John C. Worley

John C. Worley, 69, of Pensacola, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014. John was born on February 9, 1945, in Opp, Alabama.
He graduated from DeFuniak Springs High School, Class of 1963. He was a Mason at the Ferry Pass Lodge for 40 years. He was a softball coach for NEP for numerous years and later umpired at Cantonment and NEP. He worked at Monsanto for 17 years and later retired from Escambia County Roads and Bridges department after 15 years. He was an avid golfer and loved wood working. He was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Pensacola.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Vivian Worley.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Worley of 41 years; his children, Katherine Reding, Mike Allan, Rodney Allan, James Worley, Jacqueline Stoner; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Cartwright, Michael Ray, Matthew Reding, Jon Stoner, Dakota Worley and Lil John Worley.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December, 17, 2014, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with services to follow.

Margaret Mable Mininger Schneider
December 15, 2014
Margaret Mable Mininger Schneider, 92, of Walnut Hill, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014, in Pensacola. She was a homemaker, born in Ithaca, MI to the late Emanual B. and Hattie Mae Freeman Mininger. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church.
She is preceded in death by a son, Kyle Schneider; three sisters, Geraldine Hiebert,Virginia Johnson, and Betty Lavender.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Verle Schneider; one son, Royce ( Marilyn) Schneider, all of Walnut Hill; four daughters, Sally (Robert) Toews Kingsville, Ontario, Polly (Lyle) Wiebe Mitchell, Ontario, Rose (Carlos) Koehn, and Susan Schneider, all of Walnut Hill; daughter-in-law, Donna Schneider of Bratt; one brother, Robert (Ruth) Mininger of Moundridge, KS; three sisters, Pauline Harms of Brooksville, MS, Vada (Don) Seiler of Macon, MS and Elgene (Miguel) Martinez of San Antiono, TX; 22 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. from the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church with Rev. Wilbert Peters officiating.
Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mark Anthony Dyke

Mark yielded his spirit into the hands of Jesus on December 12, 2014, at the age of 58. He was born in Tacoma, WA in 1956 to Edward and Dorothy Dyke. Mark was a devoted family man, avid sports enthusiast, and lover of the outdoors. He spent his life supporting his family, not only as a provider, but as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hugh Dyke.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Dyke; son, Christopher; daughter-in-law, Laura; and grandsons, Andrew and Aidan Dyke; son, Sean Dyke; daughter, Ashley and son-in-law, Erik Myers; brothers, Richard Dyke and wife, Pat, Bruce Van Dyke and wife, Robby, David Van Dyke and wife, Maggie, and Ron Gottheil and wife, Elisa; sisters, Mary Kathleen DeCaprio and husband, Dominic, Shelia Brown, Cynthia Smith and husband, John; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment.
A private service will be held for the family at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach.

William Timothy Russell

William Timothy Russell (Tim) 70, of Jay, joined His Lord and Savior on December 12, 2014, surrounded by his family.
A loving husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and brother-in-law he was preceded in death by his father, Roy Russell; mother, Laura Russell; and sister, Ladeane Abell.
He is survived by his best friend and wife, Ann; sister, Chiquita Chavers; brother, Glennon Russell; daughter, Roxanne Seib; son-in-law, Eric Seib; grandchildren, Will, Trace, and Carysn Seib and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tim grew up in Fidelis on a dairy farm. He graduated from Jay High School in 1962 where he met his future wife Ann. Tim was a starting player on the Troy State basketball team. A studious athlete, he earned a degree in Criminal Justice at Troy State. A proud patriot, Tim served in the Army for 12 years including a tour of duty in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Married in 1965, he was then stationed in Berlin, Germany where he played three years with the Berliner Bears and OSC German basketball teams and became a proud father. Tim continued his Army career in Frankfort, Germany where he worked as a CID investigator. Returning to his hometown in 1979, Tim became the manager of the Golden Peanut Company buying point. Over the next three decades he managed the purchasing of peanuts from local farmers. Tim loved the Lord, hard work, playing basketball and tennis, and his horses. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and choir member at the Jay First Baptist for many years. His Pee Wee, Roxanne, and grandchildren brought him much joy every day. He will be truly missed as he brought joy to everyone just by his presence.
A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Jay First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. There will be no graveside services.
Michael “Mike” Eugene Allen

