Mrs. Audie Hanks Bolerjack, 73, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Pensacola.
Mrs. Bolerjack was a native and a resident of Bratt for most of her life. Mrs. Bolerjack spent 18 years of her life traveling the world with her husband, who was in the Air Force. Mrs. Bolerjack was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very active in the nursery at the First Baptist Church of Bratt, where she attended, until illness prevented her from doing so. Her parents, Johnnie and Sally Hanks; three brothers, Arthur Hanks, Horace Hanks and Leonard Hanks precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Jim Bolerjack of Bratt; one son, Danny (Shelia) Bolerjack of Mobile; one daughter, Robin (James) Sutton of Century; two brothers, Howard (Merle) Hanks of Bratt and Sylvester (Juliette) Hanks of Bratt; two sisters-in-law, Mary Anne (James) Templeton of Warrington, VA and Phyllis Bagley of Centralia, IL; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Bratt First Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Woods and Rev. Cary Hanks officiating.
Burial will follow at the Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 10 a.m. until funeral time at Bratt First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Jon Bolerjack, Jamie Sutton, Steve Hanks, Mark Hanks, Jeff Hester and Mike Hadley.

Wayne Lee Patrick

Wayne Lee Patrick, age 72, of Cantonment, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, at a local hospice. Mr. Patrick was born August 14, 1940, in Inkster, Michigan.
He was married to Margaret Patrick for 44 years. He served in the U. S. Navy for 21 years and retired as Chief Petty Officer. He had a master’s degree in instructional system designs from Florida State University and retired from State of Florida Department of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and was a member of the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy” Patrick; sons, Michael Patrick and Matthew and wife Stacey Patrick; brother, Gary and wife Joann Patrick; grandsons, Tyler Nims and Levi Patrick and granddaughter, Kinsey Patrick.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hubert Henry “Bugs” Lowry, Jr.

Hubert Henry “Bugs” Lowry, Jr. of Jay, lost his one and a half year battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome on June 2, 2013, and entered into the arms of his loving Savior. He was born October 8, 1934. He was a member of Cora Baptist Church, a devoted husband, loving father and outstanding PaPaw. Bugs was a farmer all his life and it was the joy of his heart but also worked at Monsanto until his stroke at the age of 42. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming with his son, Henry. Bugs can be remembered by his infectious laugh with a toothpick hanging out his mouth, tissues and gum in his pocket and a smile on his face. Bugs had many health struggles, but continued to be a man full of life and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert H. Lowry, Sr. and Cassie Mae Morris Lowry; beloved brothers, Clifton Lowry Sr, Jesse B. “Boss” Lowry and John D. Lowry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty G. Lowry; son, Henry Lowry (Janet), daughters Dora Williams (Eric) and LeTonya Dietiker (Christian); grandchildren, Krystal and Jennifer Lowry; Briana Williams; Kamuela, Leigh Ana and Sterling Kealii Dietiker; brothers, Nathan (Glenda) Lowry, Sammy (Jeanette) Lowery, Curt (Lavelle) Lowry, Travis (Charlotte) Lowry, Frank (Melinda) Lowry; sisters, Martha (Bobby) Boutwell, Sandra Holt, Elaine (Tim) Fendley, Mary (Sammy) Beasley, Debbie (David) Walther and sister-in-law’s, Jeanette Salter Lowry, Doris Lowry and Juanita Lowry; and an abundance of special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Cora Baptist Church in Jay with Bro. Ladon Hall and Bro. Bobby Carnley officiating.
Burial will follow at Cora Baptist Church Cemetery in Jay, FL.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home.

Emily Phyllis Brunson Brabham

Emily Phyllis Brunson Brabham, 77, of Jay, passed away on May 31, 2013, with her family by her side. Emily enjoyed the little moments in life, going for a walk, playing with her cat, buying a present for a friend, traveling to places new and old, or going out for a nice dinner. Emily devoted her life to spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Haynes Brabham; her son, Stanley Robert Brabham; and her parents, Forrest and Phyllis Brunson.
Emily leaves behind two sons, Mark (Sonja) Brabham, and Matt (Lori) Brabham; daughter, Lynne (Chris) McDonald; seven grandchildren, Robert, Shelton, Steven, Tyler, Garrett, Logan and Katie; sister, Christine Brand; and two brothers, Sonny (Arlene) Brunson and Charlie (Echo) Brunson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, June 3, 2013, at Jay Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the Rev. Earl Greene officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday June 4, 2013, at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, FL at 4 p.m. EST.

Evan Marshall Wolfe was born March 15, 2013, at Sacred Heart Hospital and he received his angel wings on May 31, 2013. Evan fought hard to live every day of his life and now he is resting in the arms of Jesus. Our arms ache for him but we are comforted by the knowledge that he’s where we all long to be! He’ll be there waiting for us, healthy and rejoicing with our Lord.
Evan is survived by his parents, Brent and Meredith Wolfe; grandparents, Kelly and Teresa Schwarz, Eddie and Debbie Simmons, and Terry and Jean Wolfe; aunts, Kendall Wolfe, Alayna Simmons and Kylie Schwarz; uncles, Ryne Wolfe and John C. Schwarz; cousins, Addilyn Stoltman and Scarlett Boutwell.
A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Chumuckla Community Church (formerly Elizabeth Chapel) on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Tom Sharron officiating services. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery.

