Kenneth Murray Nolin

Mr. Kenneth Murray Nolin, age 53, a native of Flomaton,and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Tuesday November 8, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. Mr. Nolin worked as a chemical engineer and was a lifelong University of Alabama football fan and had a love for all competitive sports. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Zin Nolin.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ochomogo Nolin of Baton Rouge, LA; mother, Merle Nolin of Flomaton; daughters, Jennifer(Brian) McDonald of Monroeville and Jessica (Todd) Levins of Byrneville; step-sons, Anselmo Rodriguez and Oswaldo (Whitney) Rodriguez, both of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers, David (Jo) Nolin of Flomaton, Douglas (Barbara) Nolin of Mobile, and Steve Nolin of Vancouver, WA; and five grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Murray Nolin will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Flomaton First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Dr. Jerry Keese and Rev. Dustin Stockstill officiating. Interment will follow in Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Monroe ‘Kemp’ Moore, Sr.

Mr. Monroe ‘Kemp’ Moore, Sr., 70 of Century passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at his home. He was a lifetime resident of the Century community and a 1958 graduate of Century High School where he was captain of the Century Blackcats football team.
During his working years, he worked at Wayne Dalton Doors as a supervisor and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United states Army having served in the 101st Airborne where he was wounded in service. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and he is preceded in death by his parents, Paul W. and Myrtle Gill Moore,Sr.; his wife of 42 years, Sylvia Grimes Moore; sisters, Edna Garrett and Helen McCrary.
He is survived by his sons, Monroe Kemp (Marian) Moore, Sr. of Byrneville, Dabney (Dana) Langhorne of McDavid, and Steve (Frances) Langhorne of Cedar Creek, TX; brothers, John G. Moore of Arkansas and Paul W. ‘Pete’ Moore, Jr. of Bluff Springs; sisters, Hazel Boyarski of Panama City, and Margaret Creamer of Byrneville; grandchildren, Thomas and Jackson Moore of Byrneville, Justin Langhorne of Castorville, TX, and Jesse Langhorne of Clear Lake Oaks, CA, Darbi and Dabney Langhorne of McDavid; and great grandchilden, Nora and Natalie Langhorne of Castorville, TX.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 10 a.m. and will continue until service time at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mitch Herring and Rev. Benny Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Beulah Chapel Cemetery in Byrnevile.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Moore, Dabney Langhorne, Rodney Grimes, Larry Stuckey, Will Stuckey and Jackson Moore.
Robert ‘Bobby Woods’ Quinton Edwards

Mr. Robert ‘Bobby Woods’ Quinton Edwards, age 78 of Century, passed away at his home on Monday, November 7, 2011. Mr. Edwards was a native of Flomaton, but spent his lifetime living in Century and was a member of the Byrneville United Methodist Church. Mr Edwards was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Maggie Woods.
He is survived by his brother, Gilbert Edward Woods of New Mexico; sisters Ruby Gail Clary of Century, and Betty Woods (E.J.) Deubler of Harvey, LA; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, November 8, 2011, at the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be November 9, 2011, with graveside at 11 a.m. at Byrneville United Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Chris Hawkins officiating.
Linda Faye Morris Ard

Mrs. Linda Faye Morris Ard, 64, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, in Century.
Mrs. Ard was a native and lifelong resident of Century. She was a retired employee from Vanity Fair Mills and attended Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Troy Ard.
Survivors include her son, Bryon Ard of McDavid; three grandchildren, Sydney Ard, Troy Ard and Kendal Ard; and a brother, Larry Morris of McDavid.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at Ray’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2011, from 6-9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Elaine Dean

Mrs. Elaine Dean, 84 of Flomaton passed away on October 29, 2011, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Dean was a member of the Flomaton community since 1947, coming from Atmore. She was a homemaker and had worked as a dispatcher for Flomaton City Hall, secretary for the Flomaton First Baptist Church and as bookkeeper for Western Auto.
She is survived by her husband, Judson Dean of Flomaton; sons, Wayne Allen and Gay Dyess-Dean of Atlanta and Larry Eugene and Debora Dean of Pensacola.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, November 1, 2011, at the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Jerry Keese officiating at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Flomaton Cemetery.
Jimmy O. Unruh

