Ms. Carla Gohagin Wasdin, 46, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Atmore.
Ms. Wasdin was a native of Fort Seal, OK, and a resident of Atmore for most of her life. She was an employee of Wind Creek Casino, a loving mother and grandmother, loved gardening and flowers and attended the baptist church.
She is survived by her fiance’, Jim Lovell of Atmore; her daughter, Mallory Wasdin and Randall Rolin of Huxford; two grandchildren, Brodie Rolin and Autumn Rolin; father, Carlos and Faye Gohagin of Huxford; mother, Jeanette and Kenneth Baggett of Walnut Hill; three stepbrothers, Michael Baggett of Robertsdale, Tim Baggett of Summerdale, and Kenny Baggett of Tampa; a sister, Neely and Gary Baggett of Walnut Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with Bro. Mark Peacock officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Baggett, Gary Baggett, Tim Baggett, A.L. Thrower, Bob Corrzana, Jerry Johnson and Doug Emmons.
Shirley F. Martin

Mr. Shirley F. Martin, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at a Mobile hospital.
Mr. Martin was a native of Troy, Ala., a former resident of Atmore and a resident of Stockton, Ala. for the past two years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, owned and operated the Martin Timber Company and attended the Methodist church.
He was Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gibbs Martin.
Survivors include his son, Dan Steven and Pamela Martin of Gulf Shores; his daughter, Mitzi and Allen Thomas of Atmore; one grandchild, Kimberly Walker; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Walker and Austin Walker; two brothers, Carol Martin of Atmore, and Douglas Martin of Bratt; and two sisters, Lillie Goleman of Bell Fountain, Ala., and Shelby Hatcher of Atmore.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Serenity Garden Cemetery with the Rev. Homer Stewart officiating and Petty Funeral Homes, LLC directing.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 16, 2011, from 6-9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Martin, Harold Martin, Bobby Martin, Greg Martin, Benjamin Martin and Michael Chavers.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the VFW.
Thomas James Gunn

Thomas James Gunn, of Molino, a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, husband, and son, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, May 14, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.
Originally from Clarksville, IN, he resided in Molino after 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Tommy spent his last few weeks at his home surrounded by friends and family. He was a very loving, hardworking, devoted, caring man who was very special to all of us. His kindness and giving heart will forever be in our hearts and memories.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Linda; his mother, Carolyn Gunn; his sister, Judy Blalock (Gerald); his brother, Jerry Gunn, all of Clarksville, IN; three daughters, Tawnya Hysinger (Lyle) of Simpsonville, KY; Tamara Dunn (Joel) of Molino, and Krissey Hilliard (Johnathon) of Pensacola; son, Thomas James Gunn II of Molino; six grandchildren, Blake & Summer Dunn, Brennan & Kaelynn Hilliard, Will Hysinger, and Jordan Larson. Thomas had many nieces and nephews who all loved and enjoyed his company.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home, 1000 Hwy 29 Cantonment, with Rev. Donald Huntsman officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel North from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17.
Audrey Kate Kizer

Audrey Kate Kizer, 89 of Atmore, died Saturday May 14, 2011, at her son’s residence. She was retired from Vainty Fair Mills as a seamstress She was born on September 28, 1921 in Atmore to the late John and Lula Ward Owens. She was an active member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church, and will long be remembered as one that played the harmonica.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Pete Kizer, Son, Andy Kizer, and a daughter, Louise Arguliz.
She is survived by one son, Foster Kizer of Atmore; two daughters, Carolyn Everette of Atmore, Frances Hartzog of Prattville; a special sister-in-law, Marie Owens of Atmore; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday May 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dianne Everette officiating. Interment will follow in Canoe Freewill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Scott Everette, Richard Everette, Delane Hartzog, Adam Hartzog, Michael Gunn and Rodney Owens.
Family will receive friends, Monday May 16, 2011, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time.
Theodore “Ted” Delma Wolfe

Theodore “Ted” Delma Wolfe has gone home to be with the Lord. He was a native of Escambia County and a resident of Roberstdale. He was a 30-year master carpenter and local fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Wolfe of Robertsdale; two daughters, JoLene “Babygirl” Wolfe of Pace and Jeannie Wolfe Hansen of V irginia Beach, VA; four sons, Waylon Wolfe of Cantonment, Aaron Wolfe of Cantonment, , Jamie Wolfe of TX, and Ted Calen Wolfe of Milton; two step-daughters, Donna Martin of Flomaton, and Kristen Halls of Pensacola; stepson, William Nosay of Crestview; brother, Terry Wolfe of Robertsdale; stepbrother, Beau Walker of Missouri; sister, Mary Amerson of Jay; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Wolfe will be held at Molino Fairgrounds boat launch on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. Cookout and stories to be shared afterwards (casual attire, please).

