Dottie Mae Boutwell Harrelson,73 of Atmore, passed away Wednesday June 27, 2012, in Poarch. She was a homemaker, born in Huxford on October 22, 1938, to the late Jefferson William and Esther Oliva Ardis Salter, Sr.
She is preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Boutwell, Dorothy Caraway and Lottie Lou Caraway.
She is survived by her husband, James Harrelson of Atmore; five sons, Donald Wayne Smith and wife, Connie of Uriah, James M. Smith, Jr and wife, Brandy, Jerry Smith and wife, Kimberly both of Atmore, Malcom Harrelson of Perdido and Mikey Harrelson of Bratt; six daughters, Janice Styron and husband, Don, Jeanette McGhee and husband, Russell both of Atmore, Angela Mosley and husband, Roy of Flomaton, Joyce McIlwain and husband, Glenn of Atmore, Donnie Sue Grantham and husband, Wayne of Brewton, and Shonda Lynn Stherl and husband, Eric of Huxford; three brothers, Charles Salter, Jefferson William Salter, Jr and wife, Angie both of Huxford, Dewayne Salter and wife, Linda of Poarch; two sisters, Mary Jane Caraway and husband Pete of McCullough and Shirley White and husband, Larry of Huxford; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday July 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Malcom Harrelson officiating. Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Sunday evening July 1, 2012, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m.
Jimmy Lee Powell, Jr.

Jimmy Lee Powell, Jr., age 48, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was born in Savannah, GA. Jimmie was a Desert Storm vet while serving in the United States Air Force. He served with several fire stations and was a fire chief in Mississippi. Jimmie was also a paramedic and training officer in Escambia County for over 10 years. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Terrie Powell; daughters, April Hart (Jason) and Shelby Lowell; son, Shannon Lowell; mother, Betty Carnley (Charles); father, Jimmie Powell (Elizabeth); grandmothers, Catherine Grantham and Vera Powell; three sisters, Sheri Blum (Fred), Kimberly Scott (James), and Lori Barrett (Mike); four grandchildren, Kaileigh, Elliana, Taylor, and Riley; nieces and nephews, Timothy, Jordyn, Austin, Cody, Joshua, Caleb; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be members of Escambia County Public Safety.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Covenant Hospice.
Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Marcus Point Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Poulliot officiating.
Weaver Barlow

Weaver Barlow, age 87 of Gonzalez, rode his John Deere off to find more grass to cut on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. When he passes by, flag him down if you need anything fixed around the house.
Weaver served in WWII as an air policeman in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Monsanto after 28 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ernest and Donnie Amerson Barlow, and brother, Kermit E. Barlow.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce C. Barlow; children, Robert “Bob” Edward Barlow and wife Kay and Susan Barlow Page and husband, Paul; four grandchildren, Todd and Chuck Page and Phillip and Jake Barlow; five great grandchildren, Ben, Paula, Charlie, Megan and Evie due in September; sister, Elizabeth Eubanks and husband, Roy.
A small memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North at 1000 Hwy 29 S. Cantonment.

Betty Jo Fuller

Betty Jo Fuller, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 24.
Born the youngest of seven children on Oct. 23, 1938, in Jay and raised in Jay and Century, Betty married Dan Fuller at the age of 15 and the two went on to grow a family of seven children. Betty lived most of her life in and around Pensacola, but spent the 1960s in St. Louis, MO, when her husband’s job as a train engineer took the family there.
She was happy to return to her extended family in Florida, but kept a piece of St. Louis with her, remaining a devoted Cardinals fan for life. Until her health made her fragile, she loved to travel, and particularly enjoyed spending time in the mountains of Tennessee.
She had many jobs during her life, including managing the cafeteria at Santa Rosa Christian Academy and later training as a florist and hair stylist. Her creative talents were undeniable and perhaps best displayed in her amazing cooking. No family reunion was complete without her fried chicken or one of her delicious – sometimes experimental – cakes. After retiring from her last job in the hair salon at Azalea Trace, Betty stayed busy, often caring for grandchildren, spending hours talking with them and cooking their favorite meals.
Known simply as “Aunt Bea” to dozens of nieces and nephews and “Grandmamma” to her adoring grandchildren, Betty was a force of nature – the glue that held her family together – and a fighter for those she loved.
She was a tiny person, but loved with such fierceness and boundlessness that, to her family, she was bigger than life.
She was a devoted member of Smyrna Baptist Church and she loved and served her Lord and her church family.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but there is comfort in the knowledge that she is with her Savior in a world free of pain and limitations, awaiting reunion with those left behind.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lillie Mae Dunsford; sister Cammie Simmons, and brothers Dewy, Rudolph and Cleon Dunsford. She is survived by her husband Daniel S. Fuller of Pensacola; three sons, Danny Fuller, wife Lisa and children Leah, Ashley and Devon; Paul Fuller, wife Donna and children Blaine, Caleb and Grace; and Marc Fuller, wife Kelli, children Branden, Abigail and Olivia; four daughters, Cindy Ford, husband Rick; Becky Fore, husband Tony and children Rachael, Tony and Angie; Lisa Trinkle, husband Mark and daughter Lily; and Allison Carter, husband Richie and sons Drew and Justin. She is also survived by her sister and best friend Vonnie LaCoste and brother A.T. Dunsford; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Nathan Lee Berry

