James Stanley Marshall, 37, of Pensacola, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012. James was born on July 31, 1975, in Pensacola.
He is survived by his mother, Hellen S. Marshall of Molino; father, James S. Marshall of Pensacola; two sons, James N. Marshall and Jared E. Marshall, both of Pensacola; and two sisters, Suzanne Renee Marshall of Pace and Lynda L. Marshall of Montpelier, VT.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, at Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Calvin “Pedo” Taylor

Mr. Calvin “Pedo” Taylor, 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Taylor was a native of Atmore and a resident of Portland, Oregon for the past 20 years. His father, Jake Calvin Taylor, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Henley Taylor of Atmore; one brother, David Taylor of Flomaton; three sisters, Shelby Caraway of Walnut Hill, Cindy Scruggs of Flomaton and Myrtle Kulhman of Kerrville, TX; nine nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 10 a.m.. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Coleman officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2012, from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

William Shoemo
November 5, 2012
William Shoemo, age 73 of Cantonment, heard the call to glory on Thursday, November 1, 2012, as he planned, while in the tender loving care of his niece, Stephanie Stephens and his entrusted friend and caregiver, Willie Swails.
William was born on July 21, 1939, in Cottage Hill to Andrew and Lillie Ree Shoemo, Sr., who have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Andrew Shoemo, Jr., Abe Shoemo, David Bryant, Bertha Mae Shoemo-Dennis, Nathaniel Shoemo, aka Adbul Raheem, and his sister-in-law, Shirley Temple Shoemo.
His legacy lives on in his loving and devoted children, Kenneth (Natasha) Shoemo, Tonya Shoemo, and Terry (Barbara) Hamilton; eight grandchildren, Tarranicka, Deontae, Ashley, Kenya, Michael, Jerome, Adrienne, and Andrea; five brothers, Bernie (Eleanor) Shoemo, Kenneth (Betty) Shoemo, Myles (Erma) Bryant, Carl (Pat) Bryant, Charles (Carol) Bryant; four sisters, Barbara Dukes, Lula Farrow, Maxine (David) Davis, and Joyce Tumblin; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Shoemo and Mary Ann Shoemo; a special friend until death, Ms. Burnestein Williams. He leaves his precious and crazy memories with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Cantonment with Elder Myles Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Richard Billy Williams

Richard Billy Williams, born January 17, 1936, in New Orleans, to the late Willie and Lucille (Campbell) Williams, died on November 3, 2012, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was a long time resident of the Dixonville Community. Richard retired from Chemstrand. He was a member of the Berrydale Baptist Church, the Dixonville Fire Department, the Red Lodge Masonic Lodge #97, The Scottish Rite, the Hadji Shrine Temple and Jay #208 Order of the Eastern Star. Richard was a “die hard” NASCAR fan, he loved to travel and sit around and “shoot” the breeze with family and friends. Richard had a “soft spot” for the needs of others, especially children. His “mailbox” money went to help many good causes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years Sabra; brothers, Julius, Kenneth, Frank and Leslie.
He is survived by his son, Rick; granddaughter, Ashley (Joshua) Stringer; great-granddaughter, Sophia Stringer, and great-grandson, Calleb Stringer of Groten, CN; sister, Maxine of California; sister-in-law, Amanda (Kevin) Thorne of Tennessee, and many caring family members and friends.

A Masonic and Eastern Star service will be held on November 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Jay Funeral Home.

Hazel Powell Harris of Molino passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, one son Albert Rudd and a special companion of 22 years, Charles Beard.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis (Eugene) Peterson, three sons, Richard (Ana) Snowden, Ray (Cathy) Rudd, and Danny (Nita) Rudd, 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Regency Hospice, Nurse Finders, Jana, Mae, Ashley and Scott’s Pharmacy for the great care they showed in this time of need.
A time of visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL on Monday, November 5, 2012, from 1-2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow there at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Highland Baptist Church Cemetery in Molino following the service.