Michael “Mike” Eugene Allen, 51 of Nokomis, AL, passed away on December 10, 2014. He was born on September 16, 1963, in Atmore. Mike attended Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette and Real Estate School in Mobile. Most of his career was spent as a corporate officer of Harold Allen Mobile Homes and he was the general manager. He attended church at Atmore First Assembly of God.
Mike was known for his giving heart. He was a generous man who always put others first and was always ready to lend a helping hand. In 2009, Michael was awarded the “Good Samaritan Award” by the Atmore Veterans of Foreign Wars for single handedly rescuing four people from a flood. Mike was also declared a “Hero” by a local news source after the event. Mike was also known for giving aid during hurricane disasters by clearing roads and removing debris. In 1998, Mike saved a life by generously donating his kidney to his father, Harold Allen. He was a hero and a Good Samaritan who was dearly loved and will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know him.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Moxness Allen and children, Chrystal Allen, Cynthia Allen (Josh) Davis and Christopher Michael Allen all of Nokomis. His mother, Mary Ann Norris Allen of Bratt, and father, Harold (Janet) Allen of Atmore. Siblings, Vicky (Josh) Black, William Marcus Allen and Ethan Harold (Paula) Allen of Atmore. His mother and father in-Law, Frank and Frances Moxness of Atmore; his grandchildren, Dylan Purvis, Emma Purvis, Noah Allen, Canaan Davis and Isaac Davis.
Services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Rev. Don Davis officiating. Visitation will be begin at 10:00 a.m. and the service will be held at 11:00. The burial will follow at the Woods Cemetery in Atmore.
Active pallbearers will be Ron Moxness, Jonathan Hall, Christopher Allen, Matthew Hall, Ethan Allen, Danny Nall, Josh Davis and Dylan Purvis.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014, from 10 a.m. until service time from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Daniel Ancel Jordan

Mr. Daniel Ancel Jordan, age 56 of Flomaton, passed away at his home on Monday, December 8, 2014.
Mr. Jordan was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton where he worked as a welder and pipefitter for Gulf Construction. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian ‘Bib’ and Janie Hinson Jordan.
He is survived by his daughter, April Jordan of Brewton; brother, Billy Ray (Barbara) Jordon of Stockton; sister, Judy (Bud) Lambeth of Atmore; niece, Mandy (Josh) Turner of Brewton; nephews, Shannon (April) Lambeth of Fairhope; and Michael (Angie) Lambeth of Monroeville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating.
Interment will follow in Little Escambia Cemetery in Flomaton.

William T. (Bill) Taylor

William T. (Bill) Taylor, 89, patriarch of the Taylor family, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, December 5, 2014, in Molino.
Bill was a charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a graduate of Tate High School. He served in the Pacific during World War II and he proudly visited Washington DC as part of the Honor Flight in 2011.
Bill retired from St. Regis/Champion/International Paper and was awarded the prestigious Jim Robinson Award in 1985 for his leadership abilities. He was a two time Past Master of West Florida Lodge 210 and a member of the Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A. J. and Addie Taylor; his siblings, Lottie Taylor Gilley, Melissa Taylor Draden, Edna Taylor Smith, Ruth Taylor Golightly, Elle Mae Taylor King, A. J. Jack Taylor, and Brooks Taylor; and a grandson, Chad Williamson.
Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Edna Taylor; his children, Debbie (Bill) Terry, Cindy (Dink) Kennedy, Jackie (Gene) Milstid, Terry (Pat) Monahan, William (Billy) (Dalia) Taylor, Jr., and Ronnie (Teresa) Williamson; and his best friend and fishing buddy, Peter Hensel. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful grandfather, and loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be the evening of Monday, December 8, 2014, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Services will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 2 p.m., with the Reverends Jimmy Cook, Ed Cotton, and Jack Taylor, Jr. officiating.
Graveside service with military honors will follow the service at Crabtree Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry King, Alan King, Gerald Taylor, Chris Golightly, Dick Joiner, and Troy Booker.

