However God did not mean for Bill to spend his days on earth alone. He once again blessed him with a beautiful woman to have as his wife. He married Clara Eleanor McGhee March 2, 1968. He loved to brag on them all given the opportunity.

Bill will also be remembered for having an unbelievable since of humor. Always telling a joke or planning a prank on someone, and always willing to laugh at himself as well. He enjoyed all sporting events and was an avid golfer for many years. When he moved to Monica Lane, he tried his hand at gardening and was quite a success. He became great friends with his neighbors and would love to sit out on the porch to have his morning coffee and conversation with whom ever showed up that morning, and normally someone did, because whoever it was, would surely learn something new with every talk. There were those in the neighborhood that often referred to him as the Mayor of Monica Lane, always wanting what was best for the neighborhood. He was all these things and so much more.
