Frances Mason Brewton, age 74, of Cantonment FL, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Friday, March 19, 2021. She was born on June 13, 1946 in Canoe, AL; but always lived in the Cantonment area. Hobbies were Quilting, Genealogy and crocheting her famous pot holders for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leslie & Dillie Ann Mason. She is survived by her husband Harvey E. Brewton Sr, of 55 years, three sons Ronald L. (Bonney) Brewton , Harvey E. (Faye) Brewton Jr, and Donald W. Brewton all of Pensacola FL, one daughter Mary Jo Martin of Crestview, FL. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Brothers, Leslie (Dolores) Mason Jr. and Billy Mason. Sisters Mary Helen (JW) Thomley, Monettie Bethea, Virginia (Jerry) Dunn, Barbara (Thomas) Noel, and Thelma (Ralph) Wilson all of the Pensacola surrounding area.
Pallbearers are Anthony Brewton, Steven Wilson, Marvin Martin, Jeffrey Wilson, Lonnie Martin and Kevin Pilgrim.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and Services at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 26, 2021. Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 S. Hwy 29, Cantonment , FL. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
Thomas Leo Odom

Mr. Thomas Leo Odom, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in Crestview, Florida.
Mr. Odom was a native of Brewton, AL, former resident of Lake Wales, FL and had resided in Atmore, AL for the past 56 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and was a member of the Grace Fellowship Community Church. He was owner-operator of Odom’s Service Center of Perdido and served as Sergeant at arm with the Atmore American Legion Post #90.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Smith Odom of Atmore, AL; four sons: Frankie (John) Morgan of Jacksonville, FL, Richard (Robin) Morgan of Canoe, AL, Tony Odom of Atmore, AL and Kenneth (Ceola) Odom of Pace, FL; one daughter, Rhonda (Barry) Middleton of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, Rual (Jackie) Odom of Lakeland, FL; one sister, Charlotte (Billy Ray) Williams of Davisville, FL; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at11:00 AM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be the American Legion.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Grace Fellowship Community Church Missionary Fund.
Jean Steadham Davis

Jean Steadham Davis, age 93, of Century, FL passed away on March 13, 2021 in Pensacola, FL. She was born on July 24, 1927 in McCullough, AL to the late John and Lydia Parson Steadham. She was a member of Pine Barren Baptist Church. She worked in retail sales with Bedsole Department Store for several years then later became a Homemaker. Mrs. Jean loved her family dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Calvin Davis, Sr. and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, John C. (Lynn Beasley) Davis, Jr. of Atmore, AL and Benjamin E. (Dottie) Davis of Walnut Hill, FL; her grandchildren, Little John Calvin (Sandy) Davis, III of Atmore, AL, Anna Davis (Christopher) Barry of Cantonment, FL, Lacey Davis (Travis) Suits of DeBary, FL and Clinton E. Davis of Cantonment, FL and four great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Mike Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, AL.
Active pallbearers will be Little John Davis, III, Clinton E. Davis, Christopher Barry, Travis Suits, Oscar Davis and Brian Davis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pine Barren Baptist Church. Dempsey Charles Levins, 76 of Repton, AL. passed away on March 13, 2021. He served 3 years in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson H. Levins; mother, Vera Estelle Presley; brother, Michael Levins; and sister, Juanita White.
Dempsey is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Levins, sons, Dempsey Anderson of Fredricksburg, VA; Jason (Katie) Levins of Daphne, AL; daughters, Wendy Lynn Levins of Los Angeles, CA; Krystal (Ricky) Sellers of Mandeville, LA; Heather (Heath) Wiggins of Excel, AL; Meloney (Brad) Faulk of Century, FL; and grandchildren, Alexandria Levins-Trail, Jakson Newton, Molly Ann Newton, Ada Sellers, Madelyn Faulk, Knox Wiggins, McCoy Wiggins, Hattie Sellers, Elsa Faulk, Rush Wiggins, Wyatt Sellers, Annalee Faulk, Bellerin Faulk and Raylan Levins.
Dempsey really enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling the world.

John C. “J.C” Moye, age 83, of Atmore, AL passed away on March 10, 2021 in Atmore, AL. He was born on January 17, 1938 in Escambia County, AL to the late Tem, Sr. and Thelma Booth Moye. He was a member and deacon of Presley Street Baptist Church. He was a retired Chemical Operator with Monsanto Company and an avid farmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy A. Moye and three sisters, Pauline Seay, Glenda Cooper and Margaret Sharpland.
He is survived by his sons, Richard (Pam) Moye of Bay Minette, AL, Rondel (Karen) Moye of Sharon, SC, Robert (Janice) Moye of Bratt, FL and Tony (Kim) Lambert of Satsuma, AL; his daughters, Regina (James) Hare of Walnut Hill, FL and Debra Thrower of Atmore, AL; his brother, Tem Moye, Jr. of Flomaton, AL; his sister, Jackie (Michael) Perritt of Pace, FL; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Moyeville Baptist Church Cemetery in Moyeville, AL.