Keith Bryan Williams

Keith Bryan Williams was born June 4, 1970, and passed away December 6, 2014. He was a graduate of JM Tate High School Class of 1990 and worked at Escambia County Utilities for about 10 years. He was an avid wrestling fan and fan of Alabama football “ROLL TIDE”. He loved all his dogs Sid, Precious, Nolie, Lily and Brody.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lori Ann Williams; mother, Sandra Williams Latner; sister, Felecia Williams; brother, Keven Williams; grandparents, Eddie and Margaret Tarkus, and many aunts and uncles that he loved so dearly!
He is survived by his brother, Todd (Jessica) Williams; sister, Mylinda (Yurii) Bowden-Dougherty; step-daughters, Vivian (Chris) Stockwell and Valerie Lowe; father, Jimmie Williams; stepfather, Tim Latner; grandchildren, Arwynn and Asa Stockwell and Kalyssa Pack; brother-in-law, Eugene James; nephews, Michael and Thomas Dougherty, BJ, Justin and Bradley James; niece, Kayla Hughes; and his best friend of all David “Bubba” Middleton.
Pallbears will be Michael and Thomas Dougherty, Bubba Middleton, Fred Hutcherson, Ernie Tarkus and Joey Tarkus.

Nancy Gunter Darby

Nancy Gunter Darby, 70, of McDavid, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 5, 2014, with her husband of 53 years by her side.
Nancy was born May 7, 1944 in Pensacola to the late L.O. and Olyne Gunter. She spent her early years in Pensacola and later moved to McDavid and lived with her family on the banks of the Escambia River.
She was a radiant bride on February 24, 1961, when she married James R. (Ronnie) Darby. They built a home and settled on a farm in McDavid. She and Ronnie enjoyed going fishing on the river and gulf shores, traveling to baseball games, playing gin rummy, and big Sunday dinners with their growing family and lots of siblings, nieces and nephews. In 1974 Nancy became a bus driver for Escambia County public schools and for 30 years was the joyful good morning smile to generations of area children.
She and Ronnie enjoyed traveling and had many great adventures (and stories) with her brothers and sisters. They enjoyed watching the sun rise over the Atlantic on Dayton beach; and sunsets over the Pacific coat in Washington. They traveled from coast to coast and north to south.
She was preceded in death by her firstborn daughter, Tracey Lynn Darby Simmons; son-in-law, Henny Simmons; brothers, Jimmie Gunter, Jack Gunter and Louis Gunter.
She is survived by her husband, James R. (Ronnie) Darby; sons, Jaime (and Janine) of St Jacob, Illinois, and Kevin (and Pam) Darby of Herndon, Virginia; grandchildren, Trey (and Aimee) Simmons, Ron (and Nicole) Darby, Amanda (and Luke) Himes, Kristin (and Jeremy) Lambeth, Kyle Simmons, Ben Darby, Sara Darby, Megan Darby and Tristan Darby; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Simmons, Kaylee Himes, Keiton Simmons, Cayden Simmons, Mason Darby, Anzley Himes, Aubree Darby and Trace Lambeth; brother, Joe (and Joyce) Gunter; sisters, Barbara (and Jack) Ryals, Peggy (and Darrell) Barrow; mother-in-law, Delorse Darby; and Piper and Scooter.
Nancy/Granny will be remembered for a great many things. She made the best fried oysters, seafood gumbo, dumplings, greens and peas. She gave the best hugs, always had an ear and a heart to listen and took the time to take you fishing. She was liked by all with whom she was acquainted.
To everyone who has supported us during Nancy’s passing, the family would like to extend our sincere thanks for your many kindnesses and for the condolences and support that we have received.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Barrow officiating.

Helen Kowalski Beadle

Helen Kowalski Beadle died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 4, 2014.
She was born to Frank and Sophie (Bethka) Kowalski in Oswego, NY on March 9, 1922. Two years after finishing high school, she took the train to Montgomery, AL, to marry her true love, Avery Howard Beadle, who was serving there in the Army Air Corps. They were wed in June, 1942. After the war, they moved to Cantonment where Avery worked for the St. Regis Paper Company.
Helen was a devout Catholic and a devoted wife and mother of two children. She was an excellent homemaker, cook, and seamstress. When her children were older, she became certified as a teacher’s aide and worked for several years at Woodham High School and Jim Allen Elementary. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was hard to beat at Scrabble. In later years, she and Avery made several trips to Europe and were active in square and round dancing.
Helen is survived by her husband of 72 years, Avery H. Beadle; two children, Sylvia Beadle Zurko of Colorado, and Gary (Danise) Beadle of Cantonment; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
After cremation she will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date. Faith Chapel North is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Catholic Charities, Habitat for Humanity, or Manna Food Bank.
Friends are invited to visit the family at 100 Morris Avenue in Cantonment, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, December 12.
