Sara “Tiny” Waters

Mrs. Sara “Tiny” Waters, age 66, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Atmore, Alabama.
Mrs. Waters was a native of Atmore, AL and had resided in the Century and Flomaton area for most of her life. She was a member of the Gospel Light Temple Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Earl Waters; parents, Thomas and Jewell Hanks; daughter, Kim Sims; two brothers, Thomas Hanks and Kenneth Hanks and two sisters, Genene Baggett and Mary Griffis.
She is survived by one son, Jamie Waters of Flomaton, AL; one daughter, Ashley Lee of Flomaton, AL; two sisters, Glenda Averett of Atmore, AL and Elizabeth Johnson of Atmore, AL; numerous grandchildren, two special grandsons, Ryder Lee and Brayden Lee and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Carnley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dak Sims, Wade Harris, Jamie Waters, Johnny Griffis, Jon Jon Griffis and Sammy Portwood.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Travis Moye.
Robert N. Fournier

Robert N. Fournier went home to be with his Heavenly Father Jesus Christ Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the age of 84. He passed away peacefully with his wife at his bedside at their resident in Cantonment, FL.
Bob was born January 10, 1936, in St. Petersburg, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Iris Fournier; grandmother, Ina Lingle who he loved dearly; brother; Richard E. Fournier; son, Bobby; and stepson, Terry Snelson.
Bob is survived by his wife, Fran, of 33+ years; step daughter, Teresa Kelly; eight grandchildren, Jesse Snelson (Austina), Janna Rubbert (Dan), Johanna Clark (Cayleb), and Jared and Jamie Snelson, Nick Snelson (Bailie), Lukas Snelson (Michelle), Sydney Spears (Jessie), and Nathan Phillips; four great grandchildren, Lauren Snelson, Gioia and Anthony Snelson, and Aeliana Spears; and sister-in-law, Joann Reeves.
Bob joined the Navy in 1954 serving his Country proudly for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy he worked for the Navy through Civil Service stationed at Whiting Field, Saufley Field and Barren Field.
He was an avid Ham Radio (WA4UTP) Operator, sending messages to missionaries around the world. During his stay in Morocco, he worked at missionaries’ Pig Farms on the weekends. Wherever Bob was stationed he got involved in a local church or helped start a church.
Bob loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was very devoted to his daily prayer time and daily bible study. He served his Lord faithfully. He was a very godly and giving man.
Pallbearers are Jesse Snelson, Lukas Snelson, Warren Duncan, Ronnie Golloher, Dennis Norton, Nathan Phillips, and Nicholas Snelson.
Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2020 at 4PM at Faith Chapel North. A Celebration of Bob’s life will follow at 5PM with Reverend Mike Faircloth officiating. Burial will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2PM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens with Military Honors with Mr. Bill Lewis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Care Hospice, 5041 North 12th. Ave., Pensacola, FL.

Mrs. Angela Findley, age 64, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Findley was a native and former resident of Louisiana and had resided in Century, FL for the past 38 years. She was a 25 year employee of Century Pharmacy and an honorary member of the Sisters on the Fly. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Deanna Aucoin and granddaughter, Nickole Lowery.
She is survived by one son, Blaine (Tamara) Findley of Century, FL; one daughter, Amanda (Clint) Lowery of Century, FL; three brothers, Kirk (Darlene) Aucoin of Bayou Vista, LA, Wayne (Jennie) Aucoin of Bayou Vista, LA and Brian (Joan) Aucoin of Locust Grove, GA; two sisters, Shelly Scott of Mobile, AL and Lisa Latorre of Alexandria, LA; six grandchildren, Clay, Cameron, Ethan, Makayla, Lexi and Kyle and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Brown officiating.

Johnny Ray Chance

Johnny Ray Chance, 56, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020.
Johnny Ray was a resident of Molino, Florida. Johnny Ray was born in Pensacola, Florida, on March 19, 1963. He was a trucker by trade and enjoyed traveling all over the country. He loved his family and had a heart of gold. Johnny Ray would do anything for anyone, as well as, being one of the funniest men you would ever meet. He loved to fish and was good at it too.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Chance; step-father, R. T. Anderson; and nephew, little Tony Mandell.
Johnny Ray is survived by son, John Chance; sister, Sandra Davis; sister, Susie (Tony) Mandell; two brothers, Ray and Jamie Chance; grandchildren, Hunter Chance, Mikenna Mattheiss, and Lane Chance; mother, Betty Lou Chance Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his beloved dog, Peppy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lathram Chapel UMC Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to services.
Richard “Dick” Nicholson