Mr. Troy DeWayne Boutwell, age 52, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Century, Florida.
Mr. Boutwell was born in Pensacola, FL and had resided in Flomaton, AL for most of his life. He was a self-employed Tree Surgeon and Mechanic. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Boutwell; grandmother, Lelia Boutwell and nephew, Drake Boutwell.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Babineaux of Flomaton, AL; one son, Kenneth DeWayne Sanders of Century, FL; one daughter, Leila Katherine Sanders of Century, FL; one brother, Alton Ray (Genia) Boutwell of Flomaton, AL; one sister, Samantha Babineaux of Flomaton, AL; nieces, Shain Mathis and Jordyn Boutwell; nephew, Justin (Alie) Boutwell; special friend, Josephine Johnson of Flomaton, AL and other family and many friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

Infant Journey Lee Asher Britton, age 2 months, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Mobile, Alabama.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Barbara Andrews and maternal grandmother, Regina Wilson.
Survivors include his parents, John and Amy Britton of Flomaton, AL; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Brenda Wilson of Brewton, AL; paternal grandparent, Johnny Andrews of Pace, FL; great grandparents, Joyce and Wood Alfred of Coosada, AL; three brothers, John Britton, Jr., Colton Cardwell, and his twin brother, Emerson Britton all of Flomaton, AL; four sisters, Analyssa Britton, Abigail Britton, Madison Madden and Breanna Britton all of Flomaton, AL and three uncles, Ryan Madden of Brewton, AL, Cedric Andrews of Pensacola, FL and Randall McElhaney of Cookeville, TN.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Beulah Cemetery with Bro. Rusty Burnham officiating.

Sherry Ann Favorite Hardy

Sherry Ann Favorite Hardy was born June 15, 1952 to Louis and Annie Favorite. She departed this world on March 8, 2021.
Awaiting her with open arms is her eldest son, Little Ronnie (Ronco) Hardy and her Daddy. Sherry was the owner of Sherry’s Cake Shop, locally owned for over 49 years, providing cakes for all occasions. Sherry was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Allen Hardy, Jr, her father, Louis Roosevelt Favorite, Sr, her Papa, Robert Favorite and her Granny, Elsie Lowery.
Sherry leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted son, Ryne Allen Hardy and the light of her life, grandson, Fisher Allen Hardy. Also, left to treasure many years of life together, her boyfriend, Donnie Barnes. Sherry enjoyed the many years spent at her shop with her mother, Annie Favorite. Sherry was the oldest of six girls and one big brother, all of whom loved her immensely. Louie (Vicky) Favorite, Mary Lou (Rick) Bird, Nancy (Geri) Pelfrey, Linda Kay Favorite, Lisa Favorite (Cliff Alegre) and Susan (Jason) Jernigan. Sherry had three nieces and four nephews that she spoiled as often as she could. Brice (Brandice) Pelfrey, Brandi (Brandon) Morris, Lance (Laura) Bird, Leanne (Casey) Bearden, Brett (Laura) Pelfrey, Celia Favorite and Tommy Piazza. Sherry enjoyed her great-nieces and nephews, all of whom loved them some “Sherry’s Shop”. Brelynn, Braxton, and Braylee Morris; Ellie, Everly and Easton Pelfrey; Ava Grace Bird; Karter Kay Piazza; Makenzie and Clayton Bearden.
Sherry put everyone else before herself. She proudly contributed to the Cordova Mall Ball and the Krewe du YaYas in their fundraising efforts. Sherry could put a smile on anyone’s face, either by being silly or making yummy goodies. Sherry took great joy in teaching the Children’s Cake Classes each summer. She watched proudly as the children grew and their talents developed. Sherry was a fighter and a hard worker.
She fought hard and won her battle with cancer twice.

here will be a visitation from 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Faith Chapel South. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 with Casey Bearden officiating.
Internment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Everyone who knew her loved her, especially Ryne and Fisher. We will miss you MawMaw!
Barbara J. Conley

Barbara J. Conley, age 89, passed away on March 8, 2021 in Atmore, AL. She was born on August 31, 1931 in Summerdale, AL. to the late Charles Sidney and Bessie Burns Courtney. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired Bridal Consultant and her favorite hobby was crochet and knitting.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Conley; grandson, Kenneth Milstead and her five siblings.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Rebecca) Conley of Pensacola, FL and daughters, Deborah (Eric) Springer of Chesapeake, VA and Cynthia (Vincent) Milstead of Oak Grove, FL; five grandchildren, Kelly Springer, Ryan Springer, Michael Milstead, Darcy Baillie, Tara Milstead and four great grandchildren.
Private family funeral service will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Chewning officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Grove, FL.

Sheila Betterton Peterson

Sheila Betterton Peterson went to be with the Lord the evening of March 9th, 2021. She was born in Pensacola, FL but traveled extensively overseas as a member of a proud military family.
Sheila is a graduate of Tate High School, Pensacola State College (A.S.), University of Central Florida (B.S.) and the University of West Florida (M.S.).
Sheila retired after 35 years of service as an instructor at Pensacola State College where she taught respiratory care and other health related courses. She has been a faithful member of Olive Baptist Church since 1977.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Malloree Betterton. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Jack Peterson; her son, Bart (Gia); daughter, Erika; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM, on Sun., March 14, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Jason Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1PM prior to services.
ln lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Associations of Northwest Florida in honor of those continuing their fight against pulmonary fibrosis.