Mr. Nathan Lee Berry, 22, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2012. Mr. Berry was native of Gulfport, MS, a former resident of Perkinston, MS, and a resident of Flomaton for the past 10 years. He was a member of Friendship VFD, Century VFD, and Blue Branch Hunting Club. He was active in community service. Mr. Berry was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved his family and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was employed as lieutenant at Lifeguard Ambulance Services in Santa Rosa County.
Survivors include his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Berry Jr. of Flomaton; wife, Tiffany Hanks Berry of Flomaton; one daughter Anna Claire Berry of Flomaton; unborn son Mason Lee Berry; brother, Brandon (Charity) Berry of Perkinson, MS; sister Sarah (Quinton) Wright of Flomaton; two nephews, Brantley and Hunter Berry of Perkinston, MS; father and mother-in-law Steve and Theresa Hanks of Bratt; brother-in-law, Brett and Davy Hanks; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Berry Sr. Perkinston, MS, Pat Moran of Pass Christian, MS, Mr. and Mrs. Cary Hanks of Bratt, and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Turk of Flomaton; great-grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Peterson of Gulfport, MS; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Flomaton High School auditorium with Rev. Alan Hart and Rev. Brandon Berry officiating.
Burial will follow at the Pleasant Home Cemetery.

Ms. April Denise Jackson, age 22 of Montgomery Street in Troy, AL, passed away early Friday morning June 22, 2012, in Montgomery from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Ms. Jackson was born in Findlay, OH, and had been a resident of Troy for the past four years, coming from Brewton, AL. She was a 2007 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and attended Jefferson Davis Community College and then Troy University, where she was a member of TAU BETA SIGMA. She served as a specialist with the the Army Reserve in Dothan from 2009 until her death. She worked as a bank teller for BB&T, and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Derry Chavers of Brewton, and paternal grandmother, Florence Jackson of Mobile.
She is survived by her parents, Claude Jackson, Jr. and Helen Chavers Jackson of Brewton; grandmother, Wilma Chavers of Brewton, and grandfather, Claude Jackson, Sr. of Findlay; two brothers, Zack Chavers of Brewton, and Ron Jackson of Columbus; five sisters, Cheyenne Jackson of Brewton, Claudia Jackson of NC, Charmain Jackson of Columbus, OH, Chasandra Jackson of Findlay, OH, Niesey Howze of Wiggins, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Rev. Russ McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery.

Baby Blaze Henry Johnson, age three months and 11 days, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Sacred Heart Hospital after a extended illness.
Baby Blaze was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Huey and Mary Nell Johnson; uncle, John Franklin Johnson; paternal great grandparents, Roy and Ouida Johnson; and maternal great grandparents, Joseph W. White and J.D. and Ella V. Page.
He is survived by his parents, Chris ‘Squeaky’ and Katherine Johnson of Pensacola; maternal grandparents, Diane White (Chuck Frazier) of Flomaton, and Henry (Joy) Page of Marietta, GA; maternal great grandmother, Rosa Lee White of Flomaton; paternal step-grandmother, Ellen Johnson of Poarch, and many other family members and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 6 until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Flomaton First Baptist Church with Rev. Dustin Stockstill and Dr. Jerry Keese officiating.

