Patricia Vaughan

Patricia (Tricia) Vaughan, 52, of Walnut Hill, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Atmore Community Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Tricia was born in Atmore on October 21, 1963. She went to high school at Ernest Ward High School, where she met her future husband, Byron, and graduated in 1981. She and Byron were married in Walnut Hill Baptist Church on July 1, 1983. Byron and Tricia moved to Texas shortly after their marriage, but returned to Atmore after 20 years to open and run B & T’s Texas Style BBQ. Tricia was well known and loved in the community and an active member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering with the pre-school Sunday School classes and in the nursery.
Tricia is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Bryars; sister, Rita Faye Bryars; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Henry and Frances Vaughan.
Tricia is survived by her loving husband, Byron; daughter, Kalyn (Derek) Parker; and son, Kevin. She is also survived by her mother, Patricia Amon; three sisters, Jackie (Danny) Gregg, Becky Angeles, and Cathy Bryars; one brother, Henery (Susie) Pugh; brother-in-law, Ken (Kelly) Vaughan; sister-in-law, Micaela (Scott) Fuller; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Walnut Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Ted Bridges officiating. A graveside service will follow along with a reception in the church fellowship hall.
Pallbearers will be David Gregg, Nicholas Angeles, Todd Wiggins, Marion Cooper, Ben Porter, and David Bell.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Southern Cancer Centers of Alabama and Atmore Community Hospital and the caring staff at both facilities, to the members of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, and to all family and friends who prayed for Tricia and her family during this difficult time.

Eva Mae Locke Fuqua

Mrs. Eva Mae Locke Fuqua, 85, of Jay, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Westfield, FL and a former resident of McLellan, FL before moving to Jay. Mrs. Fuqua was a member of the McLellan Holiness Church. She was a retired pine tree nursery grader and a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Marshall (Fay) Fuqua of Baker, Earl (Phyllis) Fuqua of Brewton, Michael Wayne (Bobbie) Fuqua of Brewton; one sister, Annie Ruth Walthrip of Washington; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; special caregivers and family, Mike and Nancy Cottrell of Jay.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mallory Lee Fuqua; and parents, Walker and Helen Spears Fuqua.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 22, 2016, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Johnson and Rev. Allen Qualls officiating.
Interment was in Fuqua-Haveard Cemetery in Brewton.

Wrecil Shehan

Mr. Wrecil “Bud” Shehan, 89, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, in Atmore.
Mr. Shehan was a native of Lower Peach Tree, AL and a resident of Atmore for the past 75 years. He was a retired Police Captain with the Atmore Police Department with over 21 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War, served two tours and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Posse. He helped various farmers and spent his life serving the public and helping people.
He is preceded in death by his son, Rusty Shehan; and daughter, Judy McDonald.
He is survived by one son, Marvin Shehan; one daughter, Rebecca “Becky” (Douglas) Rolin of Atmore; one sister, Quida Pearl Jacobson of Silver Hill, AL; one granddaughter, Lynn Petty McGhee of Mobile; one grandson, Troy Shehan; one great-grandson, T.J. McGhee; and five step-grandsons, Justin Rolin of Atmore, Dylan Rolin of Ocean Springs, MS, Hunter Rolin of Frisco City, AL, Sean Rolin of Atmore and Cody Rolin of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 20, 2016, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Rushing officiating.
Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Brunson, Mike Bowen, Glenn Carlee, Rodney Johnson, James Delbert Clemmons and Delmar Weaver.

Huey Clifton King

Huey Clifton King, 69, of Bradley Road Roberts Community in Brewton, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, in a Pensacola medical facility after a brief illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Army veteran having served during Vietnam. He was a retired mail carrier from the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Loretta Dubose King of Brewton; daughter, Lisa Pritchett of East Brewton; step-children, Greg Wilson of Atmore and Pam Dinkins of East Brewton; three brothers, Earl King of Cantonment, Bill King of Brewton, and Ralph King of Allentown, FL; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and mother of his children, Mary Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Martha Fuqua King; and son, Scotty King.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2016, from 10 a.m. until noon at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at noon at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. John Lambeth officiating.
Interment will follow in Elim Cemetery in Roberts Community in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Gearldine Booker

Gearldine Booker, 84, of Cantonment, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was born May 15, 1932, in Jay. Ms. Booker was a member of Assembly of God Church and served in the United States Army.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Warrick Booker; and her two brothers, Leonard and Willma Booker.
She is survived by her brother, J.C. Booker; sister-in- law, Marvel Booker; sisters, Kayron Hall, Bernadine Harper and Miley Nims; brother-in- law, Frank Nims; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Danny Rae Hall, Kenny Malone, Ralph Story, Rodney Story, Orlando Lopez and Kevin Turner.
Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Thursday, July 28, 2016, beginning at 1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at Spruell Cemetery.

