Glen McDaniel

Glen McDaniel, 83, of Cantonment, FL, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016. Glen was born in Darlington, FL on October 2, 1933, to the late Randall McDaniel and Mary Morrison McDaniel. Glen graduated from Walton County High School in DeFuniak Springs, FL in 1953. He then attended Massey-Draughn Business College in Montgomery, AL for two years, and then was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served for two years in the Signal Corps during the Korean War Conflict. He met his wife, Joyce, while stationed at Ft. Carson near Colorado Springs, CO. They were married in Pensacola, FL on March 2, 1957.
Glen served on the Florida Highway Patrol for 30 years and retired at the rank of Captain and at the time of retirement was District Commander of Northwest Florida. He was a member of Glendale Masonic Lodge receiving his 60 year pin recently. Glen was a member of the Masonic Memorial Team in Pensacola, Chaplain (emeritus) of Zelica Grotto, and member of the Scottish Rite. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and hunter. He was a member of the Dogwood Dulcimer Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Lunete, Florence, Lyndell and Rosetta.
Glen is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Alan (Susan) McDaniel; daughter, Gretchen (George) Tolbert; grandchildren, Shelby (Mike) Williams, Josh (Savana) Hatten, Jonathan Tolbert, Kelly, Cara and Jacob McDaniel; and his sister, Mabel Chalker.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with FHP Chaplain Cliff Morgan officiating.
Masonic graveside services were held at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, FL.
Pallbearers were Mike Williams, Robert Barker, Mack Bailey, Josh Hatten, Johathan Tolbert and Jacob McDaniel.
The Florida Highway Patrol will service as honorary pallbearers.
Glen’s family offers special thanks to the physicians and all of the staff at West Florida Hospital.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067-6411.

Clarence Wiley Daniels

Clarence Wiley Daniels (Bill or Lil Boy, as he was known to most of his family and friends), age 73, made his transition to his eternal Heavenly home on October 12, 2016. He was born in Bonifay, Florida to Beatrice Josey Bass and George Leroy Daniel. He was blessed to have been raised by Momma and Daddy Josey until he joined the U.S. Army for six years, serving in the Vietnam War.
He leaves behind his wife, Juanita Daniels, with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage. He also leaves behind his children, Sandra Daniels, Francine (Buck) Morris, and Brian (April) Daniels. He was blessed to have had nine grandchildren, Drew (Brooke) Daniels, Brad (Virginia) Morris, Kyle Morris, Camron Morris, Tiearra Daniels, Aislynn Daniels, and Emma Daniels, along with two great-grandsons, and expecting his great-granddaughter, MacKenzie Grace, this year. He leaves behind his loving, faithful dog, Lily, who will miss her Daddy’s lap and cuddles. He has his four brothers, Cecil, Roy, Raymond, and Larry (deceased) and two sisters, Louise and Wanda, and to also include a special “Sister” Glenda- he lovingly called “Glimpy”.
After his service in the U.S. Army, he worked and retired from Civil Service. He loved his service to the church, in filling the baptismal pool and cutting the lawn. He worked for several years at Cottage Hill Water Waters, and was loved by many customers. In his spare time, as he had developed such as love of racing since childhood, he built and owned several dirt track cars. In 2013, he founded the Southern Vintage Racing Association and was a regular face around the dirt and asphalt tracks. His love of racing will always live on in his family with his son driving #26 at the tracks. He was never one to stop and sit, but always on the go and working either doing little jobs, building race cars, or just helping others out. He always had a joking nature about him and could make others laugh often.
A special thank you to Sacred Heart Hematology staff and Dr. Yazan Alsayed for providing such great care for him, that even through this tough battle, he looked forward to seeing the entire staff, joking with them all with a smile on his face.
Funeral services were held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North in Cantonment, Florida on Monday, October 17, 2016, with processional to follow to Assembly of God in Cantonment, Florida for his final resting place.
Pallbearers were Fellow Vintage Racers, Ben Spears, Jerry Marquis, Jason Marquis, and Craig Lee.
Honorary pallbearers were Quentin Bodiford and Ronnie McDonald.

