Northview Band Spring Concert Is Tonight

The Northview High School Spring Concert will be held tonight at 7:00 in the school theater. Admission is free. The concert will feature the concert band, advance guitar ensemble, vocal soloists, feature twirler and a cell/piano duet.

Century Library Celebrating 10 Years

The Century Branch Library is celebrating 10 years this week.
The town’s former police station was renovated for $375,000 into a 3,000 square foot library. Most of the funds were from the local options sales tax along with a $113,333 grant from IMPACT 100 for the children’s reading room.
A big grand opening was held on April 18, 2007, with local dignitaries and a “BBQ, Books and Balloons” ceremony. The ribbon was cut by then mayor Evelyn Hammond and Century Library Branch Manager Pat Rigel. Rigel has been manager since the day the library opened.
Since that day, the Century Branch Library has recorded 163,041 visits from area residents and has loaned out 144,517 items. The most popular event at the Century Branch Library? Always the Easter egg hunt.

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will hold Easter in the Park Saturday in in Heritage Park on the corner of Main and Craig streets. Free refreshments, arts and crafts and Easter games. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 9:30 am. and the fun continues until 11:30 a.m. Easter photo packages will be offered for sale.
Enon Community Easter Egg Hunt
A Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Enon Baptist Church Saturday at 10 a.m. with a light lunch to follow. Children in first through fifth grades are welcome. The church is located at 7121 County Road 97A in Walnut Hill.
Aldersgate Molino Easter Egg Hunt
Aldersgate United Methodist Church will hold an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the church, 6915 Highway 29 in Molino.
Quintette Community Center Easter Egg Hunt
