Tate FFA Alumni Rodeo Is Friday, Saturday Nights

The 26th Annual Tate FFA Alumni Foundation Rodeo will be Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 at the Escambia County Equestrian Center on Mobile Highway.
Advance tickets are available at Farm and Nursery Mart, Hill Kelly Dodge, Barnes Feed Store Pensacola, Tate High School and the Cantonment General Store. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for children in advance and $10 and $5 at the gate.

Tate Softball, Baseball In Playoffs Today

After rain delays, the Tate Aggie softball and baseball games will be in playoff action today.
Region Quarterfinal Softball
In Region 1-7A softball action, Milton High School will take on the Lady Aggies of Tate at 6 p.m. at Tate High School. Admission is $7.
District Championship Baseball
The Tate High School Aggies are two games away from a District 1-7A baseball championship. The Aggies will play Escambia High School at 4 p.m. at Tate High School. The winner will advance to play Pine Forest at 7 p.m., also at Tate High School. Admission is $6.

New Neighborhood Watch Forming Tonight In Barrineau Park

Gulf Power Restores 13,000 Customers; All Expected Back On By Tonight

UPDATE: Gulf Power reports all customers restored.
Gulf Power Company said Monday afternoon that crews had restored power to more than 13,000 customers following Sunday’s storms and high winds. They expect all customers to have their power restored by 6 p.m.
As of 3:45 p.m., Gulf Power reported 692 customers without power in 173 locations across Escambia County. Only about 50 of those customers were in the North Escambia area.
Final Day To Apply For Tornado Housing Recovery Funds In Century

Today is the final day for Century residents to apply for housing rehabilitation assistance for houses that were damaged as a result of the February 15, 2016, tornado.
Only residents whose housing units were damaged by the tornado are eligible to apply. To qualify for assistance, the home that was damaged must be located inside the city limits of the Town of Century and must have a total household income at or below the following criteria:
Applicants whose total gross household income exceeds the income limits for their size household will not be considered for rehabilitation grant assistance.
Persons interested in being considered for inclusion in this program must call Samella Myles at the Century Town Hall at (850) 256-3208 between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm today and ask that their name be placed on the housing assistance waiting list. Only those who call in to Century Town Hall will be placed on the waiting list.