Walter Larry Meacham

Walter Larry Meacham, Sr., age 66, of Molino, FL, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was born the youngest child of seven to parents Myrtle Lamb and Larry Walter Meacham. He was born on August 30, 1950, in Pensacola, FL.
Larry graduated from Tate High School, Class of 1968. He loved to be outside and work with his hands. He loved to hunt and fish. Larry had a huge field with corn and vegetables. He was a farmer at heart and hard working. Larry always shared his vegetable garden with friends. He even had a sign out in his field that read: “Free Greens”. Summer will never be the same without him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Blake, Dan, and Glenn Lamb.
Larry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah Meacham; daughter, Jessica Meacham; son, Larry (Julie) Meacham, Jr.; grandson, Taylor Meacham; brothers, Chase Lamb and Phillip (Pat) Lamb; sister, Willie Halbert; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Highland Baptist Church, 6240 Highway 95A in Molino, with Pastor Brian Calhoun officiating.
Pallbearers were Jackie Beasley, Forrest Gibbs, Taylor Meacham, Mike Freisinger, John Houston Chance, and Jimmy Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Kennedy, Donnie Nicholson, Marshall Fant, and Harold Holder.
Burial was in Highland Baptist Cemetery.

Faye Gahlenbeck Agee

It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Faye Gahlenbeck Agee, 87, of Molino, FL, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 3, 2016. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, a dearly loved grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born to the late William Alfred and Grace Hall Gahlenbeck of Pensacola, FL.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor C. Agee of El Dorado, AK.
Faye was a native Pensacolian who dearly loved God, her family, playing golf, bowling and crabbing on the beach. She was known for her beautiful ability to whistle her favorite tunes wherever she went and had many people comment on how beautiful the songs sounded. In fact, that was the only way her children and grandchildren could locate her wherever she was.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Michelle McKee and Vickie (Matt, Sr.) Bell; grandchildren, Dana (Jeff) Chilcutt (Kayla, Trenton and Hunter Bedell) and Tricia McKee (Maddie and Macie).
A special thank you to Covenant Hospice in Pensacola for their loving care and support.
Funeral services were held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North in Cantonment on Friday, October 7, 2016.
Graveside services were held at St. John’s Cemetery in Pensacola.

Joseph Allen Walker

Joseph Allen Walker, 69 of Atmore, AL, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016, in Pensacola, FL. He was born on January 30, 1947, in McCullough, AL to the late Roy and Perry Lee Walker. He served in the United States Air force during Vietnam, retired from The Army National Guard, and from Pensacola Naval Air Station. He was a member of Atmore V.F.W. and Presley Street Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leroy Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Arieta Bell Walker of Atmore; one son, Tim (Carrie) Walker of Atmore; one daughter, Anita (Randy) Lucas of Bratt, FL; one brother, Cecil (Sue) Walker of Waynesville, N.C; one sister, Jean (Mack) Myrick of Little Rock, AL; sister-in-law, Ethel Walker of Atmore; six grandchildren, Carrie Marie, Jason, Brittney, Colton, MacKenzie, and Jonathon.
Services were held Sunday October 9, 2016, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating.
Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Walker, Jerry Walker, Michael Myrick, Derek Bell, Blake Bell, and Kevin Bell.

Marshall Welch

Marshall “Brandon” Welch, age 32 of Milton, FL passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Brandon was a native of Escambia County, Florida, but spent most of his life in Berrydale, FL. He attended Jay High School, then moved on to working in construction and the oil industry. He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, mud riding, and watching Auburn football; but most of all spending time with family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Gail Whitfield Welch of Berrydale; his maternal grandparents, Lee Whitfield and Eunice Whitfield of Berrydale; his paternal grandparents, Irving Francis Welch Sr. and Nanny Lottie May Welch of Orange Beach, AL.
He is survived by his father, “Nick” Irving Francis Welch Jr. (wife Donna); brother, Gerald Welch (wife Katie); stepbrothers, Scott and Chad Ward; aunts, Joyce McCrory (husband Martin) and Nancy Greathouse; uncles, Gene Whitfield (wife Shirley) and Lavaughan Whitfield; cousins, Gene, David, Paul, and Chris Greathouse, Matt James, and Shelby McCrory; special friend, Frances Smith; and extended family along with many, many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 12 p.m. until the funeral services begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Kevin Nelson officiating services.
Burial will follow at Whitfield Cemetery in Berrydale.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Stewart, Josh Penton, Will Rhodes, Chad Sutton, Josh Goodwin, Zack Price, and Rusty Johnston.

