Mrs. Johnie M. Brown Johnson, 79, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Pensacola.
Mrs. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Christian Home. Mrs. Johnson was the first lady on Escambia River Electric Co-op and was on the Bratt and Davisville Water Board. She was a member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Herman D. Johnson; parents, Vernie and Ella Brown; two brothers, Soney Brown and John Brown; and one sister, Flora Jean Thomley, precede her in death.
Survivors include her son, John D. Johnson of McDavid; two daughters, Marian “Becky” Johnson Strobaugh of McDavid and Betsy (Joey) Hasty of McDavid; two brothers, Joe R. (Ann) Brown of Gulf Breeze and Jerry D. (Darlene) Brown of Robertsdale; brother-in-law, Rayford J. (Joan) Johnson of Edgewater; sister-in-law, Joyce Ann Shields of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren, Bradley A. (Kellie) Ross of Albuquerque, NM, Amy J. (Daniel) Lambeth of Flomaton, Sarah E. (Eli) Miller of Molino, Paul C. “Joe” Strobaugh of Clarksville, TN, Daniel E. Strobaugh of McDavid, Haleigh Hasty of McDavid, and James A.J. Hasty of McDavid; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Parker, Ellison and Silas; daughters without papers, Caroline E. Long and Ann H. Wilkinson and many beloved nieces, nephews (great and great-great included) and cousins from both the Brown and Johnson families.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Pickern officiating.
Burial was at the Christian Home Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joey Hasty, Bradley Ross, Daniel Lambeth, Eli Miller, Paul “Joe” Strobaugh and Daniel Strobaugh.

Wilson Junior Miller

Mr. Wilson Junior Miller, 77, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014, in Atmore.
Mr. Miller was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wilson Miller and Ester Lou Miller; and his wife, Mary Margaret Miller.
Survivors include his special friend and companion, Voncile Dean; two sons, Randal (Gail) Miller and Ricky (Jo) Miller; one daughter, Wynell (Miller) Clary; two brothers, Roger Miller and Darrell Miller; five grandchildren, Kaleb, Jessica, Cody, Jennifer and Justin; one great-grandchild, Lane Ayden.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hutto officiating.
Pallbearers were Shug Thorton, Bob Gallaton, O’Neil Bell, Harold Peacock, David Dean and Jason Dean.
Richard Matthew Bomba

Mr. Richard Matthew Bomba, 72, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014, in Pensacola.
Mr. Bomba was a native of Lawrence, MA, former resident of Island Falls, Maine and a resident of Atmore, for 40 years. Mr. Bomba owned and operated Dick’s Custom Archery Shop at Bratt, was a former route man for Smith’s Bakery, Golden Flake Chip Co. and Little Debbie. He was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lawrence, MA. His Father, Frank Bomba, precedes him in death.
Survivors include his, mother, Laura Bomba of Island Falls, Maine; one son, Matthew Lee Bomba of Stockton; one daughter, Michelle (Rodney) McAnally of Bay Minette and four grandchildren, Lauren McAnally, Ethan Bomba, Trevor Bomba and Emilee Bomba.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Elder Bobby Willis officiating.
Burial will follow at the Alabama State Veteran’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. until service time at 9 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Bomba, Rodney McAnally, Matthew Bomba, Jason Peebles, Jarrod Peebles and Clayton Baker.

Randall Eldridge Moore

Mr. Randall Eldridge Moore, 45, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Pensacola.
Mr. Moore was a native of Northport, AL and a resident of Flomaton for most of his life. His parents, Henry and Marie Wheat precede him in death.
Survivors include his mother and father-in-law, Larry and Rose Lambeth of Flomaton; wife, Kellie Lambeth Moore of Flomaton; son, Russell Moore of Flomaton; and daughter, Maranda Moore of Flomaton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Donnis Bowman officiating.
Burial will follow at the Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014, from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

James Wilbert Godwin

James Wilbert Godwin, 60 of Morse, LA, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014.
Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Godwin, Sr. and Kathleen Jarman Godwin; and great-grandson, Logan Fontana Maye.
He was a loving father and grandfather to his children, Wendy Danielle (Jamie) Istre, James Aaron (Brittany) Godwin, Kimberly Ann (Anthony) Fillingam, Paul David (Brianna) Amos, Gary Eugene Amos and Kristy Len (Mike) Amos; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Marie (Joseph) Nelson and Joyce Phillips; and two brothers, Luther (Gail) Godwin, Jr. and Joseph (Tracy) Godwin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Larry Gallbreath, officiating.
Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Earl Istre II, Caleb Vazquez, Tyler Vazquez, Johnny Torrence, Richard Benoit and James Raymond Nelson.

Jennifer Cifaldi McMorris 44, of Flomaton, passed away November 7, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Panama City, Panama on September 5, 1970. She is preceded in death by her father Matthew Joseph Cifaldi. She was a RN and had worked at Century Nursing Center, Oakwood Nursing Home and DaVita Dialysis Center in Atmore. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Richard McMorris and children, James Riley McMorris, Sidnie Reed McMorris and Aja Rae McMorris all of Flomaton; mother, Dora Cifaldi; brother Matthew Cifaldi; father and mother-in-law Mike and Joyce Respress of McCullough; brothers- in-law, Mike and Viena McMorris of Brimingham, Tim and Veronica McMorris of Austin, TX, and Sean Respress of Daphne; sisters-in-law, Melissa and Jeff Chafin of Spanish Fort and Jayne and Rick Tiehes of Jackson, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jennifer’s Life will be held at a later date.

