daughter-in-law, Linda B. Archer; granddaughters, Carrie E. Wallace and her husband, Philip, Shannon Kennedy and her fiancé, Cesar Fernandez and Lindsay Fowler and her husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Audrey Wallace and Scotty Wallace.
Funeral service were held at Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South.
Interment was at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Newman Gersin, Dana Dennison, Lewis Hamilton, Mike Little, Bobby Pittman and Dale White.

Helen Joyce Boatwright, 73, passed away January 30, 2014, at her home in Walnut Hill after battling an aggressive form of lung cancer.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Ryals, son Danny Ward and his wife Debbie Ward, son Charles Ward and his wife Wendy Ward, daughter Joanne Boatwright, and daughter Sarah Cagle and her husband Phillip Cagle. She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Eunice Kleinatland, Buddy Smith, brother Billy Smith and his wife Faye Smith, brother Ronnie Smith and his wife Mary Jo Smith, and sister Judy Amos and her husband Robert Amos.
She is preceded in death by her father Arthur Smith and mother Nunie McGhee Smith, husband of 50 years Joe Boatwright, son Larry Ward, and grandson Justin Ward. She is also preceded in death by her brother Dudley Smith, sister Margaret Rigby, sister Zollie Mae Smith, and sister Inez and her husband Ike Holden.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Services will be held tSunday, February 2, 2014, at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home in Cantonment at 9 a.m.

Lester V. Lambright was born April 28, 1952, in Portland, IN, to Valentine and Mary Lambright. Lester went home to our Heavenly Father Sunday, January 26, 2014. He married his lovely wife, Georgene Lambright, April 28, 1973, in St. James, MO moving to the Gulf Coast and providing for his family as an employee with Southern Mill and Supply.
Lester is survived by his loving wife, Georgene Lambright; daughters, Sara (T.C.) Nipper and Mary (Ben) Trice; Step-daughters, Shelly (Jeff) Cain and Kristen Douglas; Mother, Mary Burkholder Lambright; brothers, Ervin (Carol) Lambright, Eli (Sue) Lambright, Felty Jr. (Mary Esther) Lambright and Menno (Louanne) Lambright; sisters, Sarah (David) Hochstettler, Ella Lambright, Rosa (Herman) Miller and Elsie Shell and eleven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North Thursday, January 30, 2014, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Lt. Susie Marie (Sheffield) Joye

Susie was a lifelong resident of Pensacola graduating from Woodham High School in 1976. She went to work at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department first as a dispatcher then as a deputy after graduating from rookie school at Pensacola Junior College in 1982. Over her 30 year career in law enforcement she worked in many divisions including patrol, investigations, and internal affairs before retiring on May 30, 2013, as a Lieutenant in the south patrol district. She was honored by the American Legion Post #340 as officer of the year in 1985. She was also awarded the Medal of Courage in 1993 for bravery in the line of duty. Susie enjoyed gardening and fishing with Charles on the river when they could find the time.
She is preceded in death by her father W.D. (Fitz) Sheffield, her mother Lois Hetherington and husband Tommy, brother T.J. Hetherington, father and mother in law Robert and Sarah Joye.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Charles Joye, son Nicholas Rogers (Jennifer), step daughter Amanda Joye and son Stephen Roddam, Stepson Jason Joye and daughter Anna Belle, sister Pam Sheffield, niece Kimberly Sheffield, uncle Jim Enterkin (Linda), aunt Inez Arrich, special brother in law Robert Joye, and numerous family and friends in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 28, 2014,at Faith Chapel North with Rev. Allen Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Ray’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel.
