Expect Overnight Lane Restrictions On Hwy 29 In Cantonment

Drivers can expect delays tonight in Cantonment.
Southbound traffic on U.S. 29 at Muscogee Road will encounter lane restrictions between 8:00 Wednesday night and 6:00 Thursday morning. The outside left lane will be closed as crews from Floyd Brothers Construction continue construction placement of a new right turn lane for the Raceway gas station.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, drivers are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling through the construction area, and to use caution, especially at night, when driving in work zones.

No Blue Angels On Wednesday

The Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, The Blue Angels will not be performing a practice demonstration over Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola on Wednesday.
The team is slated to return to their regularly scheduled practice demonstrations over NAS Pensacola as posted on the Blue Angel website (www.BlueAngels.navy.mil) on March 27th.
Fun For The Kids: Come And Play Day

The Barrineau Park Historical Society will present “Come and Play Day” on Wednesday.
School age children and their parents are invited to enjoy the outdoor play area and the indoor history museum at the Barrineau Park Community Center from noon until 2 p.m. Parents must remain with their children during the free event.

Beulahfest Begins Today With Travis Tritt

Beulahfest will take place today and Saturday at the Escambia County Equestrian Center with headliner acts Travis Tritt and Rodney Atkins.
The festival features not only great music, but plenty of fun, rides, and of course those delicious sausages. Beulahfest attracts thousands each year, with proceeds benefiting the Beulah Volunteer Fire Department and other local charities.
The event takes place at the Escambia County Equestrian Center, 7750 Mobile Highway. For more info: 944-3167, or visit www.beulahfest.com. General admission tickets are $12 each before 6 p.m. and $15 each after 6 p.m. Children 7 and under are admitted free. Weekend passes will be available at the gate until 6 p.m. Friday for $22.