Leonard Ray Miller

Leonard Ray Miller, age 77, of Robertsdale, Alabama passed away Friday, May 13, 2011.
Mr. Miller was born in Kansas City, KS and was a graduate of Kansas State University. He was a former chief of Lillian, Alabama Volunteer Fire Department, and president of the Tate High School Quarterback Club. Leonard was proudly served in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves.
Survivors include his son, Rodney Miller and his wife Ginny, son, Alan Miller and his wife Christy, daughter, Deanne Sanderson and her husband David, son, David Miller and his wife Allison, daughter, Tina Workman and her husband Mike, grandchildren, Dr. Michael Miller and his wife Nicole, Matthew Miller, Daniel and Jessica Miller, Kristen and Kacey Miller, Susie, Brooke, Mitchell Hoover, Joshua and Brittany Moye, Michael Sanderson, Tristan Workman and Isaac Miller, 4 great grandchildren, Kash Brown, Aubrey and Stella Miller and Hallie Rogers, his brother, Donald Miller and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Irene and Nelson Miller, his wife Doris Purser, sister, Linette Small and his daughter-in-law, Susan Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment with Rev. Drayton Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice.

Dorothy Jean “Dot” Blanchett, age 74, of Cantonment, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011.
Dot was born in McCormick, South Carolina, and was a member of Victory Assembly. She loved to bowl, work in her flower garden and crochet. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Wayne Blanchett; daughters, Deby Slack and her husband Ben; Jennifer Jackson and Mark, grandchildren; Wayne Slack and his wife Carla, Carlie Severin, Derek Slack and Abbie Huff, one great grandchild; Cade Severin; and a sister; Glenda Briley.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Joyce LaWayne Blanchett; great grandson, Aiden Riley Henry; her parents, Eugene and Thelma Brown; and her sister, Nina Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 16, 2011,at Victory Assembly with Pastor Jeff McKee and Rev. Lee Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, May 15, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mary Ferrell Hall, 87, of Cantonment, Florida, made her transition Friday, May 6, 2011, at 9:11 am.
A native of Graham, NC, Mrs. Hall resided in Cantonment for the past five years. Mrs. Hall is loved by all, a true woman of Grace and Faith.
Preceding Mrs. Hall’s passing were her parents, Rev. Wiley & Elsie Ferrell, six siblings Patrick, Elsie, Diane, Clayborne, Peggy and Opal, and husbands Jim Hall and PD Freeman.
Survivors include her daughter Carolyn (Jim) Vary, her sister Doris Coltrane, her grandchildren Sonya (Mark) Snyder and Mike (Larren) Truitt, four great grandchildren Chris and Brianna Snyder and PFC Corey (Brooke) and Jourdan (Devin) Truitt, and one great great grandchild McKenzie Truitt.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Dr. Will Stone and Rev. Larry Huff officiating from Cantonment
First Baptist Church.
After the memorial service, a open house will be held at Carolyn and Jim Vary’s home, 2385 Bur Oak Drive, Cantonment, Florida.

Reuben B Ard, Jr, age 53, left his family to go be with the Lord. Reuben was a resident of Molino, Florida, and a general contractor in Escambia County.
He left behind his dear loved ones including his wife, Darlene Ard; son Reuben B Ard, III of Montana; daughter Montana Ard of Molino, four grandchildren; Walter, 6, Cooper, 5, Corbin ,3, Caden, 2; mother Ann Penton, stepfather Gerald Penton all of Cantonment; eight siblings, Joyce Drake, Diane Ard, Sue Krochta, Wayne Ard, Joseph Ard, Julie Ard, James Ard and Jodie Ard; and several nieces and nephews.
Reuben had a lot of friends and touched a lot of hearts to be happy that he has left us all to go be with the Lord. He will be truly loved and missed by each and everyone who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 13, 201, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment. Interment will follow at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.

Timothy Dalton Wilson, age 18, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Timothy was born October 15, 1992 in Pensacola, Florida. He was a 2010 graduate of West Florida High School of Advanced Technology. Timothy liked to call himself “The Captain”. He was the pirate of his own ship. Though, due to the storms, squalls, and hurricanes, his ship is now at rest. Timothy was a very honest, witty and intelligent one, that Timothy Dalton. Full of jokes, music, lyrics and energy drinks. He will be forever loved and forever remembered but never forgotten. Son, there will be a whole in our hearts forever, rest in Gods hands.
Survivors include his parents Timothy L. and Lisa G. Wilson; his sister, Jacqueline Wilson; his grandparents Alfred and Juanita O’Connor and Henry and Bea Frunk along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at CrossFaith Church in Molino with Rev. Fred Stallworth and Rev. Rob Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery.