Shirley Diane Rushing, 63 of Atmore, passed away on November 5, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 11, 1951, in Atmore, to Doris and Marshall Hall. She was a realtor and broker for 35 years in Alabama and Florida.
Her father and mother, Marshall and Doris Hall; and sister, Lanell Cook preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rushing is survived by her husband, Rev Johnny Rushing; a special nephew, Tommy Young (Lela); and grand-niece Ciana; four step-children, John Rushing, Jamie Rushing, Tammy Filasila (Waylon) and Sherry Capps (Jeremy); two grandchildren, Carson and Ava; two brothers, Colvin Murph (Faye) of Bay Minette and Rodney Hall of Mobile; six sisters, Carolyn Dees of Robertsdale, Nancy Roach (DC) of Davisville, Bettye Hodges (Ken) of Pensacola, Sarah Ward (Mike) of Mobile, Rita Whatley of Atmore, Becky Holloway (James) of Odessa TX; and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore on November 8, 2014. Pastor Thurl Pearson will officiate. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m.
Interment will be at McCullough Cemetery.

Herbert C. Guy, 85 of Robinsonville, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014, at his residence. He was retired from International Paper Corp as a machine operator. He was born in Clark County, AL on April 9, 1929, to the later Eli Carlton and Minnie Gates Guy. He served in the U.S. Army in the Koran war. He was a member of Canoe Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Annie Lambert Guy; three sons, Carlies Daniel (Brenda) Guy, Thomas (Melanie) Guy, and Richard Neal (Kristie) Guy all of Robinsonville; one daughter, Peggy (Freddy) Lambeth of Robinsonville; one brother, Bill (Earline) Guy of Birmingham; eight grandchildren, Jason (Melanie) Guy, Traveis (Georgia) Guy, Natalie (Mark) Rodgers, Brittiany (Josh) Odom, Tyler (Shay) Guy, Aaron Guy, Dee Guy, and Michael Lambeth; eight great-grandchildren, Bailey, Gavin, Payton, Noah, Lorelie, Max, Klayton, and Blaklyn.
Services will be Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Armstrong officiating.
Interment will follow Canoe Methodist Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m.

Robert Allen Raughton

Robert Allen Raughton, 78, passed away peacefully November 5, 2014, surrounded by family members and loved ones. After serving in the United States Army, Allen worked as a master craftsman, and retired from NAS Pensacola as a supervisor after decades of service to country to include service to country in Asia.
Allen was born to Amelia Rita Bowers and Joseph Allen Raughton in 1936.
He has temporarily departed from his wife of 56 years, Ellen Raughton. His children, Zina Raughton Smith, and Gregg Allen Raughton along with their respective spouses, Jay Smith and Kathleen Johnson Raughton grieve his passing.
Allen’s siblings include, Jean Lambert, Frank Raughton, Marie De La Cruz, Patricia Hernandez, Mary Martin, Richard Raughton, James Raughton, Elizabeth Foster, Sally Casey, Rita Wilson, and Sam Raughton; grandchildren, Jason Montgomery, Kevin Raughton and his wife Whitney, Lauren Smith, Kaylee Smith, Kristi Raughton; great-granddaughter, Landyn Raughton mourn Allen’s passing as well. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, and scores of others are members of the Raughton family tree with many, many relatives.
A life filled with joy, Allen enjoyed worshipping with family and church family; a thirst for the Word and presence of God in his life; hunting; fishing; working; and being around friends. Allen participated in life, rather than being spectator.
Often, Allen would speak of his most precious earthly asset as his family. His affinity for family is, and was, returned to him by family and friends alike. He blessed so many during his scores of a life well lived.
Allen was a member of American Legion, Blue Lodge, and Hadji Shriners; while both Ellen and Allen worked with Rainbow girls and Order of the Eastern Star. Once committed, never was there a question of loyalty and goal relative achievements for all endeavors.
Pallbearers are Jason Montgomery, Nathan Garnto, Kevin Raughton, Brian Lambert, Chris Hensen, and Mark Watson.
Services were held Friday, November 7, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Pace.
Pastors Brandon Dasinger, John Webb, Kevin Holland officiated.

Vallie Andrews

Mrs. Vallie Andrews, 89, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014, in Ft. Walton Beach.
Mrs. Andrews was a native of Mexia, Alabama and a resident of Atmore for 60 years. Mrs. Andrews retired from the City of Atmore Utility Department and organized singings once a month at the Atmore Senior Site. She was member of the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Melree Andrews, Sr.
Survivors include her two sons, Melree (Pandora) Andrews, Jr. of Atmore and Joe (Jackie) Andrews of Crestview; one daughter, Donna Kay (Benny) Thompson of Ft. Walton Beach; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Mr. Dave Taylor officiating.
Burial was at the Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were deacons from Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.
