Patricia Ann Beasley

Patricia Ann Beasley, 55, of Loxley, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, in Mobile. She was a homemaker, born in Tampa, October 25, 1957, to the late Hurbert Russell and Mary Louise Boyce Parrish. She loved cooking for her family and Atlanta Braves baseball.

Survivors include her husband, Ray A. Beasley, Jr. of Loxley; one son, Ray A. (Sharon) Beasley, III of Elesnor; one daughter, Tammy (Jeremy) Hargrove of Loxley; one brother, Ron Parrish of Childresburg, Ala; one sister, Holly (Jason) Duval of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Avianna Seymour, Aubrey Hargrove,and Colby Beasley.

Services will be Sunday, December 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery

Family will receive friends, Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home one hour prior to service time.

Cora Lena Redmon

December 28, 2012

Mrs. Cora Lena Redmon, 73, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Atmore.

Mrs. Redmon was a native of Davisville and a former resident of Brewton for years and a long time resident of Atmore. Mrs. Redmon attended the Gospel Light Church. Her father and mother, Jenkins (Jenks) Jordan and Oanzy Burkett Jordan,husband, Carl Redmon, Jr., two brothers, Milford and Cecil Jordan, one sister, Mildred Marie Buckhault and nieces and nephews all from Atmore, AL preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two God sons, Jonathan Rolin of Atmore and Curtis Evans of Atmore; one sister, Nadine Jordan (Jerry) Rolin of Brewton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Gospel Light Church with the Bro. Clarence Rolin and Bro. Bill Stuckey officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2012, from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. at the Gospel Light Church.

Pallbearers will be James Burkett, Floyd Burkett, Johnny Burkett, Scott Smith, Robert Macks and Mitchell Boyette.

Robert Edward “Doodle” Purvis

Robert Edward “Doodle” Purvis, 75, of Atmore, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Atmore on April 19, 1937, to the late Grace Wesley
and Aimee Odell Moring Purvis. He was a retired electrician from Monsanto and served in the United States Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Purvis and one son, Larry Robert Purvis.

He is survived by two sons, John Wesley (Angie) Purvis of Pensacola, and Eddie (Diane) Purvis of Atmore; daughter-in-law, Cathy Purvis of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Marisa Robards, Derek Bell, Carly Cocuy, Kadie Purvis, Kaleb Purvis , Kris Purvis and Jimmy Purvis and a great-grandson, Noah Robards.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glenn Jernigan officiating.

Interment was in Godwin Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Kaleb Purvis, Kris Purvis, Derek Bell, Mitch Johnson, Doug Purvis, Leonard Purvis, Ray Hodgen and Billy Coker.

Sharon Renee (Cobb) Golbienko

Sharon Renee (Cobb) Golbienko of Seattle, WA, passed away December 12, 2012. Sharon was born January 7, 1964, in Pensacola. She attended J. M. Tate High School. She was very proud to be an Aggie. Her love for Pensacola Beach always drew her back for visits. She will be greatly missed by family and friends in the Pensacola area.

She is proceeded in death by her father and mother Gail Cobb and Jo-ann Barkley.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Golbienko of Seattle, WA; daughter, Jennifer Morris; granddaughters, Alexis and Cecelia of Pensacola; step-mom, Maureen Cobb; brother, Ty Cobb (Paula) of Pace; sisters, Bonnie Perry (Wayne) of Molino, Susan Payne (Colin) of Pensacola, Julie King (Phil) of Kent, England, and Elaine Cobb (Nathan) of Cantonment; brother, John Mills (Jay) of Oakland, CA; numerous nieces and nephews and all of her Golbienko family in Seattle and two special childhood friends, Dee Dee Merrit and Amy Wetz.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Willis Henry “Bill” Lambeth

Mr. Willis Henry “Bill” Lambeth, age 84, of Jay Road in Brewton, passed away Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012, at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Lambeth was a native of Flomaton and a Brewton resident for the past 55 years. He was a retired maintenance worker with T.R. Miller Mill Company and attended the Oak Grove Holiness Church. Mr. Lambeth was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved raising honey bees and honey.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Melba Jean Pate Lambeth of Brewton; three daughters, Margaret (Steve) Grantham of Brewton, Kathy (Wayne) Madden of Brewton and Regenia (Paul) Harden of Monroeville; three brothers, Millard (Betty) Lambeth of Flomaton, James (Mildred) Lambeth of Flomaton and Robert (Elaine) Lambeth of Flomaton; two sisters, Cody (Dan) Wedgeworth of Flomaton and Theresa Smith of Flomaton; six grandchildren, Wade (Shelba) Grantham, Michelle Grantham, Tanya (Kevin) Reeves, Tara Madden, Teneal (Nick) Tulshi and John Willis Flora; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Grantham, Garrett Grantham, Konner Reeves, and Nolan Tulshi.

Mr. Lambeth was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Iva Lee Lambeth; brothers, T.C. Lambeth, Burnace Lambeth, Preston Lambeth, Marvin Lambeth, and great-grandson, Benjamin Cole Gatwood.

Funeral services for Mr. Willis Henry “Bill” Lambeth are scheduled for Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home Inc,. with Rev. Jeff Harris offciating.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Brewton with Craver’s Funeral Home Inc. directing.

Charles L. “Buster or Wagon” Williams

Charles L. “Buster or Wagon” Williams, 67 of Davisville, passed away December 25, 2012.

