JV Chiefs Wrap Up Season Tonight Against West Florida

The junior varsity Northview Chiefs will wrap up their season tonight.
The JV Chiefs will host the West Florida Jaguars at 6:00 tonight in Bratt. The game was rescheduled from Thursday, October 3.
Friday night, the varsity Chiefs will be on the road in Defuniak Springs to take on Walton High.

Automation and Production Technology Academy Night At Northview

An Automation and Production Technology Academy night will be held today from 6-7 p.m. in the Northview High School media center.
The Automation and Production Technology Academy at Northview is a pilot program through the Academy. The academy is a pilot program through the Northwest Florida Manufacturers Council with a partnership with Ascend Performance and other area manufacturers.
The A&PT Academy night will help parents, students and community members understand the purpose and benefits of the academy. Ernest Ward will be included in the event due to the foundation courses offered at EWMS.
Century Considers New Animal Control Law Banning Barnyard Animals
October 20, 2013
The Town of Century is considering a new animal control ordinance that will ban barnyard animals and livestock within most areas of the town.
If the town council approves the ordinance, it would immediately become illegal to keep any horse, mule, donkey, goat, sheep or cattle within the town limits, except on property zoned as agricultural.
The council will hold a first public reading of the ordinance during their regular meeting at 7 p.m. A second reading and public hearing will be held on November at 7 p.m., after which the council is scheduled to vote on the ordinance.

Rain Should End In Time For Free Family Movie ‘Despicable Me’ Tonight At The Ballpark

The Northwest Escambia Baseball Park and NorthEscambia.com are teaming up to bring you a free Family Movie Night. Tonight at 7:00, we’ll bring you “Despicable Me” on the big screen. The rain should be ending before movie time.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs since the ground is wet. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available if it gets cook, along with other concessions.
No outside coolers. This is a family event; no alcohol or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted toward the cost of the event for NWE’s 2014 baseball season.
Bradberry Park is located on Highway 99A in Walnut Hill, directly behind Ernest Ward Middle School.
Tate Students To Take Part In CANstruction Event Downtown

Manna Food Pantries and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) of Northwest Florida present the Sixth Annual CANstruction design and build event at downtown Pensacola’s
Gallery Night celebration tonight. New to this year’s event will be Junior CANstruction that will include Tate High School.
Six Pensacola firms are presenting a CANstructure in this year’s event. All structures will be located at Artel Gallery.
“We appreciate AIA and the participating firms and schools for their partnership with Manna to feed the hungry in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Over the years, CANstruction has raised over 51,000 pounds of food for those in need,” said DeDe Flounlacker, Manna executive director. “Last year, Manna provided food to 44,209 people. Events like CANstruction help raise much needed donated food for the hungry.”

Northview Homecoming: All You Need To Know

It will be a big day in Bratt with the 2013 Homecoming at Northview High School.
A parade and pep rally were held earlier this afternoon.
The Northview Homecoming Court will be presented at about 6 p.m., followed by the crowning of the NHS Homecoming Queen. The game against the Freeport Bulldogs will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