Jeanene Murphy Hadley, 78, of Pensacola, our precious Mother went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, after a long fight with cancer.
She has joined her loved ones by being reunited with husband, Hubert Hadley; parents, James Steve and Martha Murphy; brother, Don Murphy; and nephew, Shan Murphy.
Mother loved to laugh and tease. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Our world will never be the same without Granny Ha Ha.
She leaves to cherish many sweet memories her daughters and “sons”, Janie and Rick Malbeck of Milton, FL and Donna and Ben Porter of Molino, FL; a granddaughter, Sandra Porter, who was very dear to her heart; brothers, Jr. and Yvonne Murphy, George Ray and Sharon Murphy; sister in law, Eileen Murphy; along with many special nieces, nephews and friends.
She was loved and we will miss her greatly.
The family wishes to thank everyone for the many prayers and the staff on 4th floor north at West Florida Hospital. Your love and compassion for Mother was amazing and appreciated.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel on Sunday November 4, 2012 with Bro. Robert Porter and Bro. Ron Carnley, officiating. Interment will be at 11AM Monday, November 5, 2012 at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jimmie Eugene “Gene” Curry

Mr. Jimmie Eugene “Gene” Curry, 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in Fairhope.
Mr. Curry was a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Perdido for the past 39 years. He was a lumber stacker at Swift Lumber Co. He did lawn care and landscaping. He kept up Perdido Baptist Cemetery for 25 years, Perdido Baptist Church, the Post Office and Masonic Lodge with real dedication. He attended the Perdido Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian “Bounce” Curry of Perdido; three stepsons, Johnny Weekley of Perdido, Freddie (Patricia) Weekley of Perdido and Harold (Debbie) Weekley of Perdido; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Perdido Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Klotz officiating.
Burial will follow at the Perdido Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2012, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Perdido Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ingrid McHenry, 71, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012, in Brewton.
Mrs. McHenry was a native of Neunkirchen Kries Ottweiler, Germany, former resident of Century and has resided in Barnett Crossroads for the past 12 years. She was a loving and caring mother, cared for others as well and was an avid fisherman. Her husband, Felton Harvey Jones, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, Mark Edward (Diane) Jones of Milton and Cory Austin McHenry of Atmore; one daughter, Fedelia Jones Davis of Robertsdale; best friend, Tasha Grant of Century and six grandchildren, Kyle Lee Atkins, Kameron Austin Davis, Sommer Alexis Davis, Deanna Marie McHenry, Sophie Dee McHenry and Kenzie Elizabeth McHenry.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Elder Harold Brown officiating.

Mrs. Annie Mae Aaron Sheeler, 78, passed away on Monday, October 29 2012 in Atmore.
Mrs. Sheeler was a native of Monroeville and resident of Atmore for the past 30 years. Mrs. Sheeler retired from Vanity Fair after 30 years of service.
Survivors include her two sons, Nick Aaron of Atmore and Randy Aaron of Phillipsville, AL; two daughters, Sharee (Rodger) Shivers of Bay Minette and Shelia (Jack) Lambeth of Walnut Hill; sister, Ruth Rodella of Downey, CA; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Hadley and Rev. Linda Shiver officiating.
Burial will follow at the Conway Cemetery.

Mr. Leonard L. Donald, Sr., 92, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012. in Bay Minette.
Mr. Donald was a native of Pensacola and a resident of Nokomis, AL, since 1941. He was a member of the Nokomis Baptist Church were he was s past deacon, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School director and Training Union director. He was a veteran of World War II, retired from civil service, retired from Teledyne after 10 years of service and he loved to fish.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Jane Donald and one son, Buford Donald.
Survivors include his two sons, Leonard L. (Milner) Donald, Jr. of Atmore, and Billy Wayne (Frankie) Donald of Atmore; daughter, Vickie Donald of Atmore; ine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Pruitt and Rev. Houston Gill officiating.
Burial will follow at Serenity Garden Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 1 p.m. until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be Mark Presley, Don Smith, Dale Robison, Roger Prewett, Ricky Fore and Daryl Williams.
