Mrs. Jean Marie Jackson, 68, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017, in Montrose, Alabama.
Mrs. Jackson was a native of New York, NY and had resided in Perdido, AL for the past 27 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bonalyn Barney and Vance Turner, Sr.
She is survived by her four sons, Timothy Jackson of Loxley, AL, Jason Jackson of Perdido, AL, Louie Jackson of Middle Town, OH and Vance Turner, Jr. of Perdido, AL; one daughter, Lori Jackson Stroud of Lake Charles, LA and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 12 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Wanda Hadley officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Jackson, Caleb Ray, Brad Newsome, Terrence Newsome, Tyler Jackson and Lewis Jackson.

Mr. Norman Lamar Rolin, 64, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Rolin was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, Alabama. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Rolin of Atmore, AL; four sons, Michael (Brandy) Rolin of Bay Minette, AL, Chris (Melanie) Rolin of Poarch, AL, Alex (Sissy) Rolin of Huxford, AL and Alan Rolin of Atmore, AL; two daughters, Janie (Tony) Rolin of Atmore, AL and Elizabeth Rolin of Atmore, AL; four brothers, Clarence (Diane) Rolin of Canoe, AL, Raymond Rolin of Atmore, AL, Rayford Rolin of Poarch, AL and David (Dorothy) Rolin of Walnut Hill, FL; three sisters, Mabel (Sherrel) Lambert of Atmore, AL, Debra Rolin of Poarch, AL and Joyce Kuhn of Poarch, AL; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Rolin officiating.
Burial was at the New Home Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Rolin, Michael Rolin, Nate Sernandez, Patrick Strickland, Alex Rolin and Tony Allison.

Grady Lee Huggins, 78 of Jay, FL passed away Monday September 11, 2017, in Pensacola, FL. He was a tire installer employed by Brantley Tires, born in Pensacola on February 2, 1939, to the late Elijah and Ruby Huggins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Emma Huggins, grandson Sonny Blackmon and son-in-law Marvin Mason, Jr.
He is survived by two sons George Blackmon and Allen Blackmon; four daughters: Glenda Mason, Cathy Blackmon, Diane Blackmon and Mona (Richard) Schoenbaum, sister: Frances Noel, 11 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 15, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. from Serenity Gardens. Internment will follow in Serenity Gardens.
Active pallbearers are Dennis Jerrel, Rusty Slate, Joseph Clark, Newman Clark, Bryan Mason and Donnie Ray Blackmon.
Family will receive friends, Friday September 15, 2017. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 9-10 a.m.
Ramon Rydzowski

Mr. Ramon “Ray” Rydzowski, 86, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Rydzowski was a native of Auburn, NY, former resident of Century, FL (from 1953 to 1994), and had resided in Flomaton, AL since 1994. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, strong and hardworking (33 years at Jefferson Smurfit-Container Corp.), was able to do anything, except farm, he instilled the same work ethic in his sons, “Hard work Self-Reliance”. He was a long time Stock Car (Nascar) fan, carried mom to car race day after marriage and Paul and I to Five Flags and Talladega, loved times with his friends, James Powell, Herbert McCurdy and Fred Salter and always helped a stranger. He loved to travel, college baseball, boating, beach, camping and playing cards. He loved the holidays, Christmas and Halloween (the most, he would dress up on Halloween) and Thanksgiving, he enjoyed good food and family. He was a member of the Flomaton United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rydzowski, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gloria Rydzowski of Flomaton, AL; three sons, Steve R. (Donna Carol) Rydzowski of McDavid, FL, Paul F. (Karen) Rydzowski of Wing, AL and Robert C. (Ann T.) Rydzowski of Flomaton, AL; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the Flomaton United Methodist Church with Rev. Cathy McKinley and Rev. Dr. Pete Dunn officiating.
Burial was at the Flomaton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Lee, Eric Rydzowski, Ben Murrell, Steven “Little Man” Rydzowski, Dewayne Higdon and Willie Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Maddox, Larry Jones and Joe Brantley.

Sammy (Sam) Dean Alltop

Mr. Sammy (Sam) Alltop, age 66, passed away on September 3, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Alltop was born in Huntington, West Virginia to Daniel and Juanita Alltop on September 2, 1951. He attended Tecumseh High School and later graduated from University of West Florida with a Master’s in Education. Graduating high school in 1969, he soon joined the U.S. Navy and spent over 38 years working in Civil Service at NAS Pensacola and Whiting Field. He retired in 2008.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Juanita; his brother, Fred Alltop, and his mother and father-in-law, Margie and Jay Tharp.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Barton, Stacy Ray, and Daniel (Tiffany) Alltop; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Alltop; his sisters, Diana Boshears, and Pat (Russell) Crook; brothers-in-law, Dale (Mary)
Tharp and Richard (Patricia) Tharp along with many wonderful nieces and nephews near and far.
A memorial service was held Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Faith Chapel North.
Interment will be held at a later date.
Sam will be missed by all who knew him. He is known as a hardworking man who cares and loves his family above everything else. Our dad was the strongest, most caring, generous, forgiving, loving man ever. He has and will always be our ROCK!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to 90 Works Veteran’s program or Gonzalez Baptist Church Youth program.