Sylvia Alberta “MeMaw” Williams

Sylvia Alberta “MeMaw” Williams, age 92 of Molino, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012.
Sylvia was a native of Grafton, WV, and resided in the Pensacola area for 57 years and was a faithful member of Bellview Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was the owner/operator of Sylvia’s Beauty Salon on Avery Street for 25 years. After moving to the Molino area she found her a new church home at First Baptist Church of Cantonment. She was also a member of the Myrtle Grove Chapter 302 Order of the Eastern Star where she served in numerous offices including Worthy Matron and State Grand Instructor, and was a 40 year member of the Mayfair Homemakers Club. Sylvia loved life and watching her was a lesson in how to love. She loved to laugh and cherished her family and her Lord. What a tremendous blessing to have been able to have such an incredible women in our lives.
Preceding Sylvia (or “Ms Go” as she was affectionately know as) are her husband of 47 years, Adolph F. “Bill” Williams, parents, Charles and Dona Lucas, brothers, Percy, Francis “Tubby” and Frederick Lucus, and sisters, Maudie Dunnigan, Margurite “Geet” Nickelson, Sarah “Kitty” Sinclair, Elizabeth “Libby” Keener and Mary Jane Lucas.
Survivors include her daughters, Norma Marchant (Ricky) and Debbie Gilmore (Ronnie); grandchildren, William H. Marchant (Christie), Kory L. Marchant, Killi Marchant, Lucas Gilmore and Jacob Gilmore (Carla); eight great grandchildren; a very special nephew, Robert “Bob” Bolliger; a very special niece, friend and high school locker mate, Helen Lucas Thorn; numerous other nephews, nieces and cousins; and special friends, Barbara Sapp, Sonja Thompson, Frances Jordon, and Sylvia’s heaven sent friend and caregiver, Tammy Reid Hodge.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Ina “Belle” Daley Corvo

Ina “Belle” Daley Corvo, age 95 of Pensacola, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She was the baby of eight children born to John William Daley and Teresa Elizabeth Kerley on October 29, 1916 in Carson, MS.
She married Dominick Corvo in 1943. They were married for 48 years.
She was a devout Catholic and loved and lived her faith.
She is survived by her son, Vincent Corvo of Cantonment; daughter, Kathy (David) Peacock of Molino; three grandsons, Tony Corvo of Robertsdale, Spencer Corvo, Justin (Kim) Peacock of Daphne, six great-grandchildren, Kristyn (Josh) Grider of Gulf Shores, Marissa and Morgan Corvo of Robertsdale, Ashley, Tyler and Natalie Peacock of Daphne, one great great-grandson, Kayden Grider and expecting one great great-granddaughter Jodi Grider in September. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.
She was a beautiful and remarkable lady filled with God’s love, forgiveness and compassion for everyone she met. Because of the love overflowing from her she didn’t limit family to immediate relatives but embraced and claimed as her own long-time friends Barbara Herrmann and Evelyn Cosgrove, granddaughters Melissa Ard of Robertsdale, Tina Brewer of Elberon, IA and Lisa Corvo and the entire Welch, Burke, and Langan families.
We express our heartfelt thank you for the extraordinary and loving care received from Mr. Steven Raybourn and the Comfort Care Group, Regency Hospice, Granny Nannies and the entire staff of The Sabal House ALF.

Robert Earl Lowery

Robert Earl Lowery, 80 of Cantonment, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012. He was born December 4, 1931, in Jay to John and Ella Lowery where he was raised with five brothers.
After graduating from Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, he went on to touch many lives through his ministry and a career in family life counseling. He was the first full time pastor of Pintlala Baptist Church of Pintlala, AL. He was also a chaplain of Baptist Hospital and a pastor at various churches throughout Northwest Florida and Alabama. He was one of the original members of the Thursday Morning Group.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Louise Ray Lowery; children, Anita (Eddie) Kiser, Deborah Nichelson, Eddie (Lisa) Cloud, Deborah (Darwin) Johnson and Ronnie (Jessica) Cloud; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Brother Fred Martin officiating.
Graveside services will be held at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Linden, AL, at 3 p.m.
