Larry Lyle Mueller

On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Larry Lyle Mueller eeparted on Eternal Patrol unexpectedly at the age of 75 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He was born September 19, 1942, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He grew up on a farm in Cadott, Wisconsin, graduated from high school, and enlisted in the US Navy. Larry served in the US Navy as a fire control technician, first reporting to surface ship USS Cavalier (APA 82). This was followed by two long tours on submarine USS Daniel Boone (SSBN 629), reporting as a Second Class on his first tour and as Chief of the Boat on his second tour. He also served on submarine tenders, USS Hunley (AS 31) and USS Proteus (AS 19). After serving 25 years, he retired, having achieved the much respected rank of Master Chief.
Putting down roots in Cantonment, Florida, he was employed at the US Post Office for 20 years. He purchased a tract of land in Barth, Florida where he had a tree farm. He also raised commercial catfish and even fed the deer. He was active in his church at Charity Chapel and was a member of USSVI where he served as Drum Base Commander and Chaplain.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kären; daughter Dawn (Brian); stepdaughter Karla; stepson Paul; brothers Don and David (Marie); sister Kathy; grandchildren Daniel, Riley, Michael, and Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Mildred Mueller.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Larry’s life in February 2018.
Johny Bruce Dunsford

Mr. Johny Bruce Dunsford, age 81, of Bluff Springs, FL passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, FL.
Mr. Dunsford was born in Jay, FL and had been a life-long resident of the Bluff Springs community where he worked as a self-employed brick mason. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy Dunsford of Jasper, AL and Steven (Thelma) Dunsford of Arley, AL; sister, Wanda Andrews of East Brewton, AL; grandchildren, Brandy Miles and Johnathon Dunsford; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 11 AM until a 1 PM service time with Deacon Buck Harris officiating.
Interment will follow in Cora Cemetery, Jay, FL.
David Allen Williams

Mr. David Allen Williams, age 56 of Century, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Williams was born in Century and spent the majority of his life time there. He lived in New York for fifteen years where he was a member of the Mountain Man’s Association. During his working years he worked in maintenance for Acustaff in Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Marqarette Williams.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas Williams of Century, FL; sisters, Aileen Cork of Century, FL, Elaine Williams of Century, FL, Florene Bales of Century, FL and Eleanor Gibson of Pensacola, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Mrs. Jewell Hammonds, age 76 of Century, FL passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at West Florida Hospital, Pensacola, FL.
Mrs. Hammonds was born in Tipton, GA and had been a life-long resident of the Century community. She worked as a seamstress for Vanity Fair for 30 plus years. Mrs. Hammonds was a member of Happy Valley Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Joe J. and Mary Alice Keigans Kearce; grandson, Joshua Nathaniel and great-granddaughter, Angel Kate Cooper.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mr. Carl Hammonds of Century, FL; sons, Larry (Dorie) Hammonds of Century, FL, Michael (Selema) Hammonds of Century, FL, Tim Hammonds of Byrneville, FL; daughter, Penny (Michael) Cooper of Lenox, AL; special friend, Alan Ruland of Pensacola, FL; ten grandchilren and fourteen great-grandchilden; numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Happy Valley Holiness Church from 6 to 9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Happy Valley Holiness Church at 11 AM with Bro. Raymond Wiggins and Bro. Nathaniel Roach officiating.

Brenda Joyce Brown Seale, 72 of Atmore, AL. passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Atmore.
She was born to the late Dempsey D. and Mamie Goodson Donaldson on December 28, 1944 in Atmore, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters, grandchild Samuel Lambert and husband Rev. Fred Brown. She taught piano lessons for many years and was a dedicated home missionary for the Southern Baptist Association. She was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Kevin (Sarah) Presley of Fountain, CO. and a daughter Teresa Mothershed of Atmore, AL. and her three grandchildren Amanda (Jon) Farrar Lambert, Robert W. Farrar, Jr., Lindsay Farrar (Ben) Tuberville and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11 AM from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in McCullough Cemetery.

Mrs. Kattie Mae Barnhill, 72, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 in Atmore, Alabama.
Mrs. Barnhill was a resident of Atmore, AL, a native of Stanley Crossroads, AL and lived most of her life in Davisville, FL. She was a member of the Gospel Light Holiness Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Alice Buckhault; son, Alan Keith Barnhill; brothers, Jesse James Buckhault, Clinton Jim Buckhault and J.P. Jackson “Buddy” Buckhault; sisters, Rose Roberson, Louise Hadley Donaldson and Geraldine “Pettie” Booker and granddaughter, Summer Gattis.
She is survived by her husband, Carl R. Barnhill of Atmore, AL; two sons, Donald Barnhill of Atmore, AL and Steve Barnhill of Gulf Breeze, FL; one daughter, Janet Kay (Gary) Gattis of Atmore, AL; two sisters, Daisy Hendricks of Stanley Crossroads, AL and Ouida (Raymond) Wall of Nokomis, AL; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Harry Jule Demmon