Carol went to be with her sunshine, David, on July 19, 2016, at the age of 57. Carol was born on May 19, 1959, in Columbus, OH to Nelson and Betty Harper. Carol moved with her family to Florida when she was a child. Carol attended Tate High School in Cantonment where she met David. Carol was your true country girl. She worked in the construction industry, loved to hunt, fish, sit on the river bank and watch Alabama football. She never wore make-up and loved her white t-shirts and anything with Alabama “ROLL TIDE” on it. A dress…what’s that?! The one thing she did do like a girl was talk on the phone. Carol settled down with David in Orrville, AL and had a wonderful life with him enjoying their shared hobbies.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, David Reeves; mom, Betty Harper; dad, Nelson Hane Sr.; brother, Charles Hane; sister-in- law, Cheety Hane; and stepdad, Delbert Harper.
Carol leaves behind a family that loves and misses her dearly including her brothers, Nelson Hane (Nettie) and Kenny Hane (Donna); sisters, Diana Howard (JR) and Sandy Whitfield (Doug); sister-in- law, Marcelle Perritt (Dwight); and an abundance of nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 25, 2016, at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment with Pastor Larry Nickles officiating.
Burial will be at Gonzalez United Methodist Church in Gonzalez.

Robert Lee “Bob” Lambeth, age 76 of Hwy 31 in Flomaton, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, in a Pensacola hospice facility after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. Mr. Lambeth was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, a 1959 graduate of Flomaton High School, and was a retired pulp mill tech from Container Corporation of America with 39 years of service. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Hudson Lambeth of Flomaton; one son, Darrell (Elaine) Lambeth of Deltona, FL; one daughter, Sonya (Mirza) Beg of Tuscaloosa, AL; two brothers, James (Mildred) Lambeth of Flomaton and Millard Lambeth of Brewton; two sisters, Teresa Smith and Codie (Dan) Wedgeworth, all of Flomaton; six grandchildren, Amber Beg, Adam Beg, Cameron Beg, Taylor Lambeth, Tyler Lambeth, and Tiffany Lambeth.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Dr. Harold Quinton Wilson, 88, of Atmore, passed away July 16, 2016, in Bay Minette. He was born in Brantley, Alabama on January 28, 1928, to Otis and Elizabeth Wilson.
He served in the United States Navy. He graduated from Kinston High School on May 24, 1946, and was inducted into the National Beta Club of the Kinston High School on April 7, 1944. Registry of Medical Technologist of American Society of Clinical Pathologists-Medical Technologist 1953. PhiBetaPi- Harold Wilson of Samson Alabama has been initiate by the Sigma Chapter of medical College of Alabama February 17, 1954. The University of Alabama conferred on Harold Quinton Wilson the degree of Bachelor of Science August 24, 1954. The University of Alabama, The Medical College of Alabama has conferred on Harold Quinton Wilson the degree of Doctor of Medicine June 2, 1957. The State Licensing Board for the Healing Arts April 1, 1960, The Governor of the State of Alabama presented Harold Wilson Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Aide-de-Camp in the Alabama State Militia January 14, 1972. Saint Vincent Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama Harold Quinton Wilson Intern from July 1, 1957-1958. College of American Pathologist Greenlawn Hospital H.Q. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. from the Ino Baptist Church Cemetery in Ino, AL. with military honors.

Robert Francis deGraaf, Sr.

Robert Francis deGraaf, Sr. passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, at the age of 78. Robert was born on May 25, 1938, in Robertsdale. He graduated from McGill High School in Mobile and he attended Southern Mississippi University for three years. He was a Quality Control Technician with Monsanto Company for 34 years before retiring in 1993.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, “tinkering” around the house and enjoying time with family. He was a member at Little Flower Catholic Church in Pensacola.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Helen deGraaf; and his son, Robert “Bobby” deGraaf, Jr.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth deGraaf; his daughter, Kim Nelson and Helen Leary; his son, David deGraaf; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Necaise; and brother, Michael deGraaf.
Funeral services will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, with a reception to follow in Marian Hall.
The burial will be held at Fairhope Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fairhope at 3 p.m.

Thomas Richard Moore

Thomas Richard Moore, 68, of Cantonment, went home to the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2016.
Survivors include his mother, Mary C. Tugwell; sister, Rhonda Moore Marvell of Newport, RI; two children, Gindy Lacey of Pensacola and Thomas R. Moore of Pensacola; two grandchildren, Skeila and Andrew; special nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Tommy was born December 13, 1947, in Pensacola to the late Avery D. Moore and Mary C. Tugwell. He served his country with bravery and determination and was part of the elite Green Berets. He had an adventurous career as a Florida Highway Patrol.
Tommy had an avid love of fishing and hunting and was an expert with his bow while hunting deer. Anytime he could not be found on land, he was almost always on the water somewhere fishing. He was an expert fisherman and was an excellent cook as well. He was a devoted son and loved his mother greatly. He also enjoyed time with his grandchildren and watching them learn and grow.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2016, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.
Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
