Herbert Hare

Herbert Hare, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
He retired from International Paper in 2008. Herbert loved fishing, hunting, just being outside and usually working in his shed.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Audrey; three children, Stephanie (Jason) Comalander, Eric Hare (Tabitha Roberts) and Vanessa Hare; six grandchildren, Eric, Destanie, Jasmine, Zachery, Jason Jr. and Little Raylee; one brother, Bartis (Brenda) Hare; one step-sister, Sue Fillingim; one step brother, Ray Gene White; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Active pallbearers were James Hare, Jeff Hare, Joseph Hare, Tracey Hare, Matthew Freeman, and Elliot Ross.
Interment was in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Robertsdale.
In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted in Herbert’s name towards funeral expenses.
Halee Nickole Boyd-Bush

Halee was born October 6, 1994 to Daniel Jason “Jake” Boyd and Martha “Mardi” Elizabeth (Gatlin) Jernigan in Pensacola, Fl. She was a 2014 graduate of Tate High School where she was a member of the Beta Club and attended Pensacola State College. She was a longtime member of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and served as a volunteer for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Organization.
Halee is survived by her devoted husband Sidney Albert Bush, loving brother Spencer Boyd, adoring grandparents Mary Crawley of Lemoore, CA and Dan and Linda Boyd of Pensacola, loving great-grandmother Isabel “Mamu” Goss of Pensacola, stepfather Keith Jernigan and step-sister Kandace Jernigan of Munson, FL, beloved adopted puppy Nova and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A celebration of Halee’s life will be held on November 14, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 800 E. 9 Mile Road, Pensacola, Fl with the Pastor Jeff Howard officiating. Visitation is at 9:00 a.m. and the service is at 11:00 a.m. Halee specifically asked that no one wear black to her service. In lieu of flowers she requested donations be made in her honor to Muttnation Foundation (www.muttnationfoundation.com) or to Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida, 1020 North Orlando Avenue, Suite 100, Maitland, FL 32751.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Joanne Lagmay and the staff at Shand’s Children’ hospital, the doctors, nurses and staff at Sacred Heart Children’s hospital, and to Covenant Hospice for all the love and care they provided. We would also like to thank the entire community for the outpouring of love and support you provided Halee and her family during her illness. Halee’s motto was “When you have something to live for, you can’t stop fighting” and she lived up to that every day of her life! You were our angel on Earth Halee and now you’re an angel in God’s arms! We love you!
Glen Shannon Taylor

Glen Shannon Taylor, 50 of Atmore, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2015, in Walnut Hill. He was a mechanic with Offshore Oil Industry. He was born in Atmore on February 23, 1965, to Albert Austin and Patricia McBride Taylor.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Austin Taylor.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Patricia Taylor (Feldman) Frymire of Atmore; two sons, Anthony Austin Taylor of Pensacola and Nolan Cole Taylor of Indianapolis, ID; two daughters, Lachlan Taylor of Bay Minette and Kelsey Taylor of Flomaton; one sister, Alissa Taylor of Redondo Beach, CA; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Jacob, Jaxin, Easton, Kiley and Callen.
Services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 12 p.m. at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating.
Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Feldman Frymire, Jason Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Nolan Taylor, Will Taylor and Sammy Lee.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until service time.

Marcus Eugene Johnson

Marcus Eugene Johnson, age 61, of Century, finished his course on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the Baptist Hospital in Jay.
He is the son of Doris Laird Johnson and the late David Donald Johnson, Sr., owners of Park Funeral Home in DeFuniak Springs, FL.
Marcus began his law enforcement career in the DeFuniak Springs Police Department under Chief Clinton Hooks. He spent several years as part of the Walton County Sheriff Department under Sheriff Quinn McMillian. Both added greatly to his career which led to the Florida Department of Corrections where his highest rank was Colonel.
Marcus was large in stature with a big heart and a caring personality. He was quiet in the sense that many confided in him with assurance. He was firm, fair and focused. He gave his best and expected no less from others.
Memories of Marcus will forever be enshrined in the heart of his wife, Sherry C. Johnson; children, Candace D. (Jimmy) Jones and Vincent D. (Senetria) Longmire, Sr.; grandchildren, Camryn D. Johnson, Caitlyn D. Johnson, Vincent D. Longmire, Jr., Amare’ D. Longmire, Jalen Jones and Alexis Jones; his mother, Doris L. Johnson; siblings, David (Denise) Johnson, Jr. and Lori (Reverend Russell) Hughes; father and mother-in-law, Alfonzie and Martha Cottrell; aunts and uncles, Gussie (Ed) Maynor and family, Mary Johnson and family, Vivian Rhodes and family, Jerry Johnson and family, Joe (Nellie) Johnson and family, Russell (Betsy) Johnson and family, Leo Cottrell and family, Andrew Cottrell and family, James (Mary) Cottrell and family, Edward (Emma) Armstrong and family; great aunt, Juanita Sheffield; nieces, Micah P. James Earl Taylor

James Earl Taylor, age 59, of Milton, went to be with Jesus on Friday, October 30, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Labron and mother, Laura Jones Taylor.
He left behind four siblings, Jerome (Lori) Taylor, Jeffery (Karla) Taylor, Sherry Taylor and Sandra (Van) Carroll; many nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. James loved everyone and he was loved by everyone. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and helping anyone he could. He will be missed greatly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 3 p.m. at Cobbtown Holiness Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time.

