Willie Green Watford, age 82, of Clanton passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Walter Anderson Watford and Alice Viola Cassidy.
Mr. Watford is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Huggins Watford of Clanton; sons, James Watford of Clanton, Jeffery Watford of Clanton, Robert Watford of Clanton; and daughter, Geneva Garrett of McDavid, Fla.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Rusty Knowles officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in McDavid.

Mrs. Marilyn Capers, 60, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Capers was a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Nokomis, FL since 1967. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Daniel Capers, Sr. of Nokomis, FL; two sons, Daniel and Kara Capers, Jr. of Jackson, AL and Adam and Misty Capers of Jackson, AL; two daughters, Sharon and Jacob Motes of Jackson, AL, and Geneva Capers of Pensacola, FL; eight grandchildren, Kyle Wood, Kody Wood, Hannah Capers, Clarissa Capers, Caleb Motes, Christina Motes, Jonathan Motes and Sarah Capers; six brothers, Joe Lambeth, Kenny Lambeth, Royce Lambeth, Shannon Lambeth, Willie Lambeth and Eddie Mose Lambeth, all of Perdido, AL; and three sisters, Carolyn Stewart of Perdido, AL, Fannie Mae Garrison of Bay Minette, AL, and Joyce Minchew of Perdido, AL.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Ronald Rivers officiating. Burial will follow at Jake’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011, between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home for expenses.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Wood, John Victor, Vincent Lambeth, Vincent Lambeth, Vernon Lambeth and William Philyaw. Honorary pallbearer will be Edward Lambeth.
Nicholas Andrew “Nick” Mathis

Mr. Nicholas Andrew “Nick” Mathis, 27, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011, in Century.
Mr. Mathis was a native and lifelong resident of Century. He was an avid fisherman, loved racing and shooting pool, enjoyed helping others and being a help mate for his father. He attended the Baptist church. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Annie Mae Mathis.
Survivors include his father, Bobby Mathis of Century; his mother, Sabrina Medlock of Orlando; a brother, Dennis Mathis of Century; his grandparents, Carlton and Susie Medlock of Milton, and Wilbur and Margaret Levins of Byrneville; a special uncle, Jimmy Mathis of Century; a great-aunt, Chiquita “Coot” and Jr. Mathis of Century; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Dervin Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011, from 6-9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Bessie Lou Taylor Middleton

Mrs. Bessie Lou Taylor Middleton, 93, of Shoffner Street in East Brewton, AL, passed away Saturday morning February 26, 2011, at a local nursing facility after a brief illness.
Mrs. Middleton was a native of Lyeffion, AL, and a former resident of Monroeville before moving to Escambia County over 60 years ago. She was a homemaker and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by a son, Julius (Marolyn) Middleton of Jay; three daughters – Emmie (Jack) Smith of Castleberry, AL; Ernestine (Dennis) Snell of Dothan, AL; Brenda (Larry) Harrison of Jay; two sisters – Jeanette (Frank) Stoshak of Brewton; Peggy Mitz of Wilmington, NC; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Middleton.
Visitation will be Monday February 28, 2011, from noon until a 1 p.m. service time at Craver’s Funeral Home Inc,.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Lou Taylor Middlteon are scheduled for Monday February 28, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Ed Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton, with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Elsie C. Phillips went to be with the Lord February 23, 2011.
She was a long time Pensacola resident. She was born on September 18, 1913 in Century, FL to Edna Howell Coleman and Arthur Hemby Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon E. Phillips.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Dr. Ann M. Southerland (Brad), William V. Phillips (Joann), Joe C. Phillips (Glenda), and Jack C. Phillips (Judy) all of Pensacola. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of Scenic Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd. Services will be conducted by Dr. Barry Howard. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Sandy Southerland, Scott Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Phil Phillips, Dale Eade and Matthew Hopkins.

