Barbara Erica Daniel

Barbara Erica Daniel, age 80, of Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday June 11, 2014, at her daughter’s house in Crawford, Tennessee. Mrs. Daniel was born March 11, 1934, in Liberty, New York to the late John Benjamin and Olive White Fricke. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all. She loved playing the piano and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. The angels in heaven now have a new member in their choir.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Paulette and Dan Wise of Crawford, TN, Kathy Lynn and Donnie Touchstone, Suzanne and Mike Barnes and Jayme Carol and Robb Echols, all of Pensacola; six grandchildren, April Michelle Harrison, Chenoa Ann Barnes, Jessica Nicole Ray, Kati Elea Touchstone, Krista Noel Touchstone and Dylan Chase Echols; six great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Harrison, Cheyenne Paul, Malachi, Giaovanna, Josiah and Isaiah Ray; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Lee Bogan of Gulf Breeze, Patricia and Alvin Harris of Jay and Mary and Patrick Sweeney of Pensacola; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Linda Fricke of Pensacola; lifelong friends and neighbors, Edgar and Bonnie Klienschmidt Of Pensacola; and PeeWee the cat.
In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death on February 16, 2014, by her husband of 61 years, Wallace Daniel, whom she is now with again.
Special thanks to nurse and good friend Novi Tolley, Teena, Liz, Brittney and all the Avalon Hospice Staff and Dr. Dawn Barlow and nurse Kim.
Mrs. Daniel’s wishes of cremation have been followed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Faith Chapel Funeal Home North at 2 p.m.

June Parilee Agee Deckard, 73, of Atmore, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Atmore. She was a judicial assistant born in Linden, Ala. on June 29, 1941, to the late Narralee and Clarice Glass Agee.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Deckard of Atmore; one son, Richard (Jenna) Deckard of Cherokee Village, AR; one daughter, Sherri Edge of Fort Walton Beach; five brothers, Vernon Agee of Daphne, Thomas Agee of Flomaton, Gary Agee of Warrior, Ala., Mike Agee of Dallas, TX and Dean Agee of Monroeville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, July 12, 2014, at noon at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Ted Bridges officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are will be Brett Ward, Kevin Faircloth, Edward Godwin, Lonnie Wilson, Bryon Sawdon, and Richard Deckard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Stabler, Robbie Ferguson, Josh Whitticker, and Dusty Burckette.

Willie Frank Barrow

Mr. Willie Frank Barrow, 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in Pensacola.
Mr. Barrow was a native of Atmore, former resident of Flomaton (where he spent most of his life) and resided in Century. His son, Lance Barrow and brother, Wilson Earl Barrow, preceded Mr. Barrow in death.
He is survived by six sons, Frankie Barrow of Florida, Johnny Barrow of South Carolina, Shawn Barrow of Century, Jimmy Meek of Brewton, Cherokee Meek and Joey Meek both of Oklahoma; one brother, Donald Barrow of Atmore; one sister, Margaret Barrow of Mobile; and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 5, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Susan Jean McNabb

Susan Jean McNabb, age 65 of Marianna, passed away peacefully at her place of residence in Marianna on Sunday, July 6, 2014. “Susie” was a long time resident of Marianna. She was born at NAS Pensacola, on June 9, 1950. She also lived in Illinois and Iowa before moving back to Florida for the last 50 years. Susie resided at Sunland Training Center in Marianna where she enjoyed time with her friends, time with the staff that helped care for her, and her time in school learning new things. Over the years, Susie enjoyed regular visits with her family and loved being with her Mom. Some of her favorite things were drinking coffee, listening to the radio, coca-cola, candy, opening presents on Christmas or birthdays, and holding on to her purse (a few pennies in her purse were as good as gold to her). As long as she was provided this small list of things, you could guarantee her happiness… and happy she usually was.
Susie is preceded in death by her father, Wendell McNabb; her step-father, William Sexton Sr.; step-brother, William Sexton Jr.; and her brother, Mickey McNabb.
She is survived by her mother, Bertha (Boots) Sexton of Jay; brothers, Wendell and Michael McNabb of New Orleans, Don (Merina) McNabb of Levittown, PA and step-brother, Rick Sexton of Hemet, CA; sister, Jeanne (Moo) Brown of Jay, and step-sister, Jeannie (Russ) Johnson of Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Jay Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Mike Hutto officiating.
Burial will follow at Canoe United Methodist Church Cemetery in Canoe.
Active pallbearers will be Wendell McNabb, Michael McNabb, Don McNabb, Moo Brown, Clay Brown, Randy Prescott, and Don Daugette.

John Edward Coker, 75 of Atmore, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in Mobile. He was retired from Monsanto. He was born on January 31, 1939, in Huxford to the late George Nathanel and Maude Inez Brown Coker.
Survivors include his wife, Verla Mae Stacey Coker; one son, John David Coker, three daughters, Patricia Ann Coker Green, Pamela Darlene Coker Martin, Tammy Coker (Jerry) Rolin, all of Atmore; one sister, JoAnn Coker Dugard of Huntsville; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Martin (Josh) Thomas, Mallory Brook Martin, Robert Douglas Green, Bradley Kyle Rolin, Anna Kathryn Rolin, Michael Coker, Noah Coker, and Abigial Coker; four great-grandchildren, Major Martin Thomas, Tenleigh Brooke Peebles, Ashton Thomas and Brantlie Thomas.
Graveside services will be Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Dewitt Sells, 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Mr. Sells was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. Mr. Sells attended the Poarch Community Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Roberta Sells; one brother, Jason Sells; one sister, Annabelle Elison and one nephew, Alton Sells.
He is survived by his son, Dewitt (Tressa) Carter of Repton; daughter, Angie (Whiddon) Taylor of Brewton; five brothers, Garvis (Catherine) Sells, Toney (Jannette) Sells, Robert Sells, Julius (Tonya) Sells, and Jerry (Sue) Sells of all Atmore; one sister, Gloria (Gerald) Krafka of Atmore; 15 nephews and nieces and six grandkids.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Stabler officiating.
Burial will follow at the Judson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. July 22, 2014, at the Poarch Community Church.

