- Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
- Sunday Night: Scattered showers, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Monday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 72. South wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
- Monday Night: Scattered showers. Cloudy, with a low around 47. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Tuesday: Isolated showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 60. North wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Area Christmas Parades Continue Saturday

Here is a list of the remaining Christmas parades to be held this year around the North Escambia area:
December 7 — Milton Boat Parade
The Riverwalk Milton Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7.
December 8 — Chumuckla
The Chumuckla Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 8. Floats will line up on Mineral Springs Road at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. from the cotton gin, travel Highway 182, cross Chumuckla Highway and end at Salter Road.
December 8 – Brewton
The Brewton Christmas Parade will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 8. The parade will travel from Forrest Avenue in East Brewton, across the Mildred Street Bridge to St. Joseph Street to Belleville Avenue.
December 8 — Atmore
The Atmore 2012 Twilight Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 8 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The parade will follow its traditional route from the Atmore City Hall, down Main Street, to Lindberg Avenue and ending at Escambia County High School. Over two dozen floats are entered, along with several bands and numerous other groups. Parade participants should be at the Atmore City Hall by 4 p.m.
December 8 — Pensacola
The Pensacola Christmas Parade will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 8 in downtown Pensacola. Featuring local bands and the Blue Angels.
December 15 — Molino
The annual Molino Christmas Parade on Crabtree Church Road will be Saturday, December 15 at 11 a.m., ending with Santa Claus at the Molino Ballpark. To enter the parade, stop by Fran’s Diner on Highway 29 for information and to sign up.

Rooftop Toy Drive Today
December 8, 2012
Firefighters Union 4104, along with MPH Bike club will sponsoring an “Up On The Roof Top Toy Drive” today from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m at Fred’s department store in Atmore.
A toy drive will also be held at Rite-Aid on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m to collect toys for Change of Mind Ministries to be distributed to local kids.

Unfortunately, customers of some internet service providers (ISP’s), will be unable to access the video. This is beyond our control. Orlando Bound: Still Need A Room?

Northview fans that are Orlando bound and still need a room can still receive the “FHSAA State Football Finals” rate at the Coco Key Hotel and Water Resort.
Located on International Drive, the resort hotel is just nine miles from the Citrus Bowl. Northview fans that are traveling on school sponsored spirit buses are staying at the Coco Key.

Send Off The Chiefs Today; Purchase Game Tickets At NHS

The Northview Chiefs will hit the road for Orlando today, and you’ll have the chance to take part in the sendoff.
The varsity football players and coaches, varsity cheerleaders, Tribal Beat Band, dance team, NJROTC color guard, and their sponsors and coaches will be treated to a Chiefs breakfast at the school (not open to the public).
A send-off will take place at Northview High School at 1:00 p.m. with the band, cheerleaders, dance team and the entire school cheering on their state champ contenders as they load onto charter buses. The send-off on campus is not open to the public, but Chiefs fans area asked to line the highways in several locations to cheer on the Chiefs as they depart.
In Bratt, fans should line Highway 4 from Northview High west to Highway 99 (the “Bratt Crossroads”). Once the Chiefs depart Northview, they will travel to Bratt Elementary and Ernest Ward Middle School where students will cheer them on. (Once again, the on-campus events at Bratt and Ernest Ward are not public.) In Walnut Hill, fans can line Highway 97 between the Ernest Ward “bus loop” entrances south to Highway 99A and Highway 99A to the Ernest Ward gym.
The team buses will then travel back past Northview to Byrneville Elementary School, and then to Century, were businesses and residents are urged to show their support by lining Highway 4 (east and west), and Highway 29 between West Highway 4 and East Highway 4. The buses are estimated to arrive in Century between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m.
Residents and businesses in Jay are also planning to line Highway 4 to support the Chiefs as they pass through Jay.
Tickets: Tickets for Friday night’s Class 1A championship game in Orlando’s Citrus Bowl will be on sale through noon Thursday at Northview High School. All tickets are $12. Per FHSAA policy, there are no discount tickets and no passes available.

McGhee, Lambeth Plead Not Guilty In Lottery Store Murder, Robbery

The Alabama men that allegedly robbed and shot a Davisville lottery store owner last month have entered not guilty pleas.
Malcolm McGhee Jr., 24, and Brent Dewayne Lambeth, 20, are charged with first degree murder and robbery with a firearm for the shooting death of 74-year old Thomas “Tommy” Kroll during a robbery on November 6 at the State Line O’ Yes Lotto on Highway 97.
Both men are currently set for a jury trial to begin in early February. In the meantime, both will remain in the Escambia County Jail without bond.
Investigators said McGhee and Lambeth targeted Kroll’s business because they had previous purchased “Spice” there and the duo intended on robbing the store of more of the synthetic marijuana.