Michael “Dexter” Fairley

Michael “Dexter” Fairley was born January 24, 1957, to Columbus and Earnestine Fairley. He completed his assignment on February 22, 2011.
He was a member of Greater First Baptist Church of Cantonment. He received Christ later on in life. He received his education through the Escambia County Public School System.
He was a volunteer for the Cantonment Fire Department and retired from the Escambia County School Board.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Earnestine Fairley; grandmother, Omar Kirkland; great-grandmother, Pamela Ballard; and a sister, Leatha Fairley.
He was adored by his loving wife, Jacqueline Albritton-Fairley, and still leaves to honor his memory seven children, Conika and Michael Yates, Kevin Nelson, Marcus Fairley, Mychela Albritton, Kendra Tanner, and Keaundra Feagin. He is also survived by his father, Columbus Fairley; one brother, Tony Fairley; seven sisters, Carolyn Phillips, Wanda (Roy) Clements, Pamela (Charles) Robinson, Darlene Jones, Cornelius Warren, Robbie (Kenny) Warren, Sue Fairley; one sister-in-law, Wanda Albritton; nine grandchildren; one God-granddaughter; one uncle; two aunts; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Greater First Baptist Church of Cantonment, with Rev. Lawrence Robinson, officiating, Rev. Kenneth Jessie, Intrium Pastor. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Janice Wright, 72, of Milton passed away February 23, 2011 with her family beside her.
She was a member of Joy Bible Baptist Church for the past 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Eunice Wright; her husband of 31 years, Robert L. Wright, Sr. and her son, Edward R. McConnell, Jr.
Janice is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Robert) Case of Washington and Teresa (Kenny) Jordan of Milton; three brothers, Raymond Wright of Molino, J.B. Wright of Crestview, and Dickie Wright of Molino; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday February 25, 2011 at 2 PM at the Chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society with Brother Tommy Danley officiating with Mr. Kenny Jordan, Son-in-law, presenting the eulogy. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until the service hour. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice of Milton.
Following the service the family would like to invite everyone to their home at 5612 Jones Street, Milton.

Mrs. Donna B. Peebles, 51, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Peebles was a native of Pascagoula, MS and a resident of Bratt for the past 24 years. She was an employee of West Florida Medical Center Clinic, a pastor’s wife of the Molino First Assembly of God Church, and a member of the Bratt Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Ricky Peebles of Bratt; two sons, Jason and Jennifer Peebles of Walnut Hill,and Jarrod and Jean Peebles of Bratt; five granddaughters, Liberty Peebles, Gabbie Peebles, Memory Peebles, Dakota Peebles and Rebecca Peebles; and three sisters, Tammy Harper of Pensacola, Anita Sanchez of Duluth, GA, and Marcie Andrews of Pensacola.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bratt Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Ronald Broadhead, the Rev. Theron Collinsworth, and the Rev. Bobby Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.

Elma McCurdy Calloway, 88, passed from this life peacefully to be with the Lord on February 18, 2011 in her home surrounded by family.
She was born November 30, 1922 in Centur. She married Comer Lee Calloway on September 5, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2000. She was loved by everyone who knew her and brought joy to the life of her family and friends. She was a dedicated Christian and member of Olive Baptist Church.
She was also preceeded in death by daughter Judy Ann Calloway on March 21, 1964. She is survived by her son Glen Lee Calloway and Belinda of McDavid, a special niece Joan Ward and husband Richard of Pensacola.
Two grandchildren Kerrie Pope and husband Burnie of Coleman, Texas, Jason Calloway and Carla of Baird, Texas, four great grandchildren, Heather Torres, Lacey Stewart, Brittany and Brandon Calloway, one great great grandchild Raylee Stewart, many friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment with Rev. Eugene Steele officiating. Serving, as pallbearers will be Richard Ward, Jerry Wood, Ronny Wood, Jerry Martin, Billy McCurdy and Phil Talbert. Family will have visitors on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Cemetery.

Suzanne Supplee, age 63 of Molino, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011. She was born November 25, 1947 in Bellaire, Ohio and raised in Elm Grove, WV. Suzanne lived the past 17 years in Molino.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Harley Owners Group and ABATE of Florida. She retired from Hertz-Rent-A-Car December 31, 2010 after 15 years of service. She was a member of Westwood Christian Church.
Suzanne is survived by her husband Blair Supplee; son Robert J. Stone (Danielle Stone); brother, Joseph Fatigati; nieces, Lynn Maguir and Jill Robbins; step daughter Nikelle White; stepson, Christopher Supplee; grandsons, Robert J. Stone II, Hunter Stone, Rilee and Reed Supplee, Ethan Supplee, and Crystopher Collins; granddaughters, Elaina Supplee, Taylor Collins, and McKenzie White; sister-in-law, Edrie Wellington.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Faith Chapel North Funeral, 1000 Highway 29 Cantonment with Bill Flannigan officiating.