Preston “Pete” (Tomahawk) McGhee, 58 of Perdido, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Pensacola. He was employed by Booker Trucking as a truck driver. He was born on December 17, 1955, in Escambia County, AL, to the late Shirley L. and Willene Partin McGhee.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Lee McGhee.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Bray McGhee of Perdido; three daughters, Tonya M. Black of Nokomis (FL), Dana G. Moss of Houston, TX and Mirnda Smith of Repton; four step-children, Daniel K. Griffith, Shawn E. Brown, Robby E. Brown and Shaina M. Brown; one brother, John H. McGhee; three sisters, Betty McGhee Peacock, Angela McDevilbiss and Christine M. Parker; 10 grandchildren, Monica Neisler, Talmadge Moss, Todd Smith, Zackery Smith, Matthew Smith, Lauren Smith, Alexandria “Data” Brown, Asheley Nicole Ward Moser, Cody Allen Pridgen, and Teagen Michea Black.
Services will be Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 2 p.m. from the Friendly Holiness Church with Rev. Ray Ward and Rev. Dale Aplin officiating.
Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery.
Family will receive friends, Tuesday evening July 8, 2014 from 7 p.m. at the Friendly Holiness Church until service time at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Gerald (Jerry) Lambeth, born March 10, 1949, passed away at the age of 65 on July 5, 2014.
Born in Century, he was raised in Flomaton. He went to school at Flomaton and graduated from Flomaton. He worked as a boilermaker out of Local 112 out of Mobile for 31 years. He was a fireman for Friendship Volunteer Fire Department for ten years and was chief for two years. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was survived by his wife, Shirley Lambeth of 40 ½ years; sons, Brady Lambeth (Donna Biggs) of Flomaton; Jason (Stacey) Lambeth of Pensacola; daughters, Kristy (Joey) Hutchcraft of Brewton, AL, daughter, Misty (Justin) Jerkins of Flomaton; brother, Johnny (Linda) Lambeth of Evergreen, AL; sister, Sue (Kenny) Bryan of Beatrice, AL and grandkids, Logan Lambeth, Olivia Lambeth, Tyler Riggs, Nathan & Trenton Lambeth, Megan Smith, Chandler Enfinger, Tyler Hutchcraft, Hannah Peacock, Harley Jerkins and JT Jerkins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Lambeth; and sister, Carol Beasley.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 10 a.m.. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Boutwell officiating.
Burial will follow at the Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

Mr. James O’Neal Amos, 57, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in Atmore.
Mr. Amos was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. Mr. Amos is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Johnson Amos and father, James M. Amos.
He is survived by his four brothers, Clifford Amos, Carlton Amos, Will Amos and Thomas Amos all of Atmore; and three sisters, Carolyn (Jimmy) Jackson, Bernice (Joe) Pace and Polly Dean all of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sullivan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robine Jackson, O’Neal Jackson, Stevy Jackson, Joe Pace, James Commalander and Casey Jackson.

Huston Wright Shell

Huston Wright Shell, 80, of Jay, passed away on July 5, 2014, after a short illness. He was born on January 10, 1934, to Loyd T. And Fanny Hall Shell in Jay. Huston was a lifetime resident of Jay. He graduated from Jay High School in 1952. He attended Auburn University and joined the US Air Force where he earned the National Defense Service Medal for designing a safer way to pack a parachute that is still in use today. After an Honorable Discharge he returned to Jay to farm with his father. However he soon started working at Chemstrand (Monsanto). He retired as a supervising foreman after 34 years. Huston loved God, family, children, hunting, fishing, farming, and grand adventures. He was an expert turkey hunter and was awarded a lifetime membership in the National Wildlife Turkey Federation for his achievements. Huston enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially Auburn football. War Eagle! He was a faithful member of Pine Level Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.
Huston was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Fanny Shell; and son-in-law, Roger Earl Lewis.
Huston is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gwen, who was a co-conspirator in many of his exploits; two devoted daughters, Dianne Lewis of Berrydale and Donna (Lawrence) Jackson of Jay; five grandchildren, Trent Lewis (Amelia Weekley), Cassie Lewis (Peter) Odahowski , Kerry McCall, Jeremy (Jessica) Odom and Megan (Cliffton) Carroll; six great-grandchildren, Braden Lewis, Erica McCall, Travis McCall, Walker Odom, Jason Carroll, and Alexis Carroll; two step-grandchildren, Stephen (Talia) Jackson, and Sonya (Reggie) Odom; five step-great-grandchildren, Colby, Baylie, and Allie Odom and Avarie and Payton Jackson; two brothers, Truss (Audrey) Shell of Jay, and Billy (Marguerite) Shell of Brewton; two sisters, Luellen (Mallory) Cooley of Jay and Gail Davis (Jeff Buchanan ) of Pensacola; one uncle, Otis (Estelle) Hall of Ocala, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Jay Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Pine Level Baptist Church in Jay with Rev. Mark Stuart, Rev. Earle Greene, and Rev. Dennis Terry officiating.
Internment will be at Pine Level Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, Martha Terry, Jan Smith, Davis Terry, Mary Jones, Frank Harold, Yvonne Hall, and Faye and Ben Hudson.
