Braylee Ann Chevelle Lambert

Braylee Ann Chevelle Lambert, 18 months, of Bratt, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at her residence. She was born on December 11, 2013, to Timothy Lambert and Leslie Whiting, in Andalusia, AL.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Whiting.

Survivors are her parents, Leslie Whiting and Timothy Lambert; grandparents, Donald and Judy Lambert and Dana Whiting; brothers and sisters, Justin Kendrick, Ryan Lambert, Nicholas lambert, Haley Lambert, Brooklyn Lambert, Dexon Lambert, Preston Lambert, Allison Lambert and Cheyanne Lambert; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.

Services will be Thursday July 9, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gibson officiating.

Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

Milton Darrell Criswell

Milton Criswell, 71, of Molino, passed away on July 3, 2015. Milton was born in McCullough, AL to the late James and Jessie Criswell on September 14, 1943. He made construction his life’s work and earned the respect of all colleagues along the way. He loved spending his time working alongside Carlyn, his wife and best friend of 24 years, on countless projects around their cherished home. He was not only a wonderful husband, but also a great father and friend to all he met. The void he leaves behind is one that simply can never be filled, yet we are so immensely grateful for the beautiful years that God allowed us to have with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Candace Moyers.

Milton is survived by his wife, Carlyn; three children, Brice Criswell, Sunday Flowers, and Karen Smith. He is also survived and loved by the two sons he didn’t have to raise, but lovingly chose to, Joseph and Scott Coe. In addition, he leaves behind his two brothers and their wives, Billy and Janie Criswell and Gary and Tammie Criswell; his grandchildren; his great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. We also can’t omit Maggie, the faithful dog that never left his side.

We are forever grateful for Milton Criswell’s life, as well as for the outpouring of love and support from so many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow with Pastor Brian Calhoun officiating.

Burial will be held at Highland Baptist Church in Molino with a reception to follow at the church.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Lee, Anthony Grimm, Ricky Josey, Lamar Goulsby, Jared Criswell, and David Perry.

Della Virginia Dreadin

Della Virginia Dreadin, 80 of Huxford, passed away Wednesday July 1, 2015, at her residence. She was a homemaker, born in Evergreen, AL on November 2, 1934, to the late Sidney D. and Bessie Bell Hawkins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gladdin L. Dreadin; brothers, Sgt. Kenneth Hawkins, Sidney D. Hawkins, Jr. and Paul Ray Hawkins.

Survivors include her son, Robert Dreadin of Huxford; sister, Lucille H. Robbins of Palm Bay, FL; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Hodges officiating.

Interment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 2 p.m.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m.

Ada Dannielle “Nell” Strother

Ada Dannielle “Nell” Strother passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Nell was born in Atmore, AL on October 19, 1938, to the late Charles and Loyette Dunn. She was retired from the Escambia County Sheriffs Department. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Leon Reid; parents; and two sisters, Verbie Charlene Palmer and Majorie Carolyn Penton.

She is survived by her children, Marcus (Patty) Reid of Bay Minette, Wayne (Kay) Reid of Illnois, Renea (Heath) Woodrome, and Daniel (Denise) Reid, both of Bay Minette; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jimmy) Satterfield, Anthoy Thompson, Kelli (Adam) Moon, Sarah Bishop, Angelica Haley, and Steven Owens.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with J. P. Lambert and Jimmy Satterfield officiating.

Burial to follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Reid, Daniel Reid, Adam Moon, and Caleb and Carter Biellier.

Janet “Gran” Crosby

Janet “Gran” Crosby passed away on July 3, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents May and Herbert Licklider and her sister Beverly Gates. She is survived by her husband Ray Crosby, sister Paula Southern (Richard), her children Kim Creamer, Scott Crosby, and grandchildren Julieanna Harmon, Nikoal Creamer, and Mayson Creamer.

Janet was born on December 10, 1947,  in Cuba, MO. She grew up in Pensacola, where she met her soulmate and best friend Ray. They would have been married for 50 years on July 10th. Janet’s purpose in life was to take care of and be mother to all, especially Susan Doyle, Travis and Stephen Gates, Amanda Mims, Daniel Barnett, and Alan and Amanda Smith.

Janet had a passion for life and a love for giving and sharing her joy with others. She volunteered at Molino Park Elementary and Earnest Ward Middle School almost daily. She even received volunteer of the year more than once. She spent 35 years of her life in the insurance business. Her clients were not just clients, they were family to her. She went above and beyond to help them with not only their insurance, but their lives as well. Not only was she in the insurance business, but she was a notary public and conducted weddings for a lot of her clients. She married Travis and Susie Gates, James and Daphne Southern, her nephews.

