Sheriff’s Office Clean Sweep Today In Cottage Hill

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a Clean Sweep in the Cottage Hill area this morning.

The focus of “Operation Clean Sweep” is to work with Neighborhood Watch groups, residents, churches and business owners to control and prevent the damaging effects of criminal activity, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Tate High Band Concert Tonight At Hillcrest

The Tate High School Spring Concert will be tonight at 6:30 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

The concert will feature the concert band, symphonic band at the wind ensemble.

The Tate Band will also “pass the hat” to collect money for instruments, music, and items damaged at Workman Middle School last week. Lightning struck their orchestra room and it caught fire…destroying most everything in it.

District 5 Commissioner Barry Town Hall Meeting Today

Saturday is the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. You can help by placing a bag of non-perishable food items in or around your mailbox. Your letter carrier will collect the food items and deliver them to local food banks and pantries.

The Letter Carriers Food Drive is the largest, single-day effort to combat hunger in America.

Suggested non-perishable food items include canned soup, canned meat, canned vegetables, bottled juice, pasta, rice or cereal. Items that are past their expiration date or in glass containers should not be included.