Sharon Arnold, 56 of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, formerly of Munson, passed away peacefully at her home on October 14, 2015, surrounded with family and friends.
She was born October 8, 1959, in Munson to Alfred and Annette Butler. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, nana, and friend. She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Butler and her beloved husband, Eddie Arnold Sr.
She is survived by her loving mother, Annette Butler; sisters, Sheila (Bo) Watts; Susan Butler; and brothers, Larry (Gloria) Butler and Steve (Robin) Butler; her loving children, Lisa (James) Griffin; Starleigh (Timothy) Maulden; and Shawn Arnold (Michelle Rose); and her loving fiancée, Teddy Norwood Sr; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sharon’s Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Springhill Baptist Church at 1 p.m.
Sharon wanted to go home with a Celebration of her Life, so we are requesting that if you have a picture of you and Sharon to please bring a copy and place on our memory board to share your most precious memories of her!

Mr. Willard Theodore Creamer, age 74 of Byrneville, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at his home.
Mr. Creamer was a native and lifelong member of the Byrneville community where during his working years, he worked for the Escambia County Sheriffs Department as a guard. He was a member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Gladys Margaret Creamer; and stepson, Raymond O. Mills, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Creamer of Mortan’s Gap, KY; daughters, Cindy (Larry) Stuckey of Byrneville, Lindy Hawsey of Atmore, and Mary Ann Mills of Atmore; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mitch Herring officiating.

Lillie Mae Gay, age 84, of Jay’s Dixonville community passed away October 30, 2015. She was born January 2, 1931, in Dozier, Alabama to Eurie and Allie Berry. She was a member of Whitefield Assembly of God Church and a loving mother,grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleve”Bud” Gay; brothers, James Berry, Junior Berry, Jimmy Berry and two infant brothers; sisters, Doris Cook, Sybil Dorough,and Ellafier Springer and daughter-in-law, Sandra Pritt.
She is survived by sons, Cleve E. and Pamela Gay, William Gay, and Steve M. and Frances Gay; daughter, Teresa and Judson Carden; grandchildren, Lynette Davis, Stacey Carter, Michael D. Gay, Cheyanne Gay, Christopher Moon and Sonya Moon; great-grandchildren, Charles Lavern, Ashtain Davis, Mahgell Davis, Mia Davis, Wesley Carter, Johnathan Carter, Meagan Carter, Alexis Moon, Christopher Moon, Jr., Brock Elliot, Brandon Elliot, Brylon Elliot, and Steve Gay; brother, Jesse Berry; sisters, Peggy Lewandowski and Glenda and Judd Granger.

Mrs. Ruby King Lewis, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in Pensacola.
Mrs. Lewis was a native of Molino, former resident of Bay Minette and resided in Bay Springs, FL, most of her life. Mrs. Lewis attended the Horse Neck Community Holiness Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Lewis, Sr., one son, Rodger Dale Lewis, one infant daughter, one infant son, three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by onesSon, Frankie Lee (Ann) Lewis, Jr. of Molino; two daughters, Elizabeth Lewis (Ronnie) Faulk of Walnut Hill and Sara N. (Eddie) Figureid of Pensacola; one brother, Paul David King of Pensacola; three sisters, Mary Blair of Century, Rosa Mobley of Ensley, and Sara Jane Stewart of Cantonment; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Bay Springs Full Gospel Church with Rev. Brandon Stophel officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bay Springs Cemetery.

Kathleen Bracken Becker

Kathleen B. Becker, 93 of Cantonment, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015. She was born on May 11, 1922, in Appleton, AL to the late Edgar and Lily Craigmile. Kathleen retired from Monsanto with over 25 years of service. She was a loving mother, housewife, sister, and avid gardener. She was involved in her local community helping in churches, and education with Public Broadcasting Station (PBS).
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph E. Bracken and Claus Becker; and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Ty (Glenda) Bracken, Ralphene Bracken Eshleman, Beverly Bracken (Terry) Williams, and Roy L. Bracken; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Dees officiating.
Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery in Brewton.
