Mr. Jerry Leon Kilcrease, 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, in Brewton.
He was a native of Plant City, FL, and a resident of Opp for many years before moving to Stanley Crossroads 27 years ago. He attended the West County Line Baptist Church.
He was receded in death by his father, Jerry M. Kilcrease; his wife, Mary Frances Kilcrease; abBrother, Tom Kilcrease and asSister, Lanora Hollinghead..
He is survived by two sons, Jerry William ‘Sonny’ Kilcrease of Opp, and Woody Leon (Angie) Kilcrease of Brewton; three daughters, Janna Darlene (Edward) Russell of Andalusia, Penni Marie (Paul) Jay of Uriah, and Peggy Sue (Bobby) Lane of Atmore; his mother, Ether Kilcrease of Atmore; 14 grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy Kilcrease of Perdido.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, at 2 p.m. at the West County Line Baptist Church with Brother James Kilpatrick and Brother Edward Russel officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Shelby Ann Seals

Ms. Shelby Ann Seals, 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at a Pensacola hospital.
Ms. Seals was a native of Monroeville, a former resident of Atmore, a resident of Walnut Hill for a number of years and attended the Protestant church. .
Survivors include her friend, A.E “Gene” Cassady of Davisville; four brothers, Kenny Jordan of Atmore, Tommy Jordan of Nokomis, AL, Howard Jordan of Atmore, and Donald Jordan of Little River, AL; a half-brother, Calvin Jordan of Molino; and her sister, Nancy Jernigan of Barnett Crossroads, AL.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 13, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Hall officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Casey Jordan, Scotty Jordan, Cole Jordan, Matt Jernigan, Shannon Peebles and Brandon Peebles.
Wilma Mixon

Wilma Mixon, age 92 0f Jay, passed away with her family by her side on January 11, 2012, at Jay Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Jay, born on September 26, 1919. Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a member of Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Her parents, George and Emma McArthur; husband, bob Mixon; daughter, Kay Mixon Ware; and her brother, Cal McArthur, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Deana (John) Pittman and Anthony Ware of Jay; great-grandchildren Haley, Riley and Nicholas Pittman of Jay; brother, Burton McArthur;
sister, Midge (Don) Adams of Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; and her adopted daughter, Mary Lou Colling.
Pallbearers will be Roy Brown, Mickey Brown, Ron Golden, Don Lewis, Hugh Campbell and Jason Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben West, Don West, Hayward Prescott, Bill Canon, Mark McNamara, Jeremy Roberts and Jeffrey Roberts.
Visitation will be held Friday January 13, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. with Sam Dyer III, Seventy and Bruce Terry, Seventy officiating. . Both services will be held at Jay Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Berrydale Community of Christ Church Cemetery.

Raleigh Richard Lindsey, 67 of Atmore, died Monday January 9, 2012 at his residence. He worked 32 years with the Madison (WI) School System. He was born on April 29, 1944, to Thomas Henry and Emma Dean Holden Lindsay, in Shelbyville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Henry Lindsay and a daughter, DeeDee Lindsey.
He is survived by hi mother, Emma Dean Lindsay of Atmore; one son, Charles,”Chuck” Lindsey of Madison, WI; one brother, Roger Lindsay of Atmore; a half-sister, Nelda Dean Terry of Irving, TX; and one granddaughter.
Graveside service will be Thursday January 12, 2012, at noon with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating at Lindsey Cemetery in Booneville.
Family will receive friends, Thursday January 12, 2012, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore from 10-11 a.m.

Mr. Phillip Burte Victor, Jr., 36, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012, in Harrisonburg, LA.
Mr. Victor was a native and resident of Christian Home for most of his life and attended the Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, Phillip Burte Victor, Sr. of Christian Home; two sons, Phillip Burte “Little Phil” Victor, III and Dakota Randolph Victor, both of Cantonment; two sisters, Rachel Victor Owens of Atmore and Veronica Nowling of Pace; and his best friend and companion, Norma Cupp of Winnsboro, LA.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Floyd and the Rev. Alfred Long officiating.
Burial will follow at Christian Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be James Victor, Colin Owens, Timothy Victor, Eric Merchant, Ronnie Merchant and Dennis Comalander.