Harry Jule Demmon, age 87, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Harry was born to Homer Pennick Demmon and Hatty L. Demmon on December 3, 1930 in San Jose, California.
Like many young men in those turbulent times, Harry joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 18. He served for 4 years during the Korean War as an Aviation Support Equipment Technician. Harry met and married his wife Judy Resmondo in 1950 while stationed at Saufley Field in Pensacola FL. In their 12 years of marriage they had two daughters, Brenda Sue and Debbie. After his service in the Navy, Harry began a life-long career working as a conductor at the Frisco Railroad. Harry met his late wife Carole Ann Lisbon in 1972, who he had a son with, Harry Jr., and helped raise two step-children, Dawn and Robert.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Homer P. and Harriet L. Demmon; brothers, Chuck and Homer Demmon; sisters, Roberta Patterson and Maxine Demmon; and his first and second wives, Judy and Carole Ann Demmon.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Sue Reeder (Frank); daughter, Debbie Peterson (Jimmy); son, Harry J. Demmon Jr. (Kamilla); son, Dr. Robert P. Larys M.D (Rebecca); daughter, Dawn Marie Whitehead (Stephen); seven grandchildren, Bryson, Jacob, Justin, Chrissy, Shana, Julie and Derek; and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Justin Reeder, Brendan Reeder, Derek Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Jacob Demmon, and Austin Serwack; Danny Weber and Phillip Steel will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A celebration of the life of Harry Jule Demmon will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, with Byron Wiggins and Carl Culbertson officiating. Harry J. Demmon’s family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Danny Wayne Boyington, 53 of Atmore, AL, passed away Monday December 11, 2017 in Atmore. He was a truck driver with Jetts Logging Company. He was born in Atmore, AL on March 1, 1964 to O’Neal and Imma Jean Hadley Boyington.
He is preceded in death by his father, O’Neal Boyington; sister, Racheal Reeve; and a niece, Virginia Radford.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Caraway Boyington, of Atmore; mother, Imogene Boyington of Atmore; two daughters, Krystel (Pedro) Martinez of Poarch, AL and Daniela Boyington of Atmore; three brothers, Rodney (Becky) Boyington of Perdido, AL, Jimmy (Michelle) Boyington of Atmore and Mark (Britney) Boyington of Huxford, AL; three sisters, Ester (Doug) Smith of Atmore, Linda (Dewayne) Salter of Poarch, AL and Lisa (Terry) Garrick of Birmingham, AL; four grandchildren, Taylor, Kyler, Tennesse, and Karter; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in Lottie New Home Cemetery.

Bruce Monroe Windsor Jr.

Bruce Monroe Windsor Jr, 77, of Pensacola, FL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a Vietnam veteran and proud Mustang retiring from the Marine Corp as a Captain with 23 yrs of service. Upon retiring from the Corp, he went on to a 20 yr career in Civil Service working at NADEP then at NETPDC. He got his start at NADEP in the carpentry shop, while earning a Masters Degree in Business Management. He concluded his federal service employment as a Man Power Specialist at NETPDC. A longtime community servant while leading multiple prison ministries and 12 Step Programs at Saufley Field Federal Prison, Camp Five and the Warrington community. Bruce made a huge impact on so many lives.
Bruce loved to play music, particularly his Dobro. Had done events at numerous churches, nursing homes and was also involved in the local areas “Senior Follies”. An avid woodworker, golfer and longtime starter at AC Read Golf Course where he was affectionately known to many as the “Playground Director”. He was a loving father, devoted husband and friend to many. There are no words to express how much he will be missed….until we meet again.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Monroe Windsor, Sr.; his mother, Evelyn Windsor Reynolds; grandmother, Kate Toy Windsor, known to all as, Mama; sister, Marion Blanchard and his daughter, Pamela Windsor Campbell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole Bernicken; son, Bruce Monroe Windsor III (Petrina); daughter, Terry Windsor Cherry (Larry); stepdaughters, Rhiannon B. Kinsey (Mathew) and Michelle Azevedo; mother of biological children, Nancy W. Carnley (Jerry); sisters, Grace Cutchings (Wayne), Linda Altman (Thomas) and Susie Tryall (Wayne); 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many other close family members and friends.

Mrs. Louise Newton Fillingim Dockens, 89, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Century, Florida.
Mrs. Dockens was a native of Byrneville, FL and has resided in Christian Home, FL since 1976. She retired from Abernathy Hospital with 15 years of service and was a member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Thomas F. Fillingim, Sr. and late husband, Harley Dockens, one son, Neil C. Fillingim, daughter-in-law, Sonya Dyess Fillingim; daughter, Margaret Gail Fillingim Chavers, son-in-law, Seaborn Chavers and granddaughter, Crystal Fillingim Criswell.
She is survived by her two sons, John J. (Patsy) Fillingim of Jay, FL and Thomas (Fay) Fillingim, Jr. of McDavid, FL; two step-sons, Harley Lee (Betty) Dockens of Poquoson, VA and Randy (Hedi) Dockens of New Town, PA; one daughter, Susan (Leslie) Barnes of Christian Home, FL; two sisters, Duffie Wells of Bluff Springs, FL and Martha Sims of Bluff Springs, FL; one sister-in-law, Emma Lee Newton of Bluff Springs, FL; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
