Voncile B. Lassitter 94, of McCullough, AL, passed away May 4, 2016, in McCullough. She was born on November 30, 1921, in McCullough to the late Levy and Bessie Walker Bryant. She was a member of Huxford Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jon W. Lassitter; siblings, Eulie Bryant, Victoria “T” Cooper and Alma Stewart.
She is survived by one son, William “Benford” (Gail) Lassitter of Wade, MS and one daughter, Joyce Woolley of Newton, MS; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Huxford Baptist Church with Bro. James Boyd officiating.
Burial was in McCullough Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ricky Wasdin, Gerald Parmer, James Plant, Olen Parmer, Caleb Lassitter and John Woolley.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Booker, William Gorum, Joe Coker, Terrell Mason and Ralph Purnell.

Bernard A. “Skippy” Brown, 74, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He was born and raised in Pensacola, where he most enjoyed walking on the beach, eating fresh seafood, and running into friends at the T&W Flea Market. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Skippy never met a stranger and maintained lifelong friendships, many whom he met as the owner of Quality Auto Parts in Ensley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, George E. Brown and Sara Ann Turberville.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Quinn Brown; son, Anthony Brown (Barbara); and daughters, Denise Blanton, Deanna Lucia (Tom), and Laurie Vincent (Timmy). He was PawPaw to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Skippy’s personal quote and daily life goal was “Just Good Clean Living.”
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel North with Brother Ed Guernsey officiating.
Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Marolyn Seay Lancaster, age 75, of Pensacola, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2016.
She was born a few minutes before her twin on January 20, 1941, in Rosinton, AL, and attended school in Stapleton, AL and Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette.
She met the love of her life, Zearl Lancaster, at a Christian youth gathering, a Singsperation, in Robertsdale and was married to him for the next 58 amazing years.
When we think of our mother, wife, sister and friend we think of lover of God, mother, wife, friend, graceful, wise, compassionate, musician, encourager, minister, good neighbor, counselor, wife of elected official, bridal shop owner, wedding coordinator, caterer, U.S. Deputy Marshal, transporter of fugitives for the U. S. Government, marksman (sharp-shooter), comforter, inspirer, edifier, cook, hospitable, gracious, kind, longsuffering, gentle, merciful, peacemaker, exuberant laughter, humorous, joyful, intuitive and so many things that words cannot describe nor ink to pen. She’ll truly be missed.
Marolyn was preceded in death by her parents, D.D. Sawyer, John Wesley Seay, Sallie Mosely-Sawyer-Bain; and brother, Gerald Seay.
She is survived by her husband, Zearl Lancaster; daughters, Daphne Richbourg, Cindy Granger (Kevin); and son, Greg Lancaster (Donna), seven grandchildren, ten (+3) great-grandchildren; twin sister, Carolyn Seay Hudson; and brothers, James Seay and Wendell Seay.
Family visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016, from 4:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with open visitation from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Family-Funeral Home, 7253 Plantation Road in Pensacola.

Mrs. Jannette Kendrick Sells, 65, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016, in Atmore.
Mrs. Sells was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. Mrs. Sells was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She loved to fish, and loved to be outdoors.
She was a member of the Poarch Community Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lila Kendrick; and one brother, Robert Lee Kendrick.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Toney Gene Sells of Atmore; one son, Tony Eugene Sells and wife, Catelyn of Atmore; one daughter, Daphane Sells Hamilton of Atmore; five brothers, John Carlton Kendrick of Bay Minette, Charles Kendrick of Georgiana, AL, Calvin Kendrick of Atmore, Melton Kendrick of Atmore, and David Kendrick of Robertsdale; five sisters, Faye Owens of Silver Hill, AL, Mary Pizzotti of Fairhope, Ann Nelson of Daphne, Billie Ann Edwards of Atmore and Carol Melvin of Atmore; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Poarch Community Church with Rev. Trevor Daughtery, and Rev. Johnny Stabler officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016, from 6 p.m. until service time Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Poarch Community Church.

Mrs. Margaret Gail Fillingim Chavers, 59, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in Jay.
Mrs. Chavers was a native of Bluff Springs and a resident of McDavid for the past forty years. Mrs. Chavers was a very special Nana Gail to many. Mrs. Chavers was a Sunday school teacher. She was an employee of Masland Carpets for 27 years, a friend to everyone, and an animal lover.
She is preceded in death by her husband, “Seabo” Chavers Sr.; father, Thomas F. Fillingim Sr.; brother, Neal and wife, Sonya Fillingim; and one step-son, Van Chavers.
She is survived in death by her mother, Louise Fillingim Dockers of McDavid; one son, Seaborn Chavers, Jr. and his wife Debbie, of TN; one special son, Alvin Paul, of Atmore; two daughters, Belinda and husband Morris Norman, of Bridge City, TX, Forest Chavers Barber and husband Wayne, of Port Neches, TX’; two brothers, Thomas F. Fillingim, Jr. and his wife Faye, of McDavid, John R. and wife Patsy Fillingim of Jay; one sister, Susan and husband Leslie Barnes, of McDavid; and many very special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was in Christian Home Cemetery.

