Barry Rogers

On November 11, 2017, Barry began his eternal life, reunited with his Heavenly Father. Barry passed away of a massive heart attack. He was born August 16, 1963, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Clifton and Annette Rogers. He attended Ole Main High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He continued his education at Oral Roberts University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Barry and his wife Stacey moved to Pensacola, FL in 1990. Husband, father, Pop Pops, uncle, mentor, coach, and friend were just some of the many names used to describe him. Barry was a man who believed that memories were more valuable
than possessions. He cherished moments with family and friends over all else. Barry thrived when given a moment to offer encouragement to someone in need. His legacy of love, selflessness, compassion, leadership, and a humbled heart will live on through the lives of all the men and women he touched by just being the amazing Godly man that he was.
Barry’s greatest accomplishment in life was his amazing 31-year duet with his beautiful wife Stacey. If you spoke to Barry you would hear about his love for his beautiful bride, and the pride he had for his sons. He would tell you. “I’m not a wealthy man according to the world… but I am the richest man in the world just look at my wife and boys!”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Annette Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey Rogers; sons, Jeramey Rogers (Tara), Brandon Rogers (Ella); and one grandson, Tanner (Tan Tan) Rogers.

Steven Charles Powell

Steven Charles Powell, Jr., 84, of Pensacola passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at home with his wife of 57 years, Dianne, by his side. Born in Selma, Alabama on September 16, 1933, he lived and raised a family in Pensacola for over four decades.
Steve attended Marion Military Institute before enlisting in the Army. After completing his military service, he graduated from the University of Alabama. On campus he met his future wife at a Sigma Chi party after an Alabama football game. The couple lived for ten years in Canoga Park, California, where their three children were born. Mr. Powell worked in medical sales and relocated to Pensacola in 1974. He was a faithful member of the Gonzalez United Method Church for the remainder of his life. Golf, fishing and Alabama football were lifelong passions, providing him great joy (and on occasion, complete and utter despair). His devotion and pride in his family however were unwavering.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Powell of Selma.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Lindsey Powell (nee Johnson); son, Steven Charles Powell III and wife, Amanda of Cabot, Arkansas; daughter, Alyson Lindsey McCain and husband, Jon of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughter, Leigh Clare Kidd of Chantilly, Virginia; sister, Barbara Lesage of Arroyo Grande, California. Mr. Powell was also blessed with seven adoring grandchildren, Lindsey, Jacob, and Ian McCain; Cody and Dalton Kidd; Charlie and Cooper Powell. He also leaves behind many other beloved family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Gonzalez United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 21 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Steve’s name to Gonzalez United Methodist Church.

James Thomas Anderson

James Thomas Anderson was born May 21, 1932. He loved spending his time on ham radio and enjoyed gardening of all sorts throughout his life time and enjoyed traveling around the world. James spent his younger years helping with his family as they grew up. He also joined the Army and was in it for 30 years and 28 days and helped protected us in the Korean War and Vietnam War while he served those many years. He received the Bronze Star Medal in the Republic of Vietnam during the period September 1, 1968 to July 21, 1969. He passed his love for life and freedom and travel on to his daughter Karen, son-in-law John, and grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Mary; and a great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Hohomi; daughter, Karen; brother, Franklin; two sisters, Bonnie and Mamie; two granddaughters, Julie and Joanna; great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the loving staff of Vitas who helped us take care of him lovingly during his passing at home.

Ronald Lee Yockey, 71, passed away in Sacred Heart Hospital, Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
Ron was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, Ohio, and joined the United States Air Force. He served 22 years, with his last ten years being in Special Forces. Ron enjoyed movies, playing golf, and watching sports. He was a member of ECCGC Golf Club.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruth Yockey.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Yockey; his son, Jason (Marsha) Yockey; two grandchildren, Logan and Grant Yockey; his sister, Phyllis Cooke; his niece, Shelly Dale; his nephews, Todd Hutchinson and Bryan Miller; and numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service was held Friday, November 17, 2017, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Reverend Joel Treick officiating.

Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Lambeth, 47, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in Silverhill, Alabama.
Mr. Lambeth was a native of Atmore, AL and had resided in Pensacola, FL for most of his life. He attended the Pace Community Church. He is preceded in death by his step-father, R.D. Greene; maternal grandparents, Sidney and James Evans; maternal grandfather, Thomas Gallops; and paternal grandparents, Wilson Lambeth and Ethel Boutwell.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth Jackson “Jack” (Denise) Lambeth of Walnut Hill, FL; mother, Brenda Greene of Pensacola, FL; wife, Mary Ann Lambeth of Pensacola, FL; one son, Kenneth Jackson Lambeth of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Heather Lambeth of Pensacola, FL and Kenzie Joyce Lambeth of Pensacola, FL; two step-daughters, Myriah Hale of Pensacola, FL and Alyssa Hale of Pensacola, FL; one brother, Tommy Lambeth of Pensacola, FL; two step-sisters, Tina (Scott) Francis of McDavid, FL and Regina (Steven) Ross of Atmore, AL; one grandchild, Jeremiah Lambeth; nephew, T.J. Lambeth of Pensacola, FL; cousin, Dan Denrell; very special friends, Jerry Blair and Mike Sundie; and numerous uncles, aunts, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Charles Ray “Cowboy” Nichols, 66, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Nichols was a native of McDavid, FL and had resided in Flomaton, AL for the past 32 years. He was an over the road trucker and was of the United Pentecostal Faith. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifton Skinny Nichols; mother, Odell Nichols; two brothers, William Nichols and Alfred Nichols; and wife, Annette Simmons.
He is survived by three brothers, Lee Edward (Jean) Nichols of Flomaton, AL, J.W. (Mary) Nichols of McDavid, FL and David L. (Janice) Nichols of Wilmer, AL; very special stepson, Tommy (Amber) Simmons of Flomaton, AL; and three grandchildren, Jessie Simmons, Shea Nall and Toni Simmons.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Eddie Macks officiating.
Burial was at the Byrneville Cemetery.

Lester Norman Waddell, Jr.

Lester Norman “Norm” Waddell, Jr., 82, died on November 16, 2017, in Pensacola, Florida. He was born on September 9, 1935, in Monroe, Louisiana to Lester Norman Waddell, Sr. and Gladys Brasher Waddell.
Norm graduated from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1958. He worked as an engineer with Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi for 32 years retiring as Director of Facilities and was very proud of the excellent work Ingalls and his group there did over the years. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Norm and his wife, Carol, relocated to Pensacola.
Norm is preceded in death by his parents; brother Gerry; and granddaughter, Ashleigh Krin.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Perdue Waddell; his children, Wayne (Jennifer) Waddell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Camille (Tom) Ashton of Cantonment, Florida; and Glenn (Mary Ann) Waddell of Birmingham, Alabama; and 10 grandchildren.
Norm loved his family, his dogs, reading, history, and the University of Alabama. He made the most important decision of his life shortly before his death when he acknowledged the truth of Christianity and submitted to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made in Norm’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Ashleigh Krin Waddell.

Laurie Bryars Moseley, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the nursing home in Bay Minette, AL. She was retired from Vanity Fair Mills in Atmore, AL with 47 years of service. She was born in Atmore, AL to the late Clarence and Mae Bryars. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Bay Minette, AL and was affectionately known as “Bang Bang”. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve Moseley; brothers, Clarence Bryars, Jr., Ellis Bryars and Elton Bryars and sisters, Julia Gibbs and Ruth Caraway.
Mrs. Moseley is survived by her husband of 62 years, J.T. Moseley of Bay Minette, AL; sisters, Betty Vinson and Sammie (Lonnie) Turberville of Atmore, AL and Mary (Charles) Fickling of Perdido, AL; granddaughters, Blaire (Chris) Singleton of Atmore, AL, Gina (Jonathan) Wetzel of Crestview, FL, Miranda (Tony) Moody of Byrneville, FL and grandson, Denver Moseley of Atmore, AL; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Singleton, Cole Singleton, Talerie McGhee, Chesnea Wetzel, Brody Wetzel, Hunter Moseley, Hudson Moody, MaryStephen Moody, Asher Moseley and Dylan Estes.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Reece officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

James Pfeiffer
November 10, 2017
James (Jim) Pfeiffer of Pensacola, FL, went home to his Heavenly Father and joined his departed loved ones on November 8, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1937, to the late Everett Henry and Eula Mae Pfeiffer in Musscogee, FL. He honorably served the people of Florida as a member of the Florida Marine Patrol for many years. He started and was owner of Jim Pfeiffer Furniture Refinishing and Repair for 47 years. In the 1960’s, Jim was a volunteer firefighter for Interarity Point Volunteer Fire Department and West Pensacola Volunteer Fire Department. Jim was a charter member of Windy Hill Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Renee Pfeiffer Hood; brother, Ted M. Pfeiffer; sisters-in-law, Hazel and Barbara Pfeiffer; and niece, Wilda Pfeiffer Mohr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gwen Pfeiffer; son, Everett (Cynthia) Pfeiffer; grandchildren, April (Terry) Macks, Shannon (Bryce) Rollins, Ashley Hood and Aspen (Lane) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Breanna, Hannah, McKenna, Brooklyn and Lora, Landon, Jackson and Tyler; brother, Kenneth Pfeiffer; sister, Laurita (Ben) Austin; sister-in-law, Ruth Tomblin and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Miller was born in Freemanville, AL and was a life long resident of Davisville, Florida and Atmore, Alabama. She was a member of the Presley Street Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Odis E. Miller; parents, Daniel and Isabell Condrey; son, Edward Wayne Miller, four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by one son Thomas E. Miller (Linda) of Atmore, AL; one daughter Wynell M. Bell of Atmore, AL; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