Candace Janice Moyers, 39, passed away May 23, 2013. She was born in Texas on April 29, 1974, and moved to Pensacola in her childhood years. She was a member of Plainview Baptist church. Candace attended Tate High School and was working her nursing degree at Bevill State College in Jasper, AL. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and brought joy to all that she met.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Moyers; daughter, Elise Monie; sons, Patrick Monie, Mathew Monie, Johnathan Moyers, and Cody Moyers; father, Milton Criswell; mother, Sharon Criswell; brothers, Brice Criswell and Rob Pittman; sisters, Karen Smith and Sunday Flowers; and grandchild, Benjamin Moyers.
Memorial service was held at Highland Baptist Church in Molino Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 2:30 p.m.
Pallbearers include Brandon Bridges, Spencer Dowling, Keith Jackson, Chad Pitman, Chuck McCurdy, Ron Whitfield and Michael Smith.

Mrs. Sandra Leah McGee, age 54, of Flomaton, passed away May 28, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. McGee was a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Flomaton for the past 19 years coming from Gueydan, LA. She received her nursing degree as a LPN at South Louisiana and had worked toward her RN degree at Jefferson Davis Community College. Mrs. McGee had worked as the Activities Director at Century Care Center. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Roller.
Mrs. McGee is survived by her mother, Beverly Brown of Milton; her husband of 19 years, Mike McGee of Flomaton; son, Jessie Lee (Tasha) Benoit of Gueydan, LA; daughters, Angela (Kirk) Boehm of Lafayette, LA, Anadee McGee and Mary G. Parfait, both of Houma, LA; brothers, Michael McCall of Patterson, LA and Patrick of Allentown; sisters, Susan Parrish of Chattanooga, TN, Terri Sessions of Milton, and Jennifer Robley of Patterson, LA; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joe Lee officiating.

Mr. Aubrey Gladden Amos, 76, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Atmore, AL. Mr. Amos was a native of Atmore and a resident of Atmore for most of his life. Mr. Amos was a retired employee of Kimberly-Clark with 25 years of service. He attended the First Baptist Church of Atmore. His wife, Shirley Amos and parents, F.F. and Lucille Amos, precede him in death.
Survivors include his two sons, David & Susan Amos of Atmore and Neal Amos of West Palm Beach, FL; one daughter, Brenda & David Moss of West Palm Beach, FL; one brother, Arnold Amos of Atmore; one sister, Ann & Ray Bell of Atmore; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 2, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Atmore with Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating.
Burial will follow at the Serenity Garden Cemetery.

Glynn Clayton Key, Jr.

Glynn Clayton Key, Jr., was born in Henley, Hays County, Texas on May 10, 1928. Mr. Key died Memorial Day, May 27, 2013, in Spanish Fort, Alabama. He was formerly a resident of Escambia County, Florida, raising Angus and farming there for over 40years. He was the son of Glynn Claiborne Key and Mary Rhoda Mansola. He attended Dripping Springs, Texas schools, and after attending Tarlton Junior College, joined the military. He served three years in the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army and was a staff sergeant.
After the Korean War, he went to Texas A&M and earned a Bachelor of Arts. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Florida, he completed a year with the USDA’s citrus division. After he moved to Walnut Hill he began teaching agriculture at Ernest Ward High School where he taught for 27 years helping young people and FFA students to develop a love for farming through his leadership. Mr. Key added to the area’s genetic investment in animal husbandry as a member of registered Black Angus organizations like the American Angus Association. He raised registered Yorkshire and Hampshire hogs and bred and raised border collie dogs. He was active in the Ruritan Club of Walnut Hill for 31 years and was involved with and held offices in the Walnut Hill Water Board and the Escambia County Soil and Water Board. His dedicated work with the Escambia County Storm Water Committee resulted in the naming of the Glynn Key Storm Watershed Park, a wetlands preservation and education site in Pensacola.
Mr. Key established numerous scholarships and education funds for students, mainly in agriculture, and was a leader and teacher in the Canoe Church of Christ for over 30 years and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Key was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Ann Cile Hall Key. He is survived by a brother, Billie Wayne Key of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Key will be Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore, Alabama, with a graveside service afterwards, both officiated by Rick Whittle, minister of the Spanish Fort Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Hall Family Cemetery in Canoe, AL.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Mattie (Bush) Reid

Mattie (Bush) Reid, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at her home in Century surrounded by her family. She was born on March 27, 1939, in Flomaton to Rural and Perry Lee (Heaton) Bush.
Mattie married the late Rev. Wallace Reid in 1968 in Century, they were happily married for 40 years. Mattie was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Clio, AL; however, she actively attended Gospel Light Temple in Century.
Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Wallace Reid; her parents Rural and Perry Lee Bush; two sisters, Caroline Virginia Bush and Mamie Rowland; two brothers Eugene Bush and Jim Bush; one son, Rickey Pritchett, Sr.; and one grandson, Christopher Bell.
Mattie is survived by her children, Claudia (PeeWee) Richard Turberville II of Semmesm, Joy (Daryl) Simpson of Century, Joe (Myra) Reid of Century, Elaine Purvis of Pensacola, Margaret Jackson of Century, Tammy (Aaron) Hodge of Cantonment, Joy (John) Guessford of Gulf Breeze, Robin Salter of Flomaton, Lonnie Purvis of Flomaton, Amanda (James) Merritt of Blue Springs, AL; Glen (Tammy) Reid of Bluff Springs; two sisters, Fannie Wright of Century and Bert (Joe) Huss of Jay; 30 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Mattie was an ordained minister. She enjoyed singing, writing songs, sewing, and traveling. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Mattie faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking and baking from scratch including cake decorating. She had a passion for the elderly. She enjoyed many years advocating for seniors at the Escambia County Council on Aging. She helped seniors live healthy, safe and independent lives. One of her proudest accomplishments was successfully advocating for the senior citizen center built in the industrial park. She was an alumni of the organization Volunteers in Service to America.
Commemorative services will be held at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, from 6 p.m until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May, 2013, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at the Byrneville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
