Ms. Paula Kaye Bankster, 41, went to her heavenly home on Monday, March 12, 2018.
Ms. Bankster was a native of Bay Minette, AL and resided in Mobile, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Bankster and Carrie McMillian; and two half-brothers, Myron Bankster and Timothy Bankster.
She is survived by her two sons, Duston French of Mobile, AL and Derrick Harris of Mobile, AL; one daughter, Tamara Bankster of Mobile, AL; one half-brother, Ken Bankster of Stapleton, AL; two sisters, Carrie Monette (Darrell) Baker of Stapleton, AL and Karen Elizabeth (Steve) Biggs of Robertsdale, AL; one half-sister, Vanessa Porter of Mobile, AL; two grandchildren and step-father, Ed McMillian of Pine Grove, AL.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the John White Cemetery (Whitehouse Fork, Alabama) with Sis. Bonnie Howard officiating.
Pallbearers were Blake Biggs, Brandon Johnson, Dylan Vinson, Jonathan Baker, Eddie Harris and Carlteze Harris.

John Alwin Vanlandingham

Dr. John Alwin Vanlandingham, age 79, of Flomaton, AL, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton, AL.
Dr. Vanlandingham was a native of Marianna, FL, and had been a member of the Flomaton community since 1974 coming from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a graduate of the 1956 Class of Milton High School, a 1960 graduate of Asbury College, and a 1970 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine. Dr. Vanlandingham was a physician for 46 years. In his search for “eternal studies” he enjoyed reading books on theoretical physics and mathematics, playing the piano, mechanics, photographing wildflowers in their natural environment. Dr. Vanlandingham enjoyed traveling on the many motorcycles that he owned. He was of the Methodist and Baptist faiths and was a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. A.H. and Ernestine Chapman Vanlandingham.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wanda Hart Vanlandingham of Flomaton, AL; sons, Joshua (Ivy) Vanlandingham of Molino, FL and Jared (Partner, Andres) Vanlandingham of Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Charles (Marcheta) Vanlandingham of Milton, FL and Frank (Genia) Vanlandingham of Geneva, AL.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Flomaton from 12:30 P.M. until a 3 P.M. service with Dr. Tim Tew officiating.
Interment will follow in Flomaton Cemetery, Flomaton, AL.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Vanlandingham, Jared Vanlandingham, Damon Vanlandingham, Grant Vanlandingham, Terry Stanford, Wayne Washburn.

Infant Emersyn Kate Rolin

Infant Emersyn Kate Rolin was born on October 24, 2017 and passed away on March 8, 2018 in Atmore, Alabama.
She was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and attended the Friendly Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Ray & Bobbie Pearson and Jack & Eunice Rolin, maternal great grandparents, Howard & Hattie Mae McGhee, aunt, Becky Norman and special cousin, Ashkia Williams.
Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Heather Rolin of Atmore, AL; one sister, Harper Leigh Rolin of Atmore, AL; maternal grandparents, Joe & Lena White of Atmore, AL, paternal grandparents, Ronnie & Margie Rolin of Atmore, AL, maternal great grandparents, Butch & Joann White of Tallahassee, FL; aunts, Shelly & Romie Chavira of Atmore, AL and Heather Rolin of Atmore, AL; uncles, Dempsey & Haley Rolin of Atmore, AL and James & Hannah White of Atmore, AL; five 1st cousins, Aron Chavira, Kenslee Chavira, Crimson Chavira, Braxton Harrison and Bryleigh Rolin. Burial will follow at the Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Friendly Holines Church.

Mr. Marvin Larry Free, age 64, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Mobile, Alabama.
Mr. Free was a native of Greenville, AL and has resided in Davisville, FL since 1958. He was the service manager at Hendrix Tractor Company and was a member of the Pine Barren Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Will and Eunice Free and wife, Opal Free.
Survivors include his two sons, Gregory Marvin (Aubrey) Free of Buna, TX and Larry Wayne Free of Bratt, FL; mother of his children, Deborah Ronzone of Bratt, FL; two sisters, Glenda M. Nall of Monroeville, AL and Carolyn E. Allen of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Leah Nicole Free, Christopher Lee Free and Ryan Adam Free; and one great-grandchild, Grace Lynn Free.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 4 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Dove and Bro. Ronald Hall officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Edlyn Gail Webster, age 75, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Webster was a native of Rushville, IN, former resident of New Castle, IN and Pensacola, FL (25 years) and had resided in Atmore, AL for the past 17 years. She was a member of OES of New Castle, IN, did volunteer work for various organization and was of the Episcopal Faith. She was a graduate from Walter P. Chrysler High School in New Castle, IN and attended the Ball State Teacher’s College in Muncie, IN and the Patricia Stevens Finishing School in Indianapolis, IN.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Bob Webster, parents, Robert & Dorothy O’Neal and one brother, David O’Neal.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Webster of Port Charlotte, FL; one daughter, Susan (Clay) Helton of Robinsonville, AL; five grandchildren; one aunt, Joyce Hahn of New Castle, IN; one niece, Colleen Hahn of Indianapolis, IN; two brother-in-laws, David (Bev) Webster of New Castle, IN and Phillip (Tammy) Webster of New Castle, IN and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Barrancas National Cemetery with Rev. Josh Long officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Ruth Jones, 88, of Jay, Florida passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Pensacola, Florida.
She retired from Monsanto after 22 years of service. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hughie Jones and her brother, Bob Horne .
She is survived by her sons, Ray Jones, Mike (Donna) Jones, and Gary (Sherry) Jones; sister, Vera Stiltner; brother, Carlton Horne; two grandchildren, Carrie (Ryan) Hawkins and Chris Jones and three great-grandchildren, Emily Burgess, Ava Hawkins and Samuel Hawkins.
Pallbearers are Jimmy White, Glen White, Kenny Watson, Buddy Bradley, Shorty Floyd and Ryan Hawkins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Jay Chapel, 3853 Highway 4, Jay, Florida. Brother Lavon Caraway will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Walling Cemetery.

