Miss Zoey Elizabeth Simmons, 6, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2010 in Bradley, AL.
Zoey was a native and former resident of Andalusia, AL, and a resident of Wing, AL for the past year. She was a member of the Pleasant Home Eagles Softball Team, a straight A student at Pleasant Home Elementary School, a smiling friend to everyone and attended the Rock Creek Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: her Father, Brian Simmons of Wing, AL; a Brother, Jaden Lee Simmons of Wing, AL; her Grandparents, Jacky and Cathy Smith of Flomaton, AL, Mayhew and Mary Booker of Wing, AL, and Esker Simmons of Winter Garden, FL; Great-Grandparents, Jessie Mae Smith of Atmore, AL, Melvin Findley of Century, FL, Carolyn Ponders of NC, and Patsy Booker of Baker, FL; an Uncle, Christopher Simmons of Wing, AL; an Aunt, Jessica Booker of Wing, AL; a Great-Aunt, Brenda Jernigan of Century, FL; and her Cousins, Chris and Tasha Crapps of Flomaton, AL, Amber Booker and Emily Booker, both of Wing, AL, and Sarah Ann Crapps of Flomaton, AL..
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Pierce and the Rev. Jared Knowl officiating.
Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010 between 6:00 and 9:00 P.M at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Lucas, Tommy Smith, Matt Jernigan, Shawn Lucas, Chris Crapps, and Wesley Booker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Booker and Jerry Ponders.

Mrs. Kathryn Hardy Jeter, 62, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at a Pensacola, FL hospital.
Mrs. Jeter was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, AL, a former employee of Vanity Fair Mills for 25 years, and attended the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her Father, Louie Hardy.
Survivors include: her Husband of 43 years, Earl Jeter of Atmore, AL; two Sons, Joey Jeter of Atmore, AL, and Todd and Amy Jeter of Atmore, AL; her Mother, Dorothy Hardy of Atmore, AL; 2 Grandchildren, Blaine Jeter of Atmore, AL and Krista Jo “Sissy” Jeter of Atmore, AL; and three Sisters, Judy and Dale Clements of Millry, AL, Pat and Johnny Moore of Cantonment, FL, and Margie and Ken Harper of Atmore, AL.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie McGhee and the Rev. Chris Prewett officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 between 6:00 and 9:00 P.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas “Bill” Zorn, 84, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Pensacola, FL.
Mr. Zorn was a native of Malvern, AL, a former resident of Atmore, AL, and a resident of Pensacola, FL for the past 9 years. He was a veteran of WWII, a former dispatcher and Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Atmore and attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his Wife of 63 years, Agnes J. Zorn of Pensacola, FL; his Son, Joe and Wanda Zorn of Pensacola, FL; two Daughters, Patricia and Don Mitchell of Navarre, FL, and Linda and Jorge Crespo of Orlando, FL; 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; a Brother, Paul Zorn of Slocomb, AL; and two Sisters, Nell Enfinger and Sybil Poland, both of Slocomb, AL.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Serenity Garden Cemetery with the Rev. David Zorn officiating and Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. directing.

Mr. Hubert Bryars, age 72, of Walnut Hill, Fla., died Friday, April 16, 2010, in Atmore, Ala. He was a carpenter, born in Robertsdale, Ala. to the late Alton Parker and Loree Franklin Bryars.
Mr. Bryars is survived by five daughters, Jackie Gregg of Panama City, Fla., Becky Angeles of Molino, Fla., Cathy Bryars of Repton, Ala., Patricia Vaughan of Walnut Hill and Rita Bryars of Panama City; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Pine Barren Cemetery at Davisville, Fla.
Active pallbearers will be Danny Gregg, Byron Vaughan, Billy Franklin, Ernie Angeles, Larry Condrey and J.W. Condrey.

Vollie Harber, age 73, of Cantonment, Florida passed away April 19, 2010. Vollie was born May 10, 1936 in Trenton, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Preceding him in death were his parents; Vollie and Evie Harber and his sister; June Arnold Morgan.
Survivors include his wife; Shirley Harber, daughter; Melody Scheele, son; Dickey Harber, step-son; Brian Abercrombie (Valerie), his grandchildren; Taylor and Jarrod Scheele, step-grandchildren; David, Joseph, Sarah , Joshua, McKenzie and Aaron, his sister; Corinne Wade Holman (Jim) and his brothers; Rayburn Harber (Lanore) and Lossie Harber (Ann).

Joseph Lynn Parrott

Joseph Lynn Parrott, age 60 of Cantonment, FL, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010.
Joe was born in Campbellsville, KY January 19, 1950 to Joseph D. Parrott and Mary Jane Lyle Parrott, the fourth of six children. Joe grew up in Greenup County, KY where he graduated from high school in 1968 before entering the military service. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years before retiring in Pensacola, FL. After retirement, Joe joined the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department as a correctional officer and he retired in March of 2009. Joe spent many hours on the A. C. Reed golf course aboard NAS Pensacola, FL and with the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. He was a member of the Gold Wings Riders Association and was an 18 year member of AA. His roots were deep in the hills of Kentucky and he was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. The best years of his life were spent with his wife, Wanda, whom he loved beyond all. He was a loyal friend and devoted to his family.
Honor Guard from the Escambia County Road Prison and a Military Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Louise Parker and his father-in-law, Ellis G. Beck.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Beck Parrott; sister, Joyce Dougherty of Lexington, KY; brother and sister-in-law Alan and Lis Parrott of Lancaster, OH; brother-in-law, Malcolm Parker of Arlington Heights, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Libbi and Bo Singleton of Flatwoods, KY; and brother, Tom Parrott of Hilliard, OH. He also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and special friends.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.

Wilbur Luke “Mookie” Brown age 86, of Pensacola passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at his residence. Mookie was born July 29, 1924 in Atmore, Alabama. He was a WWII veteran and an active member of the American Legion Post 340. Mookie was a loving and devoted husband and father.
He lived a long and fulfilling life and will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
He leaves behind his beloved step-daughter and son-in-law; Scott and Sonya Jones, a loved and cherished grandson; Taylor Jones, step-daughters; Judy Franklin, Karen Robinson and step-son; Malcolm Perdue, a loved nephew; Johnnie Wooten and his wife Shelia, step-grandsons; Joey (Melanie) Williams and Linzey (Felicia) Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mary Lois Reese, age 78, passed away Monday April, 12, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her son Lynn Fralick; her parents Nel and Myrtle Inez Robinson; sister Willie Mae Agerton and brother Bill Robinson.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Thomas Holcomb Reese, twin sister Loyce Allen, brother Alton (Nikki) Robinson (Sybil); And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Covenant Hospice for their care and compassion.