Mr. Roy Wilbon Shivers, Sr., 81, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, in Flomaton.
Mr. Shivers was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. Mr. Shivers was the founding member and Chairman of the Deacons of the Unity Baptist Church. He was general manager at Sheltex Manufacturing company and part owner and CEO of Nutex until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Geneva Rolin Shivers; parents; six brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by is two sons, Roy (Wendy) Shivers, Jr. of Atmore and Kenny Shivers of Flomaton; two brothers, Joe Shivers, Sr. of Flomaton and Harvey Shivers of Newton, AL; five grandchildren, Michael (Sherra) Shivers of Dothan, AL, Brian (Rebekah) Shivers of Canoe, Dakota Madison of Clarksville, TN, Wyatt Madison of Clarksville, TN and Nikolas Shivers of Flomaton; seven great-grandchildren, Bethany Ealum, Rachel Shivers, Lani Shivers, Michael Shivers Jr., Khyleigh Colvin, James Madison and Charliey Madison.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Fox and Josh Long officiating.

Mrs. Judith Marie Walker Dove, 70, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, in Davisville.
Mrs. Dove was a native of Jacksonville, FL and a resident of Davisville since 1971. She attended the Pine Barren Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee A. and Mary L. Walker.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years and six months, Ronald Dove of Davisville; three sons, Ronald Dove, Jr., Patrick (Laurie) Dove and Christopher Dove, all of Davisville; two sisters, Mary Lee Shipley of Charlotte, NC and Debbie Sorkin of Lake Toxaway, NC; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Harper officiating.
Burial will be at the Pine Barren Cemetery.

Glenda Ann (Morgan) Hairston

Mrs. Glenda Ann (Morgan) Hairston of Molino passed away at her home in Molino in the early hours on April 29, 2016. She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her husband George of 53 years, her daughters, and grandchildren.
Born August 2, 1943, Glenda was the daughter of Duke and Essie Morgan. She was a lifelong resident of Molino and a lifelong member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Glenda was a devoted wife and homemaker. She loved to travel. She and George visited many of the 50 states. She had a sense of adventure and was always up for a challenge, including hang gliding and hot air ballooning. She had a contagious smile and an amazing sense of humor. She was a small package, with a big personality!
Glenda was everyone’s favorite aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love her.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband George and their two daughters, Terra Reading and her husband, John, Vicki Holland and her husband James; five grandchildren, Emily Reading, Molly Reading Tingle, Savannah Holland Page, Joshua Holland, and Madeline Holland; two great-grandsons, Leo James Page, and Liam Warren Raggard; sister, Bennie Morgan Creel of South Dakota, brother Charles Morgan of Mississippi, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment, Florida on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 5-8 p.m.. There will be a small memorial for family and close friends at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Molino at 10 a.m. on Tuesday May 3, 2016, followed by a brief graveside service.

Hazel B. McCullough, 79 of Walnut Hill, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Pensacola. She was a homemaker. She was born in Pineville on June 29, 1936, to the late Arthur Lee and Eula Seales Barlow.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny McCullough.
Survivors include two sons, Steven McCullough of Enon and John (Kim) McCullough of Dry Springs; one daughter, Angela (Bill) English of Walnut Hill; one brother, Jerry (Debbie) Barlow of Dry Springs; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Emily, John Wesley, Hannah, Abby, Vanesse, Kendra, Destiny, and Jedd; seven great-grandchildren and two on the way.
Services will be Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating.
Interment will follow in Dry Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be John Wesley McCullough, Mason Coleman, Hunter Milliken, Jesse McCullough, Jason Barlow and Bob McCullough.

Altha Correne Walker, 98, of Atmore, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Atmore. She was a homemaker. She was born in Frisco City, AL, on July 31, 1917, to the late Alton and Annie Bailey Byrd. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, C.E.Walker; son, Sylvester Chavers; daughter, Dorothy Joiner; and grandsons, Lee Graves and Tony Joiner.
Survivors include one son, James (Nell) Walker of Gulf Port, MS; two daughters, Doris Graves of Range, AL and Loyce (Bill) Parker of Chelan, Washington; one sister, Laverne (Ray) Digmon of Atmore; three grandchildren, Sonny, Dorie and Tammy; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.L. Langford officiating.
Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Butch Lee, Ricky Crook, Daniel White, David Langford, Jimmy Langford, and Carlos Albritton.