He was born August 30, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents Edith Priest and George W. Williams, brothers; George Williams, Jr.;  Clifford Williams, Billy Joe Priest and sister Doris Roberts.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dianne Williams; three daughters, Tina Roberson, husband Ken, Tina “Lou Lou”, husband David Segers, and Tammy Ashcraft, husband Jimbo; son, Ronnie Milstead, wife Danielle; grandchildren Megan, Dylan, Tristen, Seaira, J.T., Kayla, Weston, Brittany, Brett, Dustin and Taylor; great granddaughter Brayleigh; sister  Brenda Ekstrom; brother Clyde Williams; and multitude of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the Pine Barren Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Harper officiating.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to United Bank of Atmore in memory of Charles L. Williams.

Charles Franklin Pack Sr.

Charles Franklin Pack Sr. was born in Wauford, West Virginia on September 8, 1937, and passed away on December 24, 2012.

He was a Baptist and served in the US Army.

He was the son of the late Cletis and Betty Pack and the late Eunice Shrewsberry Rushbrook. Also preceding him in death is his brother, William David Meadows; sisters, Mary Hogge and Jewell Pack; daughters, Carolyn McBryde and Betty Joy Clarke; grandsons, Richard Pack, Justin Knott and Andrew Pack.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Elocie (Dick) Rush, Bonnie (Barney) White, Harold (Linda) Pack, Eric (Brenda) Pack, Thurman (Becky) Pack, Henry Pack and Cletis (Becky) Pack; children, Linda McCormick, Wanda Pack, Phyllis (Bill) Hudson, Paul (Jennifer) Pack, Frank Pack Jr., Roger (Cristina) Pack, Randy Pack, Kim (Randy) Wolfe, and Anthony Pack;  34 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 5-6 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 6 p.m. with Rev. Alton Nixon officiating services.

His final resting place will be Roles Chapel Forest Hill in West Virginia.

The children want to thank all the aunts and uncles for all they have done. A special thank you to Uncle Henry for many years of helping take care of Dad.

Mrs. Ruby Lee Griffis, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Pensacola.

Mrs. Griffis was a native of McDavid and resided in McDavid for the past 30 years. Mrs. Griffis worked at Century Hospital in the kitchen for 14 years, raised some of her grandchildren like they where hers.

Her husband J.D. Griffis, one son, Wayne Griffis, one daughter, Annette Griffis, a grandson, David Griffis, parents, one brother and one sister, precedes Mrs. Griffis in death.

Survivors include her four sons, Danny Griffis, Gary Griffis, Dennis Griffis and Tony Griffis all of McDavid; two daughters, Patsy Griffis of McDavid and Brenda Hanks of Century; four brothers, William Johnson of Molino, Fred Johnson of Cantonment, Buford Johnson of Cantonment, and Jimmy Johnson of Evergreen, AL; seven sisters, Mary Lee Gilmore of Hattiesburg, MS, Esther Mae Cartwright of Gonzalez, Dot Bohannon of Pensacola, Evelyn Talbot of Pensacola, Louise Capps of Cantonment, Marie Carnley of McDavid, and Laura Mae Kimmons of Flomaton; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 2 p.m at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Emmons officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation was hed Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Jerry Thomas Kelley, 73, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Atmore.

Mr. Kelley was a native of Laurel, Mississippi and a resident of Atmore for the past 22 years. Mr. Kelley attended the Atmore Apostolic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Kelley of Atmore; three sons, Joey Kelley of Laurel, MS, Tommy Kelley of Laurel, MS and Jeffery Kelley of Laurel, MS; one stepson, Arthur Mothershed of Atmore; two stepdaughters, Beverly Holcomb of Atmore and Sandra Towson of Pace; two grandchildren, grandson, Christopher Dakota Kelley and granddaughter, Victoria Grace Kelley; seven step-grandchildren, grandsons, John English and Blake Towson, granddaughters, Jessica Martin, Katie Mothershed, Alexis Towson, Shelley Mothershed and Kamryn Mothershed; five step-great-grandchildren,  great-grandsons, Makenzie Martin and Layton Martin and great-granddaughters, Colbie English, Cara English and Kaison Martin.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Ward officiating.

Burial will follow at the New Home Cemetery.

Robert Paul Killam

Mr. Robert Paul Killam, age 91, of Atmore, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, after an extended illness. He was born in the Poplar Dell community, He was a 1941 graduate of Century High School. He was a WWII Veteran with the Air Force (Army Air Corp) and worked for the Navy for 35 ½ years. He worked as an engine inspector, engine analyst working with the chief of Naval Aviation Training (CNATRA). He was also employed with the Escambia County Soil & Water Conservation Department. He was a charter member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church. He was a member of Century Lodge #213 and a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite of Pensacola.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wesley Killam; mother, Stella Mae Barrow; former wife, Cassie Merle Morgan; infant son; two brothers, Carl Killam and Fletcher Killam.

Mr. Killam is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cunningham Killam of Atmore; two daughters, Paulette Kindred of Montgomery, Ala. and Jane Carpenter of Atmore; five grandchildren, Kelli Lee, Brent Kindred, Robert Norton, John Norton, Bart Carpenter, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 14, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Petty Eastside Chapel with Rev. Mitch Herring, Pastor of Poplar Dell Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed at Poplar Dell Baptist, Century, Fla.

The family received friends Friday, December 14, 2012, from 2 p.m. until service time.

Pallbearers were Robert Norton, John Norton, Bart Carpenter, Brent Kindred, Brandon Kindred, Andy Lee, Mike Killam and Gary Killam.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorials be made to Poplar Dell Baptist Church at 2631 Highway 4A, Century, FL 32535.
