Expect Delays Escambia Bay Bridge, Pensacola Bay Bridge

Drivers can expect delays on the I-10 Escambia Bay Bridge and the Highway 98 Pensacola Bay Bridge the next few days, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Crews will perform maintenance work on the I-10 Escambia Bay Bridge located  from 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19.  The eastbound outside and middle lanes will be closed.  Traffic may encounter minor delays.

Crews will perform sign maintenance and debris pickup on the Pensacola Bay Bridge located on U.S. 98 from 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 to 2 a.m. Thursday, June 20.  Traffic may encounter minor delays.

Free Performance Of ‘Oklahoma!’ Tonight In Pensacola

The Pyramid Players will present a free performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” tonight in Pensacola.

An art show and silent auction will precede the performance at 5:00, with a 7:00 curtain time at the Ashmore Theatre at the Pensacola State College Main Campus at 1000 College Boulevard.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted. The Pyramid Players is part of a non-profit organization that serves about 700 adults, many of which face severe developmental barriers. The Pyramid Players perform across Florida and in Georgia and Alabama.

State Government Concern? Rep. Ingram Available Today In Century

State Rep. Clay Ingram (R-Pensacola) will hold office hours next week in Century.

Ingram will be at the Century Chamber of Commerce at 7811 North Century Boulevard from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 13. Area  residents are invited to meet  Ingram, including anyone in need of assistance with state programs or agencies.

Appointments are not required, but a time may be reserved by calling Ingram’s District Office at (850) 494-7330.

Headed To The Beach? Lane Closures Planned

Intermittent lane closures are planned today at the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza.

The closures are expected to end by 2:30 p.m. with all four lanes open for traffic. The disruptions are part of more than $430,000 in roadway improvements designed to enhance traffic flow and address safety concerns for pedestrians headed to Pensacola Beach.
