Harold Stewart

December 30, 2018

Harold Stewart, age 67 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2018 at Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Harold was born on September 19, 1951 in Pensacola, Florida to Elbert Stewart Sr. and Zena Hadley Stewart. He worked for International Paper Mill as a Warehouse Heavy Equipment Operator and was a church member of Farm Hill Baptist Church in Cantonment, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ginny Stewart of Chipley, Florida; three sons: Joe Stewart of Chipley, Florida, Elbert Stewart of Panama City, Florida, Canniff Stewart and wife Jamie of Chipley, Florida; one daughter: April Stewart of Grand Ridge, Florida; brother: Elbert Stewart of Bay Minette, Alabama; sister: Gay Buck of  Perdido, Alabama; grandchildren: Hayden Stewart and Hadley Stewart.

Funeral service will be held 2P.M. Friday, January 4, 2018 at Obert Funeral Home in Chipley, Florida with Rev. Tom Birka officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home.

Donald E. Korn

December 28, 2018

Donald E. Korn, 88, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. He served in the US Navy (1947–1949) and the USAF (1949–1956). He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Don was born in Stanley, Wisconsin, in 1930. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, and his Master’s in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Missouri. He was a math teacher in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and then at Tate High School for 23 years and retired in 1992.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marguerite Korn; brother, Bob Korn; and sister, Dolly Korn.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Korn; children, Sherry (Gary) Barnes, Constance Korn, Ken (Micki) Korn, David (Terri) Korn, Teresa Graham and Bob (Karen) Korn; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North beginning at 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1:30 p.m.

Forrest Junior Carnley

December 26, 2018

Forrest Junior Carnley, age 90, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2018 in Pensacola, Florida which also would have been his 68th Wedding Anniversary to our Mother Linnie Earl Carnley. He was born October 09, 1928 to Ira and Mattie Clyde (Harrison) Carnley.

He lived most of his life in Molino, Florida. Dad was the rock in our family. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He was exceptionally hardworking and devoted his life to his family.

He retired from St. Regis / Champion after more than 50 years of service. He helped start the Molino Volunteer Fire Department and was a member for many years. He was very proud that his daughter and grandson followed in his footsteps. He enjoyed planting his garden every year to can and give to neighbors and he especially loved to go fishing. He had a fish pond put in and absolutely enjoyed it with his grandson, daughter in-law and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linnie Earl Carnley; brothers, Marvin Carnley, Carrell Carnley, Ivey Nick Carnley and sisters, Lucille Tedder, Margaret Allen and Corine Beaty.

He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Mitchell and Janice Carnley; his grandson and the apple of his eye Chris Mitchell his wife April and great grandchildren, Dezerai Duke, Mailyn Duke, Eli Mitchell and Makaila Mitchell, a very special sister Essie Kirkland and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 28, 2018 at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Hudson officiating services. Visitation for the family starts at 10:30. The family will receive friends at 11:00 with the funeral beginning at 12:00. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Jay, Florida.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Mitchell, Bill Eddins, Robert Mitchell, Michael Rowell, Fred Bergeron, Willie Mack, Marvin Lucas and Steve Ridgeway.
Honorary pallbearers are Margie Mauer, Willie and Kristi Little, JoAnn Hope and Winston Cook.

Sue M. Lowman

December 26, 2018

Sue M. Lowman was reunited with her true love on December 25, 2018. She was born on July 22, 1946 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Wilson B. Merritt and Lucile Bryars Merritt.

Sue started out as a teacher’s assistant in the Escambia County School System. She enjoyed her time so much that she returned to school and received her Master’s Degree becoming a teacher herself teaching for many years in the public school system.

Sue was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend with a beautiful soul. She will be missed my many.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lowman; parents; and brother, Billy Merritt.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Richard (Angela) Lowman, Lesley (Steve) O’Ferrell, Jamie (Stephen) Lowman, and Jennifer (Tony) Medina; grandchildren, Carly (Isaac) Morrison, Luke Infinger, Abbie Infinger, E.L. Bryant, Jay Lowman, Gavan Talpas, Jacob Lowman, and Molly Lowman; sister, Ellen (James) Atchinson; aunt, Oneida Marquis; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on December 29, 2018 at Whitmire Cemetery, Whitmire Drive, Pensacola, Florida.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Infinger, Steve O’Ferrell, Luke Infinger, Roger Grice, Gavan Talpas, Isaac Morrison, and E.L. Bryant. Stephen Perry will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Hugh E. Cleveland

December 23, 2018

Hugh E. Cleveland, 77, of Cantonment, FL, passed to his Heavenly Home December 19, 2018. He was born in Elberton, GA, on October 19, 1941, to the late Hugh and Doris Cleveland.

Hugh served as a deacon at Plainview Baptist Church in Pensacola. Hugh served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy retiring as senior chief in 1980. After his military career Hugh, went on to work at the University of West Florida for next 22 years.

Hugh’s favorite saying to everyone was “Be Nice”. He was the best father and grandfather with the gentlest of hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Doris Cleveland.

Hugh is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary A Cleveland (Precious); three sisters Pat, Camilia, and Jan; brother Tommy, two sons; Mickey (Beverly) and Randy (Susan); daughter; Cindy (Paul); seven
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Cascone, Beau Hornsby, Ethan Enfinger, Ethan Hornsby, Paul Cascone, and Scott Enfinger.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Bill Flannigan officiating. Burial will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at noon, prior to service.