Mary Etta Locke Orlin

Mary Etta Locke Orlin, 64, of Cantonment, formerly of Greenville, KY, died Friday, September 8, 2017, at the University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville. She was born September 19, 1952, in Muhlenberg County to the late Gilbert and Mildred Locke. She was a homemaker and member of Sharon General Baptist Church in Greenville, KY and attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Pensacola. Ms. Orlin was an extremely creative person who loved to throw parties and shop estate sales, but her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Locke.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Mike Orlin of Cantonment, FL; daughter, Lesa Lichlyter; grandchildren, Leilani Lichlyter, Roman Lichlyter and Genavieve May; sister, Janice (Danny) Lear of Greenville; brothers, Gerald (Connie) Locke, Freddie (Kim) Locke and Darrell (Kim) Locke, all of Greenville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date in Greenville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
John Calvin Turberville

Mr. John Calvin Turberville, 42, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Turberville was a native of Tampa, FL, former longtime resident of Atmore, AL and had resided in Frisco City, AL for the past nine months. He loved to travel, loved music and the drums. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alberta Wiggins and Jake Wiggins and Ruth Turberville; and his aunt, Jeanette Plowman.
He is survived by his father, Roger Turberville of Frisco City, AL; mother, Dorothy Turberville of Atmore, AL; two daughters, Amber Nicole Turberville of Mobile, AL and Georgia Turberville of Mobile, AL; one sister, Jeana Turberville Hughes of Atmore, AL; and one grandchild, MaKenna Klaire.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Absher and Bro. Bill Pashel officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mineola Cemetery.

Hewlett Brent Whitaker, Jr.

Hewlett Brent Whitaker, Jr., 86 of Atmore, AL, passed away September 5, 2017, in Mobile, AL. He was born in Atmore, AL on December 10, 1930, to the late Hewlett Brent Whitaker, Sr. and Gladys Greer Whitaker. He worked for the State of Alabama as an Environmentalist for 25 years. As a lifetime resident of Atmore, Mr. Whitaker was a landowner and active conservationist. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atmore.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 50 years, Dorothy Janet Whitaker, from Luverne, AL; one son, David Wayne Whitaker; and one sibling, Murray Greer Whitaker, Jr. a resident of Atmore.
Survivors include two sons, Brent Whitaker, III of Biloxi, MS and Ken (Melanie) Whitaker of Acworth, GA.; one daughter, Greer Hull of Decatur, AL; four grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Leslie Whitaker Keith, Morgan Hull, and Brian Whitaker; and one great-grandchild, Brayden Hood.
Services were held Friday, September 8, 2017, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Debora Bishop officiating.
Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gordon Everette, Gene Everette, Blake Keith, Whit Whitaker, Fred Whitaker and Martin Fowler.

Mr. Ronald E. Stanley, 61, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017, at his home in Atmore, AL.
Mr. Stanley was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. He was the owner and operator of Stanley Septic Tank and Contracting, was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, and a member of the Five Alive Bass Club. He was of the Christian faith. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathyrn Stanley; and granddaughter, Anna Grace Stanley.
He is survived by his father, Leonard Stanley of Atmore, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Jennifer Stanley of Atmore, AL; one sister, Carolyn (Charlie) Woods of Robinsonville, AL; two grandchildren, Robert and Colton Stanley; one niece, Sharlie (Ross) Terry of Atmore, AL; one nephew, Scotty (Tasha) Woods of Robinsonville, AL; and one great-niece, Ava Woods of Robinsonville, AL.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Don Davis officiating.

Mrs. Mary Lois Ray Burkett, 82, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Burkett was a native of Bratt, FL and had resided in Century, FL for the past 75 years. She graduated from Century High School in 1953, where she was the valedictorian of her class. She was a member of the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God since 1953, where she was the Sunday School secretary for 62 years. She worked for the Century Elementary School for 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Carrie B. Burkett; daughter, Donna Jo Burkett Way; parents, Henry Greenberry Ray, Sr. and Lillie Belle Hanks Ray; sister, Florence Amelia Klienatland; and brother-in-law, Carl Klienatland; brother, Henry Greenberry Ray, Jr.; and father-in-law, Charles Dewey Burkett.