Gran did not live her life for herself, she lived it for others. To know Gran was to love her. She will be dearly missed.

Elizabeth Christine (Flowers) McGlothren

Elizabeth Christine (Flowers) McGlothren, 81, of Pensacola, passed away on June 29th. 2015, at Covenant Hospice Center located in West Florida Hospital after losing the battle against cancer.

She was born at home on November 8, 1933, in Atmore,to Helon Grissett Flowers and White Hugh Flowers. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, playing games on the computer, listening to country and western and gospel music, spending time with family and tending roses. She maintained the family home while married to her former spouse, Preston J. McGlothren, deceased, while he served in the Army, Air Force and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department.

She is survived by her mother, Helon Grissett Flowers (103), children, Sharon (John) Vonderhaar, Wayne (Melanie) McGlothren, JoAnn Wolff and Martha (Harold) Buttlar; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Curtis James Flowers and Bill Hush Flowers; and sister, Ella Verline Smith.

She was predeceased by her father, Hugh Flowers and granddaughter, Diane Bush.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 South Highway 29, Cantonment, 10:30 a.m.with her son, Wayne McGlothren, officiating. Family viewing will be held from 9:30 – 10:00A a.m., friends from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be held in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens Cemetery located on Nine Mile Road following the services.

Pallbearers are Carl Vonderhaar, Erik Vonderhaar, Paul Hudson, Robert Turpin, David Lewis, Shane Bramlette, John Huffman and George Marcelonis. Honorary pallbearers are John Vonderhaar, Harold Buttlar, Byron Langdon, Michael Watts, Bob Glasgow, Jim Lee, and David Lewis Scott Hutson.

Flemon Earnest Dale, Jr.

lemon Earnest Dale, Jr., 81 years old, passed away on June 29, 2015, in Pensacola.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dale; four daughters, son, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be performed at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 916 Booker St., Cantonment on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1 pm.

Sarah Ann “Sadie” Deweese Haines

Sarah Ann “Sadie” Deweese Haines, of Cantonment, was born in Jasper, AL on December 22, 1935.

She grew up in Eldridge, AL, (Walker County), and graduated from the University of Montevallo with a degree in speech therapy. Sadie taught thousands of Escambia County’s children, and was an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sophia “Sophie” Margaret Walker DeWeese Jackson, and her father, Leo Crawford DeWeese. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Wallace Haines II; sister (cousin) Barbara Walker Jones (Raymond), her children; Richard Wallace Haines III (Toni) and Sarah Leigh Haines Steele (Matthew), five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Sadie had a passion for life and a love for giving and sharing her joy with others. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held, Monday July 6 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 9-10 a.m. Service is at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please bring elementary school supplies to the viewing to be donated to a local elementary school in Pensacola.

Jefferson Smith

Mr. Jefferson Smith, 60, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015, in Foley.

Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. His wife, Linda Smith; parents, Henry and Lula Smith; brothers, Roy James, Johnny Smith and Joel Smith; and sisters, Sarah Libby Paul, Edna Flowers and Ruth Lumbard precede Mr. Smith in death.

Survivors include his two daughters, Shelia (Thomas Lindsey) Smith of Stapleton, AL and Becky Smith (Brandon) Henderson of Atmore; one brother, Marvin (Carol) James of Foley; two sisters, Elaine (Bo) White of Bay Minette and Donna (Don) Nefzer of Mobile; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Jackie) Presley of Pensacola; two grandchildren, Jamie Kimbler and Katie Godwin; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 29, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Welch officiating.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alan (Bo) White, Jimmy White, Phillip White, Kelly White, Billy White and Robbie Garrett.

Honorary pallbearer was Tony Embley.

Curtis Edward Golden

Mr. Curtis Edward Golden, 66, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, in Flomaton.

Mr. Golden was a native of Flomaton, former resident of Illinois, where he lived 28 years, and a resident of Flomaton. Mr. Golden was an avid hunter. His parents, Pete and Sis Golden, precede him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Golden of Flomaton; two sons, Darren (Paula) Golden of Cerro Gordo, IL and Gary Golden of Flomaton; one sister, Debra (Allen) Smith of Flomaton; and two grandchildren, Samantha Murray and Elizabeth Garner.

Graveside services will be Monday, July 6, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Cemetery.
