Century Council Meeting Rescheduled

January 16, 2017

Tonight’s regular meeting of the Century Town Council has been rescheduled for next Monday, January 23 at 7 p.m. at the Century Town Hall. The meeting was rescheduled due to today’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Regular meeting of the Century Town Council are scheduled for the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the town hall. All meeting are open to the public.

Molino Park Placed On Lockdown After Suspect Bails From Traffic Stop

UPDATE: The suspect has been taken into custody. Name and details to follow.

Molino Park Elementary School was placed on lockdown  before noon today after someone ran from a traffic stop near the school.

According to Maj. Andrew Hobbs of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy attempted a traffic stop when someone bailed out of the vehicle and ran. Deputies and a K-9 unit were attempting to track the suspect inside a perimeter setup with deputies along Highway 97 and Crabtree Church Road behind the school.

The school was placed into lockdown as a precaution.