Richard “Dick” Nicholson passed away January 29, 2020. He was born at the old Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola on June 13th, 1940. He was the youngest son of Jim and Thelma Nicholson and grew up with his older brother Ray on the family farm in Molino, Florida.
When he was a kid he and his brother raised 100 hatchling hens and they sold the eggs for $1 dollar a dozen. At the tender age of 10 he raised enough money selling eggs to buy his first piece of land – 10 acres. He graduated from Tate High School in 1958 where he participated in the 4-H Club and made 1st chair, solo clarinetist in his last two years of high school. He cherished many of his lifelong friends from high school, some of which are Jackie Grantham and Phyllis Crooke.
From there he went on to graduate from Florida State University and received his masters in Business Management from the University of West Florida.
In 1963 he married Pippa Nicholson-Kuenn and they had two wonderful children, Pippa Leigh and Russ.
Richard was a Renaissance man, who had an early career as a banker and real estate investor. At the age of 50, he left the world of banking and finance and became a registered nurse in the health care profession.
Richard lived in Dallas, Texas, and in Monte Rio California, and traveled extensively. He moved back to Molino, Florida, to help care for his parents and to put his farming genes to use where he later retired there planting sunflowers in the family fields.
His lifelong friend, Diane Somer, would say he was a perfect reflection of his sunflowers because he brought happiness to others. Richard was an avid traveler, loved adventures, and sharing life with family and friends. He also loved history and donated his time to the Molino Historical Museum.
He is survived by his daughter Pippa Leigh Nicholson-Moore (John), son, James “Russ” Nicholson, Pippa Nicholson-Kuenn (Mother of their children), grandchildren: Nicola and Lucas Moore, Nieces: Sandra Nicholson-Fitzpatrick, Lisa Nicholson, Jamie Nicholson, and first cousin: Barbara Hendrix and family along with many close friends, especially a special group of life long friends who loved him dearly.
A memorial Service will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. Aldersgate United Methodist Church is located at 6915 North Highway 29 in Molino.
Jewel Bondurant Dean

Mrs. Jewel Bondurant Dean, age 88 of Flomaton, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at a Mobile, AL health care facility.
Mrs. Dean was a native of Repton, AL, and a life long member of the Flomaton community where she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton. She enjoyed working in her yard, baking cakes and her family. Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her parents, John Dewey and Alta Shipp Bondurant; husband of 28 years, Werth Kemble Dean; four brothers, Frank Bondurant, Calvin Bondurant, Dewey Bondurant, H.P. Bondurant; sisters, Mary Ella White and Grace Chastain Butler.
She is survived by her son, Werth Kemble (Donnie) Dean, Jr. of Ashaway, RI; daughter, Beverely (Gary) Howell of Mobile, AL; brother, Alfred (Ruth) Bondurant of Republic of Panama, Panama; sisters, Juanita (Gordan) Howell of Pensacola, FL, Willean Sales of Monroeville , AL, Dawn (Dennis) Printy of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie (Alex) Pate, Stephen (Julia) Howell, Amy (Stephen) Elms; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren, Rudy, Conner, Haley, Katie, Harper, Harrison, Hayden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 1 P.M. until a service time at 2 P.M. with Dr. Tim Tew officiating.
Interment will follow in Flomaton Cemetery, Flomaton, AL.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Howell, Stephen Elms, Alex Pate, Jacob Pate, Rudy Howell, Conner Howell.

Ralph “Chuck” L. Godwin, Jr., age 62, was born in Pensacola, Florida on August 16, 1957. He resided in Cantonment, Florida and passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020.
Chuck attended Tate High School and graduated from Troy University. He had his own business as an accountant. Chuck loved fishing, but loved his family more than anything. He was an amazing father and husband, who will be greatly missed.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph L. Godwin, Sr. and Barbara Godwin.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marie Godwin; daughter, Beth Godwin; sister, Donna Castles; brother, John Godwin; sister, Ann Farrow; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Friday, January 31, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. Ronnie Outlaw, a cousin and close friend, will serve as officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Billfish Foundation, of which Chuck was a member for 20 years.

Mrs. Jessie Lee Jay, age 83, of Atmore, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Lower Peach, Ala. to the late Lewis Fredrick and Annie Elizabeth Jay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Edward Jay; a brother, Bo Green and sisters, Martha Griffin, Annie Laura Welch and Edith Heatherington.
Mrs. Jay is survived by her children, George Allen (Shelly) Jay, Frank Edward (Karen) Jay, Julia Elizabeth Norwood, all of Atmore, and Laura Lee (Paul) McKinley of Callahan, FL; two brothers, Jim (Faye) Green of Red Level, AL. and Lewis (Joann) Green of Rocky Hill, AL.; four sisters, Margaret Johnson of Stockton, AL, Della Chunn and Sadie Chunn, both of Rocky Hill and Frances Brown of Frisco City, AL; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 26, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Allen Chase officiating. Burial followed in Rocky Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Willie T. English

Willie T. English, 89, of Walnut Hill, FL, passed away Wednesday January 22, 2020, in Walnut Hill.
He was a forest ranger for the State of Florida, born in Pineville, FL, on May 9, 1930, to the late Thomas and Fannie Rolin English.
He is preceded in death by hisarents; wife, Minnie Ruth English’ a son, William English; two sisters, Evelyn Spence and Aliene Weaver.
Survivors are two sons, Bill (Angie) English and Thomas English all of Walnut Hill, FL; five grandchildren, Erin Karaim, Gunnar English, Daniel English, Emily English, and Lindsey Shepley; three sisters, Jessie Kelly of Satsuma, AL, Amy Arthur of MI, and Ola Quinley of Bay Minette, AL.
Services will be Saturday January 25, 2020. at 11 a.m. from Dry Springs Community Church with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating. Active Pallbearers are Harold English, John McCullough, Steve McCullough, Jessie Grimes, Riley Mitchell and Daniel English.
Interment will follow in Dry Springs Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Saturday January 25 , 2020, at Dry Springs Cemetery from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