Margie Simpson Maness

Mrs. Margie Simpson Maness, age 90 of Flomaton, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at her home. Margie was born on May 7, 1926, to the late Henry F. Simpson and Myrtle White Simpson. She was a native of Flomaton. After graduating from Century High School, she began working for Bell Telephone Company. She also worked in the office of Alger Sullivan where she met Gene Maness, Jr. They were married on September 3,1948. They were both members of the Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church, where they were faithful to the church. Many times she would host visiting missionaries and evangelists in her home. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed getting together with family and friends in her home.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Eugene Maness, Jr.; two sisters, Jackie Aydelott of Flomaton, and Betty F. Miller of Mobile.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Maness (Charles J.) Strait of Flomaton; three special nieces, Vicki White, Sharon Miller and Dana Aydelott; two special nephews, Steve Aydelott and Randy Aydelott.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Leon Stewart and Rev. Al Bethea officiating.
Interment was in Rock Cemetery in Flomaton.
Pallbearers were John Sansom, Robert Holt, Mitch White, Bobby Simpson, Rabon Knowles, Paul Knowles.
Honorary pallbearers were Sammy White and Gerry Thompson.

Clifton Hughey Breeland

Clifton “Clif” Hughey Breeland, 76, of Pensacola, died Sunday, October 2, 2016. Clif was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to Hughey Breeland and Ethel Stewart Breeland. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1958 until 1964, receiving the Good Conduct Medal in 1961. In 1969, Clif graduated from Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor’s in Animal Science. He moved to Pensacola in 1969 and accepted a position with Escambia County. From 1969 through 1999, Clif held many positions in Escambia County; 4 H Agent, Director of Parks and Recreation, Budget Analyst and various other assignments. In 2000, Clif moved Santa Rosa County as the Director of Parks and Recreation from which he retired in 2003. Clif enjoyed raising and riding horses, his dogs, hunting, horse shows and rodeos. He was one of the founders of the B Bar K Riding Club in Pensacola.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hughey and Ethel Stewart Breeland; sister, Patsy B. Bearden; brother-in-law, Hugh Bearden; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Turner, Sr.; sisters-in- law, Bobbie Jo Turner Conroy and Lula Ann Turner Chambliss; and brother-in- law, James M. Chambliss.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Turner Breeland; daughter, Vicki Breeland Campbell and husband Chris; granddaughter, Amanda DeAunne Grant and her father, Steve Grant; brothers-in- law, Troy L. Turner (Cathy), Stafford L. Turner (Tina) and John Turner, Jr. (Vanita); sisters-in- law, Vera Mae Turner Walsingham and Sarah Frances Turner Chambliss; and his companion Rascal.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 06, 2016, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

Mr. Charles “Bo/High Pockets” Thomas, 51, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Atmore, AL and a resident of Perdido, AL for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Thomas, Jr. and Mary Helen Thomas; and a sister, Paula Suzanne Douglas.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Thomas of Perdido, AL; two sons, Gary Dewayne Thomas and Kyle Austin Thomas, both of Perdido, AL; one daughter, Kayla Marie Thomas of Bay Minette, AL; one brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Nellie Thomas of Foley, AL; two sisters, Betty Jane Thomas of Huxford, AL and Teresa (aka, Pettie) and Scott Sutherland of Rabun, AL; and one grandson, Gabriel Richerson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Isaac Tolbert Cassidy officiating.
Pallbearers will be Roger Hadley, Ronnie Hadley, Chris Travis, Garren Martin, Ethan Long and Scott Sutherland.
