Mr. Jose David Roque, 50, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Roque was a native of Galveston, TX, a former resident of Jacksonville, FL for many years and a resident of Jay, FL for the past 5 months. He was a professional landscaper, enjoyed the outdoors and attended the Catholic Church.
Survivors include: his Wife, Theresa Marie Roque of Jay, FL; his Son, Jose David Roque, Jr. (Joy Collins) of Jacksonville, FL; his Daughter, Jamie Marie Lawyer (Tremayne Thompson) of Jacksonville, FL; 4 Grandchildren, Angelina Marie Roque, Jose David Roque, III, Magdelina Roque, and Joaquin Eugene Thompson; five Brothers, Richard Roque (Bee) of Austin, TX, Benny Roque (Crystal) of Hattiesburg, MS, Charles Roque (Angela) of Texas City, TX, Johnny Belasquez of Austin, TX and Carmen Belasquez of Victoria, TX; and five Sisters, Suzy Roque Odom (Greg) of Jay,. FL, Cynthia Trullinger (John) of Iowa, Mary Roque of La Marque, TX, Helen Armendarez (Ben) of Austin, TX, and Ruth Sendejas of La Marque, TX.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. until funeral time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Ervie S Bray

Ervie S Bray, age 84 walked into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 27, 2010. Her loving husband of 35 years, James Howard Bray, was there to welcome her.
She is preceeded in death by her father John Sellers, her mother Ruby Sellers, two brothers Rayford & Charles Sellers, and a sister Atha Hale. She is a native of Monroe County Alabama and a resident of Atmore, AL. She was a member of First Assembly of God of Atmore. She was retired from Vanity Fair.
She is survived by 2 daughters Celene (Pete) Mcghee of Nokomis,AL, Gina (steve) Harrison of Atmore, AL, 5 grandchildren, Keith Griffith, Shawn Brown, Robby Brown, Shaina Brown, and Heather Harrison and three great grandchildren, A brother Archie (Cleo) Sellers of Atmore, A special niece, Vickie Carrie of Atmore and numerous other nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday evening May 29, 2010, at Johnson Quimby Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held Sunday May 30, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in Oakhill Cemetary, Brother Richard Daniels officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith Griffith, Shawn Brown, Robby Brown, Buddy Carrier, Randy Ingram, & Bo Ingram.

Earl “Fred” Jordan

In loving memory, Earl “Fred” Jordan, 68, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Bernice Jordan and brother Richard. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Linda, son Frank (Kat) Jordan of Sampson, Al, son Dale (Jenny) Asberry of Molino, Florida, brother Ronnie (Linda) Jordan of Pace, Florida and many other family and friends as well as his church family.
Fred retired from the Escambia County school system as a diesel mechanic after 33 years of service. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Bluff Springs for 13 years. His first love was God. Fred loved to help people who were in need. He also enjoyed watching car races and fishing.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North in Cantonment until services begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Kevin Hasty and Pastor James Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery in Chumuckla, Florida .Timmy Pugh, Mickey Pariman, Robert Craddle, Kevin Joiner, Steve Plant and Wayne Pugh will serve as pallbearers. The men’s Sunday school class of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and kindness shown during this difficult time. A special thank you goes out to Covenant Hospice of Santa Rosa County and Century Care Center.

Mr. Clarence W. Phillips, 75, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at a Pensacola, FL hospital.
Mr. Phillips was a native and resident of Walnut Hill, FL for most of his life. He was retired from the U.S. Marines after 21 years, a Veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War and attended the Bratt Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by a Brother, Willard Phillips and a Sister, Merlene Sowell.
Survivors include: his Wife Louise Phillips of Walnut Hill, FL; his Son, Jerry D. and Kathryn Phillips of Tallahassee, FL; 2 Grandchildren, Matthew J. Phillips and Trevor L. Phillips; two Brothers, Lindy Phillips of Davisville, FL, and D.L. Phillips of Lillington, NC; and three Sisters, Jean Solomon of Davisville, FL, Ethel Wilcox of Loxley, AL, and Emily Reynolds of Oneonta, AL.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Theron Collinsworth officiating.
Burial will follow at Dry Springs Cemetery.