Mr. Emuel Gerald Morgan, age 71, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, in Mobile, Alabama.
Mr. Morgan was a native of Walnut Hill, Florida and had resided in Perdido, AL for the past 14 years. He was a member of the VFW and employed with Dowdle Gas Company.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Diane Morgan of Perdido, AL; two sons, Daniel Ray (Kim) Morgan of Bay Minette, AL and Kristofor (Leslie Jarman) Laird of Atmore, AL; two daughters, Tonya Lynn Morgan of Sacramento, CA and Melisa (J.R.) Godwin of Atmore, AL; two brothers, Billy (Elaine) Morgan of Robinsonville, AL and Ronnie Reggie (Linda Gail) Morgan of McDavid, FL; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Willis Letcher Gibson

Willis Letcher Gibson, age 83, of Molino, was called home Thursday, March 8, 2018. He was born March 7, 1935, in Pensacola, FL to the late James and Doshia Gibson. Willis was known as a family man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He retired as a truck driver from ECUA after many years of faithful service.
Willis was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Wanda Gibson Owens and several siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Jonnie Gibson, Sr., Glen Gibson and Kenneth Gibson; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several siblings; and a host of extended family and friends.
Services were held graveside on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Whitmire Cemetery with Rev. Bill Flannigan as officiate.
Pallbearers were Will Cawthon, Jonnie Gibson, Jr., Clayton Miller, Jordan Miller, Brian Freeman and CJ Walker.

Mr. Joe Evans O’Barr, Jr., age 64, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home in Poarch, Alabama.
Mr. O’Barr was a native of Little Rock, AR, former resident of Mobile, AL and has resided in Poarch, AL for the past 29 years. He was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians; past Vestry Member of St. Anna’s, was on the PCI Gaming Board and was a member of the St Anna’s Episcopal Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe, Sr. and Bessie O’Barr, one bro, Michael Anthony O’Barr and one sister, Beverly O’Barr.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ellen O’Barr of Poarch, AL; three sons, Charles Anthony (Sylina) O’Barr of Perdido, AL, Jonathan Evans (Stacie) O’Barr of Poarch, AL and Andrew (Elizabeth) Daughtry of Atmore, AL; three daughters, Christy O’Barr (Ronnie) Huskey of Atmore, AL, Shannon (Jason) Griffey of Poarch, AL and Kimberly O’Barr (Nick) Hill of Poarch, AL; two sisters, Brenda (Ricky) Faircloth of Poarch, AL and Teresa “Shada” (Jamie) Thomas of Poarch, AL; nineteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Father Michael Hill officiating.
Burial will follow at the Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.

Beatrice Cook

Beatrice Cook, 84, of Walnut Hill, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 4, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Beatrice was born July 5, 1933 in Brewton Al. as one of 10 children to the late Gussie and Martha Catherine Fuqua. She enjoyed reminiscing about her time growing up in Brewton and attending W.S. Neal as well as her time spent at Mount Berry School in Georgia. She wrote her memoirs about those times in a book that her family will cherish. She met her husband Cecil E. Cook and they spent 50 years together. She held different occupations over her lifetime but her most cherished job was being a mother to her five sons. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Atmore Al.
She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Cook, her siblings, and one grandson Allan Cook.
She is survived by son David Cook of Navarre FL; son Tony Cook of Auburn AL.; son Tim Cook (Vicki) of Bratt FL., son Richard Cook (Rebecca) of Oak Grove and son Robin Cook of Garcon Point FL.
Beatrice had 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who were also her pride and joy.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 10, 2018, with Norman Newberry officiating. Visitation will begin prior to services at 10:00 AM. Pallbearers will be her sons, grandsons and family friend Doyle King.
Interment will be at Green Acres Cemetery, McCall AL.