Richard Thomas “Dick” Mason

Richard Thomas “Dick” Mason, 85 of Huxford, AL. passed away December 19, 2018, in Atmore, AL. He was retired from Yale Rubber Company, born in Applegate, Michigan on September 19, 1933 to the late Pierce and Marjorie Aikin Mason. He was a member of Huxford Community of Christ Church.

He is preceded in death by His Parents, His first wife, Dawn Mason and a Brother, Ed Mason.

Survivors are: His wife, Carolyn C. Mason of Huxford, AL. Son: Ron (Denise) Kloosterman of McNinnville, TN Daughter: Tami (David) Smith Century, FL. Step-Children: Ricky (Stephanie) Middleton of Huxford, AL. Pam (Chris) Scheurer of Theodore, AL. Johnny (Ginger) Middleton of Huxford, AL. Barry (Rhonda) Middleton of Bay Minette, AL. One Brother: Doug (Donna) Mason of Michigan. Two Sisters: Pat (Gene) Tank and Peg (Gene) Dorman both of Michigan. Thirteen Grandchildren, Twenty Great-Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.

Services will be Saturday December 22, 2018 at 11:30AM from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Seventy Wayne Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Huxford Community of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Kent Smith, Kyle Smith, Ron Kloosterman, Ricky Middleton, Johnny Middleton, Travis Middleton and Chase Coleman.

Kathryn T. Chapman

December 19, 2018

Kathryn T. Chapman, 93 of Atmore, AL. passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, in Atmore, AL. She was a homemaker. She was born in Allen, AL on March 20, 1925, to the late Fisher D. and Nettie Cammack Tarleton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Atmore.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Fisher Ruth Tucker, Maxine “Maggie” Weston; and one brother, Morris E. Tarleton .

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Giles D. Chapman, Jr. of Atmore, AL; one son, G. David (Carolyn) Chapman, III; one daughter, Mary “Kathy” (Bryan) Keel of Atmore, AL; two grandchildren, Dixon Keel and David (Melissa) Keel.

Graveside services will be Friday December 21, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Celebration of Life will be Friday December 21, 2018, at 1 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Atmore, with Dr. Debora Bishop officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to more than bricks fund for the First United Methodist Church of Atmore.

Esther Mae Creamer

December 19, 2018

Mrs. Esther Mae Creamer, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, in Century, Florida.

Mrs. Creamer was a native of Wallace, AL and had resided in Century, FL most of her life. She was a member of the Faith Bible Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Stella Barrow; husband of 37 years, Ervin Creamer and three brothers, Eugene Barrow, Jack Barrow and Frank Barrow.

She is survived by one son, Floyd Creamer of Mississippi; one daughter, Sue (Tony) Nolen of Century, FL; two brothers, Roger (Winnie) Barrow of Dayton, Ohio and Gary (Jean) Barrow of Century, FL; four grandchildren, Olivia Nolen, Zoe Creamer, Maddie Creamer and Abigail Creamer; two great-grandchildren, Bryson Moore and Braxton Moore and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Barrow officiating.

Burial was at Rock Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony Nolen, Jeff Nolen, Steve Creamer, Donald Godwin, Randy Murph and Joe Brown.

Johnny Braddock Mothershed

Mr. Johnny Braddock Mothershed, age 54, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, in Mobile, Alabama.

Mr. Mothershed was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore, AL. He was a member of the Church of the Living God of Atmore. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Frederick and Gladys Luverne Mothershed; nephew, Dyan Blake Barnhill; three aunts and four uncles.

He is survived by three sons, Captain Dexter (Candius) Donnell of Huntsville, AL, Johnny (Kaleigh) Donnell of McDavid, FL and Deputy Skyler (Allison) Donnell of Jay, FL; one daughter, Hillary Donnell Mothershed of Atmore, AL; two sisters, Dean (Rusty) Hodges of Atmore, AL and Freddie Bowen of Atmore, AL; nine grandchildren, Hayden Donnell, Hydee Donnell, Harlon Donnell, Porter Donnell, Emerson Donnell, Luke Donnell, Destiny Lynn, Felicity Lynn and Angelina Lynn and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Harrison officiating.

Burial was at the Mothershed Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Skyler Donnell, Johnny Donnell, Dexter Donnell, Brandon Sutton, Steve Morris and Dennis Biggs.

Eva Pearl McBride

December 15, 2018

Mrs. Eva Pearl McBride, age 74 of the Pollard community, died December 10, 2018.

Mrs. McBride was born in Brewton and was a life-long resident of Escambia County, Alabama.  She had worked as a cook at Jay Hospital for a number of years, and was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin McBride; a son, Bruce Gavin; three brothers, Fred Lisenby, Sam Lisenby, and Collin Lee Lisenby; two sisters, Emma Wilson, Doris Windham, Granddaughter, Heather Sutton and great-grandchild; and a great-grandson, Ronnie Higdon.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory Leon (Anita) Gavin, Carey Daniel (Donna) McBride, and Melvin (Jennifer) McBride, Jr., all of Flomaton, AL; two daughters, Eva Evon McBride of Lancaster, PA, and Cindy (Mark) Brittingham of Flomaton, AL; one brother, Carl Ralph Lisenby of Pensacola, FL; sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at noon at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Rusty Burnham officiating.

A time of visitation will be held at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church of Tuesday from 10 a.m.. until service time at noon.
