Randall Ovila Comeau

Randall Ovila Comeau, 78, of Cantonment died on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Covenant Hospice at West Florida Hospital.
He is survived by his five children, Jeffrey Comeau and his wife Denise, Christopher Comeau, Lynn Ann Covell and her husband David, Brent Comeau and his wife Elizabeth, and Rebecca Sherrouse and her husband Nicholas; eight grandchildren, Sydney Milke, Jessica Comeau, Christian Comeau, Jacob Covell, Macy Comeau, Matthew Covell, Seth and Zachary Comeau (along with their mother Andrea Comeau); one great-grandchild, Lola Milke; and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Navy 1953-1977 (retired as Master Chief). He also served his community as a management analyst in the Federal Civil Service, as a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee for 25 years, and as a minister to shut-ins for more than 30 years.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church at 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013. The presiding celebrant will be Monsignor Michael P. Mooney.
Burial services will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at the columbarium gazebo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
Charles William “Billy” Thompson

Charles William “Billy” Thompson Jr., 61, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 16, 2013.
Billy was an avid outdoor sportsman, who loved fishing, hunting and being around friends and family. Billy was also involved in racing, helping his brothers and nephew on their race cars. When he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors or at the racetrack, you could find him shooting a game of pool.
Billy was born June 4, 1952, in Pensacola and resided in Pensacola his entire life.
Billy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Sally Thompson and Grady and Ruby Allbritton; father, Charles W. Thompson Sr.; and the love of his life, fiancé, Kay Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Christine Bonds; brothers, Rick (Joni) Thompson, Tim Thompson, Mike Bonds and Chip Bonds; sisters, Tonya (Mike) Brantley and Gayle Falke; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until funeral services begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the funeral home with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Randy Thompson, Tim Thompson, Glenn Fowler, James Hallman III, Micah Hallman and Hunter Mandel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Fine, Ricky Fine, Danny Fine, and Doug Mandel.

Wesley Nelson

Wesley Nelson, 91, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Wesley was born September 13, 1921, in Brewton, and was a retired truck driver and former produce worker.
Wesley is survived by his children, Raymond J. Nelson, Sr. (Nell), Wesley Henry Nelson (Cindy), Joseph F. Nelson, Sr. (Marie), Carl Eugene Nelson (Pat), Shirley Ann Phillips (Gene) and Mary Delores Adkisson (Robert); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Nelson, Jr., James R. Nelson, Charles Nelson, John Godwin, Luther E. Godwin and Henry Joseph Godwin.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, 2013, at Faith Chapel North with Rev. Donald Leavins officiating.
Interment was at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Sue Hartfelder

Sue Hartfelder, 64, passed away August 16, 2013, in Milton. She was a native of Pennsylvania but was a long-time resident of Pensacola and most recently of Milton. She received her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg State College in Pennsylvania and her graduate degree from Bradley University in Illinois. From 1983 untiil 2001 Sue worked as a speech pathologist in Pensacola area schools and since 2001, was employed as a speech therapist at Bagdad Elementary School in Santa Rosa County. Her hobbies included gardening, making preserves and especially Jalapeno jelly. She had a special love for children and had a unique ability to relate to children of all ages. Those who love her valued her kindness, generosity, and her abundant energy.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and June Dieffenderfer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Bill Hartfelder (USMC-Ret); three sons, William ‘Burke’ (Kate) Hartfelder III, Rick (Casey) Hartfelder and Greg (Yuka) Hartfelder; six grandchildren, William ‘Will’ Burke Hartfelder IV, twins April and Hayley Hartfelder, Taylor High, Riley High, and Makoto Hartfelder and many friends and former students.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21 from 12 p.m. until services begin at 2 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Reverend Clyde Knights will officiate. Burial will follow at Coldwater Creek in Milton.

Billy Charles Crocker, age 48, a resident of Pensacola, passed away on August 12, 2013.
Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Starr M. (Farrell) Crocker; son, Christopher R. Crocker and spouse Michele; daughter, Morgan M. Crocker; granddaughter, Nala G. Crocker; parents, Hugh and Samra Crocker of Lumberton, MS; Barbara Stonebarger of Carrollton, TX; Joseph and Janice Farrell of Slidell, LA; sister, Connie Pearson and partner Calvin Kersey of Weirton, WV; brothers, Jerry Young and spouse Elizabeth of Upper Marlboro, MD; Richard Crocker and spouse Linda of Plano, TX; Patrick Crocker and partner Justin Guiadotti of Euless, TX, Joseph Farrell, Jr. and spouse Angelle of Slidell, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Pine Summit Baptist Church on Friday, August 16, 2013.
Bill is also survived by his beloved pets Bear, Jac, Outback and his grandpup Buster.
His favorite Bible verse is Matthew 4:19, ”And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Mr. James D. Forte, 87 of Atmore, passed away August, 14, 2013, in Atmore. He was born December 2, 1925, in Atmore.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Rev. Otis Thames and Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Charles E. Stewart, 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at his home in Stockton where he resided for the past 60 years.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife of 61 years, Inez Stewart of Stockton; two sons, Charles R. Stewart ( Linnie) of Stockton and Frank Stewart ( Tammy) of Perdido; one daughter, JoAnn Stewart of Stockton; 13 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Dean Holiness Church on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Sister. Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at the Dean Cemetery.

Curtis Melvin Howard, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2013. Daddy was a loved man and will be missed.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Mavis E. Howard; five children, Karen Thall, Sharon Phillips (Dale), Curtis M. Howard, Jr. (Beth), Stephanie W. Hughes (Lonny), Joseph B. Howard (Trisha); 14 grandchildren, Jared, Aubrey, Matthew and Zachary Thall of Port St. Lucie; Kristen, Kayla, Kasey, Karmen, Jacob and Jesse Hughes of Pensacola; Kayla J, Aden Howard, Tristin and Leila Randolph of Robertsdale; one great-grandchild, Gabriella Thall of Port St. Lucie; five sisters, Joyce, Delores, Barbara Jean, Elaine, Marilyn; two brothers, Bobby and Earl and his little dog Jackson.
Daddy loved fishing with his sons and grandkids, family get togethers and cookouts. He loved Alabama Football (Roll Tide Daddy) and joking around a good camp fire.
We love you daddy and will see you again soon!

Mary Nell Meitzler, 79 of Atmore, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, at Century. She was retired as a seamstress for 33 years with Vanity Fair Mills. She was born in Monroe County, AL, on January 9, 1935, to the late Luther Bryant and Ollie Mae Hayles Stafford. She was a member of Atmore Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Meitzler.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Pat) Meitzler of Walnut Hill and Ellis “Bubba”(Angie) Meitzler of Canoe; one sister, Jewell Mae Melvin of Atmore; two grandsons, Michael Meitzler and John Victor.
Services will be Thursday, August 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryars officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