Jimmy O. Unruh, 86, of Pensacola passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011. Mrs. Unruh was born on December 16, 1924, in Pensacola and was a graduate of Tate High School. She worked for 30 years for Field Enterprises Educational (World Book Encyclopedias). She was a member of Northridge Church and loved the Lord above everything else. Jimmy loved jokes and stories, reciting poems, playing piano, reading books, puzzles, giving gifts and making dinners.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Roy Unruh, Sr.; son, Elmer Roy Unruh, Jr.; sisters, Eleanor Caro, Hazel Garrett and Julia Shofner.
Survivors include her sons, James Unruh (Marsha) and Rodney Unruh (Erin); her sisters, Violet Hogan, Doris Rose (Syd), Betty Ray (Sid) and Gwen Thompson (Weegie); grandchildren, Clint Capp, Ben Unruh, Kevin Unruh and Megan along with a great grandchild, Owen Unruh.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Charles Stanford and Darryl Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Gonzalez United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Julia Manor of Pensacola, Florida, died October 28, 2011.
She was born April 04, 1927, at Molino, the daughter of Jesse and Ola Linton Nicholson. Julia was a 1945 graduate of Pensacola High School. She was united in marriage with Reese L. Manor on April 27, 1952. This union produced two children, Christine of Rockville MD, and David of Orlando. Other survivors are two brothers, Jesse Nicholson of Pace and Eugene Nicholson of Pace.
Julia was a member of Plainview Baptist Church and was retired from U. S. Civil Service. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clyde; sisters, Margaret, Clara, Carrie, Ola Mae, Shirley and Dorothy and her husband Reese.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend William Flannigan officiating.
Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

Margie Louise Shiver, age 80, of Milton, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at a local hospital. Mrs. Shiver was a native of Flomaton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie T. Shiver; son, Ervin Shiver; mother and father James and Nancy White; brother, James V. White.
Louise is survived by; three grandsons, Casey Shiver, Steve Shiver and Mickey Shiver; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Burnette Prim of Flomaton, and Laverne Minchew of Pensacola; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and services will be on Wednesday, November 3, 2011 at 2p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. Bro. Mitch Herring will be the officiating minister.

Adaline Josephine McAuther was born August 13, 1925 in Molino and went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at 1:10 pm on Saturday, October 29.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Patrick; her parents, Joe and Minnie McAuther; five sisters Mae Cartwright, Ada Glass, Elvelyn Brown and Callie Ward all of Molino and Allie Sanders of Pensacola; two brothers, Willie McAuther and John T. McAuther of Pensacola; and her grandson, Kevin Edmonson of Molino.
Survivors include her children, Peggy Britt (Doug), Linda Edmonson (Gene) and Roger Little all of Molino; a sister and brother-in-law, Verndean and Tommy Enfinger of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren, Pam Goether (David), Paula Allen (Fred), Don Edmonson (Angie), Lynn and Toby Wallace, Melanie and Rusty Knowles, Darla and Donnie Barden all of Molino, Regina and Stephen Mosley of Pace, Denette and Steve Nowlin, Dewayne Little and Darrell and Nola Little all of Molino; 23 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 201, at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Pastor George W. Marlow officiating.

Chief Dale George Forbes, USN (ret), 69, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011, in Atmore.
Mr. Forbes was born April 24, 1942, in Minot, ND, to George and Edith Carroll Forbes and has been a resident of Atmore since 1984. He was retired from the U.S. Navy Fleet Reserve, was a member of the VFW, was retired from the State of Alabama Department of Corrections after 20 years and was the manager of the Atmore Motocross where he became known as “PawPaw” to all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William “Bill” Forbes and a grandson, Michael Clemmons.
Survivors include his wife, Merlene Forbes of Atmore; three sons, Tyland and Pam Forbes of Bay Minette; Gregory and Lisa Forbes of Atmore; and Jeffery and Tonya Thayer of Perdido; three daughters, Tammy and Jerry Lloyd, and Kim and Craig Watson, both of Brewton; and Lynn and Aaron Rhodes of Bay Minette; three stepsons, Richard and Pam Moye of Bay Minette; Rondel and Karen Moye of Sharon, SC; and Robert and Janice Moye of Century; a stepdaughter, Regina and James Hare of Walnut Hill; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Evie Forbes of Eagle Point, OR, and Roland and Loretta Forbes of Ada, OK; three sisters, Eileen Brummond of Granville, ND; Ellen Hedstrand of Minot, ND and Leone and Arland Brummond of Laramie, WY; two special sisters-in-law, Annette Jones and Bettie Odom; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends and neighbors, L.
