Mrs. Susan Beatrice Boutwell Emmons, 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in Pensacola.
Mrs. Emmons was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton and attended the Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Vernon Emmons, an infant daughter, grandson George Thomas Emmons, a sister, and seven brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Steve and Ann Emmons, Sr. of Flomaton, and Ray and Peggy Emmons of Prattville, AL; six grandchildren, Steve Emmons, Jr., Mandy Bondurant, Tiffany Emmons, Dixie Emmons, Amy Turk and Dewayne Kervin; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Emmons, Skye Kervin, Anna Brown, and Paige Turk; two brothers, Coy Boutwell of Flomaton, and Alvoid Boutwell of McCullough, AL; and two sisters, Melba Lambert of Atmore and Marie McMillan of East Brewton.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 21, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Johnson, the Rev. Ray Bass, and the Rev. Patricia Bruner officiating.
Burial will follow at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2011, from 6-9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Zadie Baggett

Mrs. Zadie Baggett, 91, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011, at home in Uriah, AL.
Mrs. Baggett was a native and lifelong resident of Uriah. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers, her family and friends, enjoyed fishing and attended the Mineola Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Baggett, a daughter, Bonnie Lou Baggett, a son, Douglas Baggett, and a grandson, Trey Massingill.
She is survived by four sons, Roy and Evie Baggett of Atmore, William and Janice Baggett of Lottie, , Ronald and Linda Baggett of Little Rock, AL, and Kenny and Patricia Baggett of Uriah; four daughters, Bobbie Stinson of Frisco City, Mary Ann and Edward Stewart of Georgiana, AL, Sharon and Sam Turberville of Uriah, and Lois Baggett of Frisco City; 20 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at noon the Mineola Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony McMillan, the Rev. David Cooper, and the Rev. George Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow at Mineola Cemetery with Petty Funeral Home in Atmore directing. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 18, 2011, at her home in Uriah, AL.
Pallbearers will be D.J. House, Chance Baggett, Rex Baggett, Josh Baggett, Larry Ikner and Keith Turberville. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Ikner, Chris Ikner, Stewart Ikner, Gary Baggett, Jacob Baggett and Kevin Turberville.
Linda Faye Glenn Amerson

Mrs. Linda Faye Glenn Amerson, 66, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011, in Bratt.
Mrs. Amerson was born and raised in Byrneville and was a resident of Bratt. She married her beloved husband, Tucson at the age of 17, worked as an industrial nurse for Vanity Fair Mills for 22 years. She was a devout Christian..
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tucson E. Amerson of Bratt; three daughters, Adrianna and Chuck Ellis of Bratt, Tammy Amerson-Parrish of Bratt, and Michelle and Allen Driskell of Byrneville; seven grandchildren, Wesley and Bonnie Maughon, Colton Maughon, Hannah Ellis, Blaize Parrish, Drake Driskell, Maddie Driskell, and Cody Ellis; two great-grandchildren, Emily Maughon and Greyson Maughon; two brothers, Danny Glenn of Perdido, AL, and Roy Glenn of LA; and five sisters, Charlene Cruz, Wessie Rowel, and Judy Phillips, all of Jacksonville, Donna Reaves of Christian Home and Edna Thornton of Byrneville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Knowles officiating.
Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2011 between 5:30 and 9:00 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Lomond Clary

Lomond Clary, 75, of Molino, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, surrounded by loved ones. Lomond was born on August 31, 1936, in Crestview, to Essie Lou (McCurley) and Glenville Gray Clary. Lomond grew up in Laurel Hill, Florida. He attended Auburn University and, in 1973, he settled with his wife and children in Molino, where he lived most of his life.
In 1991, Lomond retired from Monsanto Chemical Plant after 36 years of service. He retired as a Research Chemical Technician, and spent the majority of his career “on the hill”.
Lomond enjoyed the outdoor life of fishing and farming, riding his tractor, feeding his fish and loved college football. He had many hobbies over the years, but his passion was spending time with his family. Lomond always had a smile on his face. He was a very loving man, a mentor and teacher to all, best friend to many, an excellent father and grandfather, and he will be truly missed and held in our hearts forever.
Lomond leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 43 years, Carolyn (Jackson) Clary, of Molino; sons Ronald Wayne Penney and Glenville Grant Clary, (Tracy); daughter Kimberly Clary Thomas (Scott); grandchildren Brooklyn, Nicholas, Kallie, Devan, Emily, Mollye, Raven Gray, Jewelianna; a great granddaughter Ryleigh; two nephews, Gary and Terry Clary and his father-in-law, Charles E. Jackson, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Glenville Eugene Clary.
Services will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola. The Family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011, and a Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011.

