Eric Leon Rolin

Mr. Eric Leon Rolin, 46, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, in Booneville, Alabama.
Mr. Rolin was a native of Poarch, AL and a resident of Booneville, AL for most of his life. Mr. Rolin loved farming, was a truck driver and a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lee Rolin; grandparents, Woodrow and Estle Rolin; grandfather, Milton Sells; nephew, Ethan Warden; and two uncles, Melvin Sells and Van Sells.
He is survived by his mother, Hattie Sells Knowles of Poarch, AL; wife, Kimberly Hardy Rolin of Booneville, AL; one son, Coty (Brooke) Rolin of Poarch, AL; one brother, Waylon (Valorie) Rolin of Poarch, AL; one sister, Janet (Mitch Hammack) Welch of Range, AL and one granddaughter, Zhoie Rolin.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial was at the New Home Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Andrews, Shawn Rolin, Ron Marshall, Clint Lassiter, Eddie Jackson and Shelton Sells.
Honorary pallbearers were Dillon Rolin, Brady Rolin and Damon Rolin.

Georgie Mae Kyles Showers

Georgie Mae Kyles Showers was born on March 11, 1927, in Franklin, Alabama to the late Adam and Nancy Kyles, Ur. She attended school in Franklin, Alabama. She was a homemaker but also worked at KFC and did child care.
She was a member of Bethel AFM Church of God for over 60 years. Mother Showers loved her family, church and friends.
On October 8, 2016, Mother Showers found eternal peace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Showers; son, Robert Lee Kyles; and, daughter, Debra Ann Fountain.
She leaves to cherish and mourn in pleasant memories four children, Eliza Walker-Scott of Jacksonville, FL; Arthur Bradley Jr. (Mae Carol) of Pearlington, MS; Dr. Willie D. Bradely (Deater) of Cleveland, OH; and, Georgia Lee Bailey (Charles) of Jackson, MI; two sisters, Mary Alice Peavy and Jane Alice Kyles of Atmore, AL; three brothers, James Kyles (Ora-D) of Atmore, AL; Leonard Kyles; and, LeRoy Kyles (Diane) of Chicago, IL; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Interment was in Century Cemetery.
Pallbearers and Flower bearers were family and friends.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Jackson McMurray Funeral Home of Century, FL.
Jesse Sewell Stanton

Jesse Sewell Stanton, 87 of Atmore, AL, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016, in Atmore, AL. He was a retired farmer, born on December 16, 1928, in Atmore to the late Jesse and Pauline “Polly” Sewell Stanton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received the Purple Heart and 3 Bronze Stars.
He is preceded in death by his Aunt Rene Stanton.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Gladys Moye Stanton; two sons, Dennis (Lee Ann) Stanton and Charles Stanton, all of Robinsonville, AL; one daughter, Judy (Steve) Lambert of Robertsdale, AL; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Larry W. Renfroe officiating.
Interment was in Canoe United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wade Kirby, Jason Kirby, Gary Helton, Roger Helton, Butch Black and Chris Black.
Honorary was the VFW.

Louise Beane

Louise Beane, 89, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on November7, 2016, of natural causes. Louise was born in Pensacola on January 2, 1927. She graduated from Pensacola High School.
Louise worked as a dispatcher for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and as a Correctional Officer for the Escambia County Jail for 28 years. She enjoyed watching golf, football, and baseball, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
Louise is survived by her four children, Patricia Bryan, Nancy Moore, Vicky Peavy, and Sonny Beane; her grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Queenie White; her sister, Leona Polsky; and her brother, Gene White.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on November 11, 2016, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Faith Chapel North Funeral Home.
Clayton Lawton Flowers

Clayton Lawton Flowers, 75 of Nokomis, AL, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016, in Mobile, AL. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was born in Atmore, AL on February 7, 1941, to the late Gay and Grace White Flowers. He attended Presley Street Church of Christ, was a flight instructor, barber and farmer.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Jane Flowers; siblings, Winston Flowers, Joyce Flowers Nall, and Betty Flowers Norris.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Flowers; one son, Scotty (Karen) Flowers all of Nokomis, AL; two daughters, Cyndi Flowers McGhee of Spanish Fort, AL and Amanda Flowers (Tripp) Dawson of Nokomis, AL; one sister, Evelyn Flowers (Jim) Pipkin of Nokomis, AL; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis and Bro. John Coleman officiating.
Interment was in Godwin Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Adam McGhee, Cameron McGhee, Nicholas Flowers, Bradley Flowers, Josh Turner, and Brian Huskey.