Shirley Bibb Whittaker

Shirley Bibb Whittaker, age 65 of Cantonment, passed away January 7, 2012.
Services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Plainview Baptist Church. Visitation shall begin at 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at noon, with the Reverend Bill Flannigan officiating. Mrs. Whittaker will be buried at Good Hope Cemetery in Cullman, AL, at 11 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, with a graveside service, also officiated by Reverend Flannigan.
Mrs. Whittaker passed away at her home on Saturday, January 7, 2012, of natural causes.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Hurdis Whittaker; one son, Glen Aderhold; three grandchildren, Loryn Amanda Jensen, Dixon Alexander Aderhold, and Steven Garrett Aderhold; three stepsons, Phillip (Melissa) Blondia, Eric Pilto, and Bruce Blondia, and several step-grandchildren. Mrs. Whittaker is also survived by three brothers, Glenn (Carolyn) Bibb, Wayne (Betty) Bibb, Wiley (Donna) Bibb, and by three sisters, Doris (Gene) Arnold, Sue (Burt) Rodgers, and Jo Walton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Clezzell Bibb.
Shirley Whittaker worked for the State of Florida, Vocational Rehabilitation Division for 35 years. She was very active in the Plainview Baptist Church Children’s Ministries, AWANA, and various other ministries in her beloved church.
The family requests that contributions to Plainview Baptist Church Children’s Church and AWANA would be made in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Lenora Walker Harrelson, 52, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012, at a Baldwin County hospital.
Mrs. Harrelson was a native and resident of Atmore and a former resident of Bratt. She was the second Poarch Creek Indian Princess in 1972 and attended the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Reva Walker; her grandparents, Fred and Lula Walker and Riley and Cora McGhee; and two brothers, David Nellums and Lavar Walker.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Lamar Harrelson of Andalusia; a son, Timothy Bartley of Andalusia; two stepsons, Danny McCorry of Atmore and David McCorry of Milton; a daughter, Heather Bartley Pettie of Andalusia; six grandchildren; a brother, Tony Walker of Atmore; and five sisters, Sharon Peebles of Atmore, Darlene Hitchcock of Bratt, JoAnn Nellums Boutwell of Perdido, AL, Donna Sue Marquett of Apache Junction, AZ, and Carol Jean Mercer of Pensacola.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. William Rolin officiating..
Burial will follow at the Judson/Creek Indian Cemetery.

Thomas (Thom) James Barrow, age 66, of Jay passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
Thom was born in Crestview and had lived in Jay for the past 43 years. His life’s careers have been the U.S. Navy, the Florida Highway Patrol, oil field business, and as a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputy.
Thom loved serving our community and has helped many people over the years. He loved animals of any kind and hated to see any of them or anyone mistreated. Thom also loved bird hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Thom was preceded in death by his father, Fred Barrow; mother, Mazie Chessher Barrow; brother, James Van Barrow; and brother-in-law, Norman Despaux.
Thom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Victoria Davis Barrow; sons Jeffrey Barrow, wife Kathy, and their sons Jason and Jeremy; son, Jamie Barrow, wife Angie, and their children Jamie, Jr.; Dustin; Josh; Katie; Travis; and Lilly; son, Joey Barrow, wife Tina, and their sons Matthew and Josh; son, Jay Barrow and their son Scott; son, Frederick Barrow, wife Jeanna, and their children Kendall, Grant, and Mackenna; daughter, Jennifer Barrow Ashworth, husband Rodney, and their son Garrett and mother of Jeff, Jamie, Joey, and Jennifer; Joan Barrow; brother, Robert Barrow (Margot), Mobile, AL; sister, Margaret Despaux, Crestview; brother, Johnny Barrow (Mary Jane), Crestview; sister, Bobby Tunstall (Bob), Zachary, LA; brother, Bill Barrow (Carol), Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Hazel Barrow, Jay; brother-in-law, Buddy Davis (Toni), Crestview; aunt Wiona Barrow; cousin Maxie Barrow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are grandsons Jason, Jeremy, Jamie Jr., Dustin, Josh, Travis, Matthew, Josh, Scott, Grant, and Garrett.

Mr. Houston Leroy Lawrence, age 70, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in a Houston hospital.
Mr. Lawrence was born in Flomaton and had lived in the Houston area since 1995 coming from Pensacola. He had been a meat cutter for Delchamps in Pensacola for a number of years. Mr. Lawrence was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by three sons, Donald (Linda) Lawrence, Joey Lawrence and Johnny Lawrence, all of Pensacola; two daughters, Lisa (Curt) Conley of Newport Richie, FL, and Tammy (Daniel) Mabrie of Milton; two brothers, Robert Lawrence of Houston and James Lawrence of Cantonment; three sisters, Maggie, Betty Jean, and Callie, all of Pensacola; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Pollard, AL.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time at Craver’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Christopher Glenn Middleton, 34, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Middleton was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore and attended the Atmore First Assembly of God Church. .
Survivors include his parents, Glenn and Denise Middleton of Atmore; two brothers, Kyle Kersey and Zach Kersey, both of Atmore; two sisters, Valerie Middleton of Atmore, and Tiffany Amerson of Bratt; his grandmothers, Catherine Middleton of Atmore and Betty Chandler of Falkville, AL; and a niece, Alexis Amerson of Bratt.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 2 p.m. the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Davis officiating..