Joey Dewayne Kelley, 50, died October 11, 2011. He was a native of Brewton and later moved to Atmore.
He owned several business including the Strand Theater, Joey’s Furniture, Kelley’s Ambulance Service, Whistle Stop Grill, Advance Printing Company, a construction business and other ventures.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Sylvester Kelley; his mother, Mary Aline Johnson; and a brother, Tom Johnson.
He is survived by three sons, Chad Wayne (Evelyn) Kelley of Winchester, CA, Christopher Adam Kelley of Atmore, Austin Suede Dakota “Cody” Mooney of Pensacola; three daughters, Jennifer Necole Daw, Chasity Kelley (David) Daniel, and Tiffany Denise Davis, all of Atmore; four grandchildren, Damon, Beau, Crimson and Aidan; his fiancé, Robin Cofield; one sister, Francis Hildreth of Andalusia; three brothers, Ed Gibson and Carl Kelley, both of Andalusia and Albert Kelley of Atmore.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 19 at 1 p.m. at the Strand Theatre on South Main Street in Atmore. The family requests that donations be made to a memorial fund in honor of Joey Kelley at United Bank in lieu of flowers.

Charlotte McDonald, age 65 of Atmore died October 15, 2011, in Pensacola. She was a receptionist with United Bank. She was born in Flomaton. to Charles F. and Mary Catherine Brown Jordon.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Resso.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Doodle” McDonald of Atmore; two sons, Mark Wayne McDonald of Atmore, Jason Wade McDonald and wife, Tracey of Pensacola., two brothers, Clarence Jordon of Phoenix, AZ and Donald Jordon of Flomaton; and five special grandbabies: Alex, Aaron, Bryant, Jackson, and Mathew.
Services will be Tuesday October 18, 2011, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis officiating, Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Gibson, Rev. Ted Bridges, Eddie Baker, Butch Black, Steve White, and David Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

John Duane Flowers, Sr. 49 of Nokomis, AL, died Saturday October 15, 2011, at his residence. He was a general agriculture manager with Poarch Band of Creek Indians for 19 years. He was born in Atmore on November 10, 1961, to Clark Winston and Martha Jean Jones Flowers.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clark Winston Flowers and one Brother, Michael G. Flowers.
He is survived by his wife, Becky O. Flowers; his mother, Martha Flowers; two sons, “Little” John Flowers, and Trey G. Flowers; and one daughter, Telecia Flowers Swearingen all of Nokomis; two brothers, Chuck Flowers of Foley and Jimmy Flowers and wife, Kim of Nokomis; one sister, Janet Prince and husband, Major of Mobile; two grandchildren, Wyatt Duane Swearingen and Presley Michael Swearingen; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday October 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ray Ward and Rev. Don Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Nokomis

John Francis Hartman, Jr., 63, of Cantonment, FL died Thursday. October 13, 2011.
John was born on November 29, 1947 in Rochester, NY to Helen (Smith) and John Francis Hartman, Sr. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. He graduated from PJC. In 2008, John retired from Escambia County after 29 years of service. He retired as acting assistant county administrator, but spent the majority of his career in facilities management. John had many hobbies over the years, but his passion over the past 13 years was golf.
His parents, brothers Bruce and Tommy Hartman and infant daughter Diane Renee preceded him in death.
John is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Louise Hartman of Cantonment; son, John Thomas Hartman (Michele) of Woodbridge, VA; daughter, Tina Louise Pierce (Scott) of Cantonment; grandchildren; Maxwell, Allyssa, Nathaniel, Kimberly, Taylor and Claire; great grandchild, Lucas; brothers, Frank and James Hartman of Rochester, NY.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating.

Miss Meagan Hope Wilburn, 9, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at a Pensacola hospital.
Meagan was a native of Fayetteville, NC, and a resident of Walnut Hill for most of her life. She was a happy and loving child, a straight-A student, and member of the math team at Bratt Elementary School and attended the Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Rebekah Wilburn of Walnut Hill; her father, James Wilburn of Hot Springs, AR; a brother, Tyler Love of Bedford, TX; a sister, Cailee Wilburn of Walnut Hill; her grandparents, Gordon and Zena Freeman of Walnut Hill, and Deborah Wilburn of Amity, AR; a great-grandmother, Darlynne Bishop of New Hampshire; uncles Michael Wilburn of Hot Springs, AR, Bryan Wilburn of Holland, MI, Clint Freeman of Atlanta and Andrew Freeman of Walnut Hill; and aunts Tammy Wilburn of Hartford, MI, and Tammy Freeman of Atlanta.

Sam Tichi, Jr., age 80 of Davisville died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in Pensacola.
He was born on April 8, 1931, in Atmore to the late Samuel and Anna Oetken Tichi. He was a graduate of Ernest Ward High School and served 20 years in the United States Air Force. He operated Tichi Garage for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Tichi of Davisville; two daughters, Anna Bauman of Wasilla, AK, And Dr. LeeAnn McGill of Orange Beach; and one granddaughter, Courtney C. Bauman.
Services will be Saturday October 15, 2011, at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with Rev. C.L. Langford and Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Barren Cemetery at Davisville with full military honors.