Nell Sue Wachob Webb

Mrs. Nell Sue Wachob Webb, 89, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was a native of Atmore. She was the wife of the late Dr. Hal Webb and the daughter of Jesse Leander Wachob and Hattie Sue Dungan Wachob, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, NC.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Webb Benge and husband David of Mebane; two sons, David Webb and wife Melanie of Homer, Alaska and Barry Webb and wife Cheryl of Rawlings, MD; six grandchildren, Lauren Cole, Jordan Benge, Tiffany Donnelly, Lauralee Young, Bethany Herwalt and Rachel Smith; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at Oakhill Cemetery in Atmore on Monday, October 31, 2016.

Mrs. Myrtle “Granny” Rutherford, 79, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, in Atmore, Alabama.
Mrs. Rutherford was a native of Lottie, AL and a resident of Atmore, AL for most of her life. She was retired from Vanity Fair with 46 years of service. She sat with elderly people, and was affectionately known as “Granny” to those that knew her. She was a member of the Cross Point Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Eugene “Gene” Rutherford; a son, David Wayne Rutherford; three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Rutherford (Tony) Peebles of Robinsonville, AL and Wanda Rutherford (Mike) Plant of Dunnellon, FL; one brother, Jerry Hall of Perdido, AL; three grandchildren, Chad (Evelyn) Kelley, Jennifer Kelley and Chasity (David) Daniel and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. C.L. Langford and Rev. J.T. Guyton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Infant Helena Evelyn Bowen was born on October 21, 2016, and passed away on October 22, 2016, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Survivors include her father, Jason Bowen of McDavid, FL; Mother, Jennifer Smith of McDavid, FL; one brother, Westley Smith of McDavid, FL; one sister, Madison Bowen of Tallassee, AL; grandparents, Darlene Buckhault of Atmore, AL, David Dunn of Atmore, AL, Gary Buckhault of Pleasant Grove, AL and Mary and Edward Bowen of Tallassee, AL; and great-grandparents, Florine Wiggins of Bratt, FL, Lois Bowen of Tallassee, AL and Nolan and Carol Matthews of Tallassee, AL.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Bratt Assembly of God Church with Rev. Travis Bittle and Rev. Rick MaHarrey officiating.

Catherine McGhee Dees

Catherine McGhee Dees, 79, of Molino and Pensacola, FL went home October 23, 2016, to be with her Lord and loved ones that have gone before and to wait for her loved ones still earthly bound to join them. She was born in Huxford, AL on July 10, 1937, to the late Garland and Gladys Lucille Hayes McGhee, Sr. She graduated from Escambia County High School in 1955 and from Alverson Draughon Business College in 1957 and started her work life at Chemstrand/Monsanto for 33 years. Rather than retire from working she went back to school and took a course in Medical Transcription and started another work life at the Medical Center Clinic where she met Shella and made many friends there.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven E. Dees,Sr. and her brother, Garland “Plugy” McGhee, Jr.
She is survived by a niece, Catherine Nicole Harris; and her great-nephews, Jacob Boatner and Daniel Boatner. She leaves behind many friends including two very special friends who have shared the latter part of her life, Ron Schmitt and Shella Britt, her “Dinner Club” friends; her goddaughter, Regina Catherine Ernsbarger, Becky Lowe and Sherry Lowe and of course their parents, Carol and Jim Lowe.
Services will be Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Heard officiating.
Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens.
Family will receive friends, Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.

Mr. Charles Evon Johnson, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, in Flomaton, Alabama.
Mr. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. He was a Deacon, was a member of the Alabama Forestry Association and the Poplar Dell Baptist Church. He owned Timber Transport, Evon’s Trucking and Southern Truck Repair. He is preceded in death by his wife, Grace Johnson; parents, Earl and Era Mae Johnson; and two infant siblings, a boy and girl.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda M. Johnson of Flomaton; five daughters, Barbara (David) Adams of Flomaton, Debra (Charlie) Yoder of Brewton, AL, Krystal Bomba of Bay Minette, AL, Charlene “Charlie” Johnson of Flomaton and Brittanie Grace Johnson of Flomaton; one step-son, Jerry Wayne Carnley, Jr. of Flomaton; one step-daughter, Karen Stacey of Flomaton; two brothers, Glen (Dolores) Johnson of Flomaton, and Douglas (Jacque) Johnson of Pineview, AL; one sister, Delores (Judson) Carden of Flomaton; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mitch Herring and Rev. Ricky Tedder officiating.