Linda Cmehil, age 50 of Molino, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010.
Linda was a proud Navy wife and Navy ombudsman. She was a proud mother who was very involved in her children’s lives, volunteering whenever she could. She was quite the craftsperson, making jewelry, paintings, sewing, knitting, needlepoint, ceramics, stained glass and calligraphy.
She was a member of the Molino Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, David White.
Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Andrew Lee Cmehil; son, Trevor Cmehil; daughter, Kathryn Cmehil; parents, William and Gertraud Ernst; two brothers, Timothy Ernst (Tammy) and Steven Ernst (Carolyn).

Miss. Shirley Eyvonne Carden age 57 of Hwy. 31 Flomaton, Alabama passed away early Friday morning May 21, 2010 in a Century, Florida Nursing Facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Brewton, Alabama and a life long resident of Flomaton, Alabama. Miss. Carden was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors: two brothers, Jimmie (Doris) Carden of Flomaton, Alabama and Jack (Linda) Carden of Jay, Florida; two sisters, Bobbie (Sonny) Chavers of Brewton, Alabama and Linda Eddins of Opelika, Alabama; nine nieces and nephews, whom she affectionately called her ‘grandchildren,’ and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday night, May 22, 2010 from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Brewton, Alabama.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday afternoon, May 23, 2010 at 3:00 at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Henderson and Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Luke Bozeman, age 95, of Cantonment, Florida passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2010. Mr. Bozeman was born March 30, 1915 in Covington County, Alabama.
Preceding Mr. Bozeman in death was his wife; Sarah Leona Barrow Bozeman.
Survivors include his daughter; Sarah Juanette Boshears, his son; Luke L. Bozeman, 3 grandchildren; Shawna Upshaw, Jonathan Boshears and Sara Bozeman, 3 great-grandchildren; Alex Groshong, Christian Upshaw and Noah Upshaw
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment with Rev. Ron McGlotheren officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

Peter “Pete” Gindl

Pete Gindl, age 74, of Barrineau Park, Florida passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010. Pete was born December 11, 1935 in Pensacola, Florida. He was a graduate of The University of Auburn and an avid War Eagle fan. Pete served for 24 years on the Escambia County School Board. He was a farmer by trade and also taught for 18 years as an agriculture teacher at Tate High School. He was in the navy reserve and a life time member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Pete was on the Pensacola Interstate Fair Association Board of Directors. He was a past member of the Rotary Club where he received the Paul Harris Award.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years; Sue Wilson Gindl, his daughters; Jeanene Hall (Tony) of Bay Springs, Florida, Lesa Morgan (Teet) of Cantonment, Florida, Nancy Perry (Foye) of Molino, Florida, his sons; Peter Gindl (Donna) of Barrineau Park, Florida and Stephen Gindl (Carmen) of Pace, Florida, grandchildren; Christa Wilson, Jimmy Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Caleb Gindl, Lacie Gindl, Rayla Gindl, Rudy Gindl and Lindsey Gindl, great grandchildren; Jordan Wilson, Cooper Wilson and Owen Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church with Father Thomas Koyickal and Father George Thekkummattahil officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Serving, as pallbearers will be Jimmy Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Caleb Gindl, Rudy Gindl, Will Wilson and Jerry Haupert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pensacola Interstate Fair Board of Directors.

Mr. Jesse D. “J.D.” Rigby, age 95, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at The Meadows Assisted Living in Atmore, Ala. He was born in Oak Grove, Fla. to the late Jesse L. and Evie R. Rigby. He was a farmer and then worked for 21 years as a Deputy with the Escambia County Florida Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of Century Masonic Lodge #213 and the Scottish Rite of Pensacola, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Erma S. Rigby, his parents, and four brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Rigby is survived by his sons, Jesse Wendell and Margo Rigby of Pensacola, Fla., Ronald B. and Suzanne Rigby of Byrneville, Fla.; daughter, Jackie and Billy Darby of Oak Grove, Fla.; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, a sister, Evie R. Hall of Pensacola and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 10a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Rev. Earle Green and Rev. Dennis Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Fla.
The family received friends Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Addie Mae Straughn, age 89, of Molino, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 12.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Davis, Marietta, GA, Laura Holmes, Ruth (Howard) Thomas, John (Tami) and Clifford Straughn; ten grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren; siblings, Pearlie Williams, Bernice (Peter) Scott, Grady (Jean), Velma Wiliams; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 1pm at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Lovelace, Pastor, and Rev. Hamilton of Union Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope PBC Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 12 to 9pm at Joe Morris Funeral Home Monday.
